Chapter 278: 179 Richard Pendulum Swings (4000)_1

The contour was rather blurry, just rely a few intertwined black lines forming an oval, barely resembling a human figure. According to its position, this person was outside the alley of the single house, sticking close to the white enclosure wall.

A passerby? Drunkard? Or perhaps…

Casio blinked, opening his eyes, his senses, which were temporarily blocked, snapped back instantly. The entire world beca three-dinsional.

He stood up and walked to the glass, opening the window.

He didn’t turn on the light, he rely stuck his head out in the dimness to look below in the direction he had heard the noise.

There was a patch of green ornantal trees blocking the wall. The human contour that Casio sensed was on the other side of the base of the enclosure wall.

His gaze moved slightly, placing one hand on the window sill, and he jumped directly from the second-floor window. His tiptoe touched the ground without making any sound, not even the sound of a normal person walking.

All that could be heard was the rustling of leaves in the cold wind.

Casio walked step by step, gradually approaching the enclosure wall on the north side of the single house. The shadow of the trees completely concealed him.

Without any hesitation, Casio leaped lightly over the wall.

His gaze t with a pair of red pupils that were looking up. A look of astonishnt flashed in both their eyes.

Because…

The human in front of him was shockingly the Red Eye Level Shadow Demon that Casio had imprisoned in the basent and had escaped. It was completely outrageous!

This thing escaped? And then ca back?!

Casio raised an eyebrow, inexplicably feeling like laughing. He knew that so criminals go back to the cri scene to appreciate their work but had never heard of an escaped convict returning to the jail for a visit. Wouldn’t that be too stupid?

Or did the Shadow Demon have so backing? Was it confident that it brought a gang to attack him, making him pay the price?

He imdiately scanned the surroundings. The alleyway was relatively dim, and moonlight was sparse. There was no trace of anyone else.

So… who gave you the courage to co back?

Casio turned his head again, looking at the Shadow Demon who seed to be petrified on the spot. This Red Eye Level Shadow Demon’s pupils contracted, his claws trembling uncontrollably, as if suffering from a stress disorder.

As if he had Parkinson’s.

Under normal conditions, Shadow Demons are bloodthirsty and violent beasts. Their potent life force can even petrify humans on the spot, rendering them helpless to be butchered. But now the roles have reversed, with Casio’s unexpected appearance filling the Red Eye Level Shadow Demon with unprecedented horror, like a nesis.

Because, Casio had displayed a more terrifying violent form during that night’s chase and battle. Moreover, he had subjected it to unimaginable torture in the basent afterward.

Training it like a punching bag, ruthlessly forcing confessions with an iron fist, each humiliating slap had completely shattered the Shadow Demon’s self-esteem.

After being rescued, it had taken two or three days to recover. It had chosen tonight to approach this single house that gave it nightmares again in order to overco its psychological barrier.

Oh, and to check up on that man.

But, who would’ve expected…

On the street, Casio smiled nonchalantly. He could infer so of the reasons why the Red Eye Level Shadow Demon had returned. If it were not for his exercise of Heart-eye Secret Technique, enhancing his hearing when he had blocked out other senses, he wouldn’t have detected the Shadow Demon’s presence.

One can only say it’s quite the coincidence.

Casio’s face revealed a smile, a fierce montum burst from his body, he walked step by step.

“Ah!”

The Red Eye Level Shadow Demon yelled, as if waking from a dream. This tall and strong brown-haired man resembled a child awakened from a nightmare, his pale face filled with panic.

He swiftly moved sideways, his feet like springs, and instantly dashed into the darkness of the alleyway, like a bolt of lightning.

The sudden surge in speed left even Casio a bit in awe.

Indeed, when facing a crisis, whether it’s humans, animals, or anything else, they can unleash astonishing potential.

In less than half a second, the brown-haired man had disappeared at the end of the alleyway. But Casio wasn’t panicking, he was calm and composed. What he wanted was for the Red Eye Level Shadow Demon to run.

The faster it ran, the more panicked, the more noise it made, the better.

When a fish stirs in a pond, other fish will always be alard. Casio’s strength had increased by a notch compared to before his retrospection, with the Major Accomplishnt strength of a fighter, he had the qualification to fish.

“What’s going on?”

Two figures leaped over the white wall, it was the magician and Catwoman. They were likely awakened and drawn by the yell of the Red Eye Level Shadow Demon just prior, showing a bit of vigilance.

The magician was wearing his characteristic black suit, with the buttons yet to be done up. The inside was lined with countless pockets full of various tal hidden weapons and tools.

On the other hand, Catwoman Heisha seed more hasty, wearing only a set of undergarnts. Her well-rounded body was exposed without doubt.

A charming face paired with a pale bosom, plus wine-red wavy hair draping over her shoulders. It was quite seductive.

At least, it had an astonishing effect on the Magician.

Casio, however, did not pay too much attention; he just took a glance at both of them, leaving behind the instruction to watch the house. He then stomped his foot and turned into a black afterimage, rushing into the dim alleyway.

The magician and Catwoman at the scene shared a look, then climbed back over wall, returning to their respective bedrooms through the window.
