Chapter 796: 415 Evil Mother (4000)_2
“I’m afraid most people in this underground lab have turned into monsters, leaving
the only human left…” a terrified expression showed on his ugly face, “Wait, how did I escape those two patroln earlier…I can’t seem to recall clearly…”
In the span of a minute, Casio, facing four foes in the hall, finally grasped the essence of the tyrant fist technique. The Candle Soul and others were defeated, with the sword-wielding expert, a representative of the royal family, severely wounded. His will shattered, he fled deep into the experintal site. But he hadn’t got far before his path was blocked by a colossal, grotesquely malford creature at a turn.
Casio strode into this spacious alleyway, holding the white-haired man in his left hand and the Candle Soul in his right. He saw that the sword-wielding expert was stumbling backwards, while in front of him was a mountain of flesh embedded with human faces. It resembled a vermilion-wrinkled worm, its head had a prominent young face, albeit upside down.
And that inverted face was muttering things, speaking with resolution.
“How could I possibly be a monster, do I look like a monster to you?”
“I am human, a genuine human…”
“Psychopath!!!”
The sword-wielding expert cursed under his breath. Just like a lunatic never admits they’re mad, why would a monster say it looks like a monster?
“Monsters always claim they’re human, but the truth is evident…”
He blurted this out, but suddenly felt a chill run down his spine, as if a cold gaze was piercing through him.
The sword-wielding expert only then realized that while he was hesitating whether to fight the flesh mountain, Candle Soul and the remaining white-haired man were already falling apart under Casio’s power. Once that was done, Casio had co after him…
“I am a human! The only human who survived in this entire lab… Everyone else is a monster! Yes, every patrol team I ca across were monsters! And you are a monster too!” The flesh mountain rolled hypnotically, its emotions seemingly intensifying, and the suspended young human face suddenly turned to Casio, exclaiming.
“That’s right… and so are you…”
“Nonsense!” — Bang!
The hunk of at that had blocked the passageway exploded and within a split second, an overwhelming force obliterated it completely!
Bang, Bang, Bang, Bang, Bang!
A blurry silhouette was seen repeatedly throwing punches, producing a translucent arc-shaped energy shield around the body, which was actually the compressed air trails left by the punches. The flesh mountain’s body detonated as if it had a string of ti-delayed bombs planted inside it, shattering into fragnts inch by inch.
This all looked as effortless as snapping a few withered twigs.
In actuality, this totem variant did not resist without fight, the totems on its body erupted into light at the very instant they ca into contact with Casio’s fist.
However, it was all in vain. In the face of absolute power, they were nothing but jokes. The array of totems was crushed, along with the body’s defenses.
The flesh mountain naturally disintegrated like a water bag that couldn’t bear any more weight, bursting into chunks of flesh and blood under external pressure.
Standing in the rain of blood, Casio remained expressionless. Yet, his latent, dangerous aura was like a simring volcano that appeared peaceful but was rife with explosive magma underneath.
Casio’s right boot was stepping on a face twisted in pain, his gaze swept coldly over the sword-wielding man nearby. Those who slandered him, shall die…
The man holding the rapier shivered, Casio had attacked without warning and the monster, who hadn’t even finished speaking, was blown up. It seed as if a sensitive spot had been touched inadvertently. He was still thinking when he found himself locked in a gaze with those deep blue eyes which made him feel like he was plunging into an ice cellar.
His legs quaked and the sword-wielding man raised his only intact hand to give himself a karate chop, knocking himself out.
He knew he couldn’t defeat Casio, and the opportunity to run had passed.
So he gave in. If Casio wanted to kill him, he would kill him, if he wanted to capture him, he would capture him.
After all, as long as his eyes could open and close, it ant he was alive and had so use. If his eyes were closed and never opened, it was just a painless send-off.
Casio looked at the man who had fainted from a rapier wound and was surprised by his decisiveness. He thought for a few seconds, and then hurriedly threw another unconscious man with white hair in the sa direction, while sealing his acupuncture points with his Qi. Casio only took the still sober Candle Soul and dashed straight towards the depths of the experint field.
Tap, tap, tap… tap, tap, tap…
A series of footsteps sped through the grayish-white corridor.
At every corner, sheets of blood and torn clothing were scattered. Clearly, the guards inside the experintal field had been killed.
Guided by Candle Soul, Casio arrived at the level where the jail for dark creatures and the conversion pool was situated. He slowly crossed the corner, the entire hallway was covered in a blood mist and scattered limbs. It was as if a bloody massacre had just occurred, the air was filled with a nauseating sll.
Without any change in his expression, Casio directly entered the hall.
Imdiately, he could feel the concentration of disaster in the air was much higher than elsewhere. Casio looked around the room and went straight to the conversion pool. There was nobody, and the converted pool water had vanished. Only a stone tablet was floating in mid-air, continuously spinning. Around the stone tablet was a grey mist vortex, half the size of the conversion pool, exuding a sense of extre danger.
“What happened?” Casio asked Candle Soul directly.
Candle Soul honestly shook his head: “Honestly, I don’t know much about the current situation, such a big experintal failure has never occurred before. This vortex leads to sowhere mysterious and dangerous, I advice to stay away from there, don’t encounter unknown danger.”
Casio carefully discerned and confird that he was telling the truth. Candle Soul sincerely advised Casio to stay away from the vortex because he was carried on Casio’s shoulder. Without any hesitation, Candle Soul was sure that if any particularly dangerous situation arose, he would be thrown at it first, to probe the danger.
After about ten seconds, Casio temporarily moved away from the dangerous conversion pool. He was looking for the experintation data and records of the dark creatures being experinted on by the Organization.
These docunts were stored in the jail cell where the dark creatures were held.
The sa level, jail area, central corridor.
A black figure flashed by, slowing down gradually. Casio looked at an open room, inside were human-sized glass containers. They were filled with a thick, transparent liquid similar to formalin, and various exotic organs and specins were quietly floating in the liquid.
A few rooms further were experintal tables and operating rooms filled with cold machinery. Many skeletons of dark creatures were arranged together.
Finally, Casio arrived at a spot similar to an archive room.
As he was about to enter, he noticed a room not too far away with a heavily damaged door. He imdiately quickened his pace and boldly walked in. After scrutinizing the room, he found out that a deadly fight was ongoing between two monsters, and the outco was already clear.
The gargoyle could hardly defend itself, both its wings had been torn off. Against it was a humanoid creature, almost three ters tall. It had an even physique resembling a human woman, but with three pairs of dragonfly-like transparent wings on its back. It also had nurous arms, each in a peculiar position.
Every ti it attacked, every pose seed to possess a peculiar ability. It looked like an Evil Mother, with a dangerous yet strange beauty. Her body was covered in interwining black totems, exuding a savage and primal aura. She sensed soone had intruded.
She imdiately jumped down and shredded the Gargoyle to pieces, snatching its totem in the process. She turned around abruptly, her crimson eyes locked onto Casio.
Then two pairs of intense, blood-red eyes stared each other down in silence.
