Chapter 470: 263 Black Peacock (4000)_2

Thud!!!

A punch landed on the rear lid of the car like a teorite. The massive force roared and surged, pressing down heavily like a massive road roller. Unsurprisingly, the tal lid twisted and crumpled under the weight, throwing the entire vehicle off balance.

The front wheels of the blue car lifted off the ground, whereas the rear-end was pressed firmly into the muddy grounds below, causing a streak of flas from the friction.

The high-speed vehicle ca to an abrupt stop.

The gunman clung onto the edge to prevent himself from falling out of the hole. He barely lifted his head, only to find a pair of scarlet eyes staring back at him, within which a blood vulture was increasingly magnified.

“Ahhhhhhhh!”

A simple glare fully shattered the gunman’s spirit. The aura of a fighter was overwhelmingly intimidating for ordinary people.

Though Casio never practiced techniques like psychological suggestions or hypnosis, a re eye-to-eye contact from him could make anyone break down in fear.

It was as if entities of darkness naturally emitted an aura that shook the living.

“Who sent you?”

With one hand clutching the underside of the car and the other punching through the tal roof above, Casio questioned the gunman.

“It… was… was… Lord Black Peacock…”

Through his tears and sobs, the gunman began to speak. He felt as though he was engulfed in a blood-red world, filled with a chillingly dense mist of gore. Above the mist, a superior being questioned him, and every word struck right into his soul.

“Who is the Black Peacock?” Casio continued.

“It’s the… boom!”

An explosion suddenly went off inside the car — turns out, soone aware of the failed mission tried to commit suicide by pulling a grenade.

Rather unfortunately, owing to the enclosure of the car and the proximity of the explosion, all the mbers of ‘Group B,’ including the gunman, were instantly killed.

Casio, with a face as dark as the night, threw the entire vehicle to the ground. The car shook violently upon hitting the ground while the tallic structure let out a nauseating creak. The gunman’s corpse slipped from the gaping hole and fell on the ground.

Four dark green grenades were still hanging from his waist.

When Feng Liusi arrived in Sheng Feinan’s car, he found Casio leaning against the blue vehicle, toying with a grenade. His clothes were severely torn, and the wind continuously billowed his torn overcoat, outlining a rather lean figure.

“What happened?” Feng Liusi asked.

He hadn’t followed Casio to the chase as ordinary human gunn could not possibly pose any deadly threat to him.

“They should be from the Organization,” Casio replied.

There was no residue aura of dark creatures on them, so they couldn’t be mbers of the Blood Spirit Association. The mind-shattered gunman had also ntioned ‘the door,’ though his words were interrupted.

“They also ntioned sothing about a Black Peacock, referred to with ‘your lordship,’ suggesting that he probably holds a high position within the Organization…”

Casio, eyeing the grenade in his hand, slowly continued.

“Black Peacock? I know this person. Ever since that defeat ten years ago, I’ve been asking the Blood Vulture Organization to keep an eye on the Organization and gathered so intel. Like Ghost Knife Garoro, Black Peacock is also a core mber of the Organization.”

Feng Liusi’s eyes sparkled with a hint of reminiscence.

“He is most likely a strong individual, appearing in the eastern part of the Hong Li Federation five years ago, and participated in a highly dangerous supernatural event. He was among the few survivors at the end. It is predicted that he has at least the skills of a fighter…”

“As to whether he is at the level of a veteran fighter or at Garoro’s level, that’s unclear. However, my guess is that he is slightly weaker than Garoro. After all, Garoro focuses on attack and damage, which makes him one of the strongest…”

Feng Liusi made a brief analysis, finally estimating the Black Peacock’s strength to be sowhere in between that of a veteran fighter and Ghost Knife Garoro.

“Not just one but more than one core mber from the Organization has co to the East Sea County. It seems like the Gold Antique Exhibition has sothing that attracts them particularly! Well… hehehe… they won’t get what they want…”

He suddenly started laughing, narrowing his eyes as if plotting sothing. The group engaged in a short discussion.

They then got into Sheng Feinan’s Civic car.

It was good to have prepared in advance, or else they would have had to ‘borrow’ a car again.

The car slowly moved forward, with Casio sitting by the window, still fiddling with the hand grenades. As the car body passed the damaged blue car, four grenades with the pins pulled were casually tossed over.

Inside the car, a blood-covered corpse suddenly ca back to life. With wide eyes, it stared at the four grenades in its arms.

In the last second, it left a mournful dying breath.

“TMD, where is Team C!!!”

The black car moved forward like a streamlined long fish swimming in water. Behind it, the consecutive explosions suddenly rang out.

They were so close that they seed to rge into one.

With a loud bang, Casio glanced casually over his shoulder.

He saw a car, burning like a fireball amidst the wreckage.

In the red firelight that blocked the view, a hand seed to be struggling, slowly turning into withered black charcoal in the intense heat.

Two minutes later.

The black car continued on its way, quickly passing a vehicle leisurely driving on the side of the road. After a while, until the black car was out of sight, the leisurely vehicle stopped and gradually pulled over to the side.

The car window slowly rolled down, revealing four n inside, all sweaty. Their expressions were tense, their faces uneasy.

From ti to ti, they looked ahead, as if fearful of sothing.

A breeze blew by, cooling them slightly and the unease in their hearts disappeared along with the black car.

“Leader, I guess the guys from Team A and B have been killed by the target… What should we do next?” The man in the passenger seat took a deep breath and asked in a relaxed tone.

“What to do? Obviously, go back. The mission failed.”

The man, a bald hulk sitting in the driver’s seat, spoke bitterly.

“Ah? We abandoned Team A and B and didn’t cause any harm to the target, aren’t we going back…?”

The man in the passenger’s seat opened his mouth.

“Can’t you speak properly!?” The bald man smacked the man on the head: “What do you an we abandoned Team A and Team B? This is called a strategic retreat! Did you see how fierce they were? As soon as they made a move, they wiped out Team A, even flipping the whole car! Motherf**ker, they didn’t even use the rocket launcher! Are we going up there to die?”

His fierce gaze swept across the mbers in the car: “In this situation, I believe our brothers from Team A and B would understand us. There’s a big discrepancy between our mission target and the intelligence. Team A got instantly wiped out, Team B got entangled and couldn’t get away.”

“I’m sure our brothers hope that we, this sole survivor, will live on and relay the information. We can’t let them down…”

The bald man’s voice was inexplicably a bit sorrowful.

The man in the passenger’s seat opened his mouth but didn’t retort in the end. It seed that the illusionary scene depicted by the leader had eased his guilty conscience. Yes, the brothers would definitely understand…

He paused, only to ask another question.

“Boss, we didn’t make any progress, though. We didn’t even fire a shot, and we’ll be punished by the organization when we return.”

“Who said we didn’t make any progress? Didn’t we destroy one of the enemy’s vehicles with a rocket launcher? Doesn’t that count?”

The bald man slapped him again.

“Ah?” The man sat there stunned, seemingly understanding sothing. It was a dawning realization. But then he had doubts again.

“But, our ammunition…”

Whoosh~~~Boom!!!

A rocket grenade flew out of the window, gliding all the way. It finally exploded in a faraway place, leaving a red dot of fire in their field of view. The bald team leader put down the rocket launcher on his shoulder, turned around, and patted the man in the passenger seat on the shoulder.

“Teams A, B, and C went on this mission, and due to discrepancies in the intelligence, the battle was extrely tough. Teams A and B were completely wiped out. Only Team C barely escaped, and we used a rocket launcher to destroy one of the enemy’s cars, but we don’t know if we caused any casualties.”

“Do you understand?”
