Chapter 766: 401 Rough Solution (4000)_2

Half a minute later, another dark creature scurried by. This ti, Soss felt sothing was off. One after another, the dark creatures seed to be heading toward the comrcial district.

Sothing seed to be happening there.

Doubting in his heart, Soss waited in place for another two to three minutes. During this ti, two more beast-level dark creatures passed by, hurrying with clear destinations. He stood up imdiately, leaped from the rooftop, and followed the trail of the last dark creature.

Florence’s Third District, buildings near the Imperial Museum.

Under the dim moonlight, a half-man, half-wolf dark creature suddenly leaped out of an alley. It landed on an enclosure wall with its bent back legs, its dark body fur flaring wildly. Opening its long, ferocious wolf mouth, it greedily sucked in so air. Its fur puffed up all over its body, faintly glowing.

The werewolf set its sights on a direction and sprinted off.

Behind it, other dark creatures were enticed out by the commotion.

About a hundred ters away, Claire watched all this in silence. She extended her slender fingers to pinch the crystal earring on her right ear, and it gradually turned red. Claire silently turned around, following the tracks of the werewolf.

Florence’s Fourth District, the Central Garden; a torch made of Black Bait Wood had already burned a quarter down. Casio covered his surrounding space, watching and waiting. Ghost Man claid that Black Bait Wood was highly effective — a big chunk as Casio had now should be even more effective. Casio wanted to see just how effective it could be, although he felt that if it could lure the ghoul out tonight, it would be considered a success.

Ti ticked away, and it was about eight forty at night.

In the far corner of the Central Garden, hidden behind so flowers, a young man dressed like an apprentice tailor was crouched. He hunched over, pushing aside the branches to peek through the leaves. His eyes were fixed greedily and hungrily on the middle of the plaza.

The youth blinked, each blink producing another black pupil in each of his eyes. After blinking dozens of tis, his eyes were full of black pupils crowded together, making his eyes appear like disgusting bug eggs.

He breathed heavily, greedily inhaling the fragrant scent around him. His mouth opened wider and wider, and a coiled, crimson tongue dropped down, resembling a chaleon’s tongue full of flesh tumors, the end of which ended in a sharp mouth.

“So fragrant… So fragrant… I must… I must have it!”

The youth muttered to himself as if in a trance. He took another deep breath and backed away a couple of steps. With a thud, his back seed to hit a thick wall. The wall gave off warmth as if under so imnse magnetic field.

“Eek…”

The young man felt the air around him fleeing under pressure, unable to move. The voice from behind him said,

“Slls good, doesn’t it? Too bad it’s not prepared for you… Hehehe…”

Before the young man could react, he felt a sharp pain in his skull and his vision spun 360 degrees. He saw a sturdy arm gripping his hair, and a headless corpse. The next mont, a frightful vibrato penetrated deep into his skull.

Everything in front of him suddenly turned black, and there was no more light.

A minute later, a two-headed hunting dog leaped down from the top of the stairs, ferociously charging towards the torch at the center of the plaza. Mid-air, a spiral purple spear whizzed through the air and pierced through it.

The hunting dog was thrown to the other side by the massive force, followed by a rumbling sound.

That dog was blown to pieces by the explosion contained in the Roaring Sound Gun. Its bones and flesh scattered, falling like a bloody rain.

All these trivial creatures were rely of the beast-level. Having the ghoul not yet arrive wasn’t a problem, but at least so wild beasts would give Casio a warm-up.

In the next few minutes, dark creatures continuously made their way from all directions. Without exception, none of them escaped their doom. So were nailed to the flower bed and were turned into fertilizers, others had their flesh evenly spread out on the plaza.

Casio raised an eyebrow, surprised at how many dark creatures the fourth district had been hiding. In fact, they didn’t just co from the fourth district. If one viewed from high above, they could observe how the dark creatures from the third, fourth and fifth districts of Florence were all stirred up, all rushing towards the central garden.

The Black Bait Wood with the thickness of an arm had a much better effect than he anticipated.

At this point, Casio didn’t bother to hide. He stood proudly in the center of the plaza, surrounded by the corpses of the dark creatures. The sll of the Black Bait Wood had a greater pull on the dark creatures than their instinctive fear, so they still continuously ca to offer themselves up.

The sll of blood was thick in the air. As Casio looked at the slow-burning torch, he thought about the source of it all. It was no wonder that such a valuable resource required a high level of authority to exchange for in the Black Rain Villa.

If Ghost Man didn’t complete two World of Catastrophes tasks to level up, he probably wouldn’t have enough authority to purchase this arm-thick Black Bait Wood.

Casio thought to himself that next ti he sees Ghost Man, he must asked him to exchange for a few more pieces. It’s best to be prepared since he never knew when he might need them.

Suddenly, at the west side of the Central Garden, a fast-moving figure floated across the ground. She was dressed in tattered white robes, with a gray hair that was one to two ters long. Her exposed skin was covered with green scales, her face ugly as a hawk and her eyes hollow. Her left hand was normal, but her right hand was a round flesh tumor that looked smooth like a crystal divination ball.
