Chapter 153: 125 I’m affected! (4100)_1

Boom!!!

A fist like a teor hamr slams into the chest of a half-leopard man, tearing through it in a bloody burst. Showing no signs of stopping, the arm, carrying the body of the leopard man, violently crashes into a large tree.

Thunk! Rustle…

Leaves turn into a green rain like common droplets.

The leopard man hangs in the air, feet off the ground. His arms and head droop, his mouth spilling hot blood in a terrible frenzy.

The injection of beast blood, known for instantly amplifying physical combat ability and resilience, has always been the trademark of beast-n. Yet, the leopard man’s life force is utterly useless against the iron-like fist that impales him. A horrifying strength emanates from the collapsed chest, spreading shock waves in all directions.

If the leopard man were dissected at this mont, one could see the internal organs completely shattered. This kind of injury is more terrifying than severing limbs, and no amount of healing ability would suffice.

Squish!

A crimson arm, clenched into a fist, retracts.

The corpse falls, revealing a hole in the tree trunk behind it, the size of a head. Broken bits of wood, shaken loose like a cascade of water, cover the Leopard man’s unblinking head.

“Beast-blood injection? Huh, just counterfeit.”

Casio sneers contemptuously to himself, “Only muscles! Only muscles are almighty! Bigger, denser, sturdier, and stronger!”

“You… you… you…”

Three remaining beast-n, in stunned shock, halt their charge instantly. Soone was just ripped apart in the blink of an eye!

This wasn’t any arcane skill that killed him, but instead, the raw power of the man across from them. The spectacle of such brutal strength unfolding before the three was more intimidating, more oppressive, and incredibly terrifying than any other thod.

Without any hesitation, the three turn and run.

The sound of footsteps in the mud echoes back to them from behind, followed by a voice that seems to have appeared out of nowhere, “A formidable physique contrasted with pitiful skill… your purity level is staggeringly low…”

Thud!

The head of one of the running beast-n suddenly burst open, scattered brains and gore projecting in a fan shape to their front, reminiscent of a waterlon smashed open.

The decapitated body instinctively runs forward a couple of steps before face-planting onto the road where muddy water has mixed with blood.

The other two scream and make a desperate dash.

However, a colossal shadow suddenly appears behind them, a hand grabs their heads, then a foot kicks their backs. With a horrifying force, the two n fly and glide across the muddy ground for a dozen ters or so, their necks gushing with blood the whole way.

Back at the original spot, Casio, with an iron countenance, holds two skulls.

No one can stop him from regaining his power, no one can stop him from completing his mission, not even the Black Rain Villa!

“Tore my pants… damn it…”

On the small path in the forest, Casio lowers his head to look at the fabric that has started to tear due to the violent fight. His hands automatically squeeze the skulls he was holding and, with a pop, the skulls explode, blood gushing.

He raises his hand, allowing the rainwater to rinse off the blood.

The rush of adrenaline fades, leaving a cold sensation invading his mind. Casio glances around, his surroundings a ss, full of gore and gristle. The two skulls just crushed are like deflated balls, buried in the mud.

“Sothing is not right, I’m being affected!”

“Even if I’m high on adrenaline, I wouldn’t be this brutal!”

“Is it the Shadow Demon!?”

He abruptly turns to look at his shadow amongst the gentle rain, where his shadow overlaps with the shadow of a large tree.

It seems to be hidden in the crown shade of the tree.

“No, it’s not the Shadow Demon… This body is from the twilight of the Era of Retrospection. I definitely felt so influence from the Shadow Demon, but not as severe as in reality. So it must be the Black Rain Villa! Is it the Logo?” Casio lifts his right hand to look at the shield-shaped logo on it, “Or… is it the Secret Soul?”

He wrinkles his eyebrows, seemingly pondering sothing.

According to his mories of the twilight, he doesn’t seem to have encountered a similar situation. Eerie Night Guests from supernatural paths like Beast-blood, rcury-blooded, and Shadow-bred indeed have their consciousness affected, but mainly it’s their will that gets altered by the source of their powers.

Beast-blood, transcendent rcury, dark beast organs.

As far as his twilight mories go, the Secret Soul is a very pure substance, with no strange add-on influences. At least, he didn’t encounter any issues when he used it as a twilight.

“The Secret Soul has no issues? Impossible!”

“There must be a problem!”

“Maybe it’s because the Twilight used too little, but I used more. Naturally, from small accumulations, a big impact has erged…”

Casio finds a reasonable possibility and gives a slight nod. Turning around, he returns to his initial position.

On the ground, there is a black cloak, a pale red heavy wooden box, and a Furious Steam chanical Silver Crossbow.

Casio steps forward and quickly puts on the specially made cloak. He finds he is still better suited for wearing such ample black fabric. That way, he doesn’t have to worry about losing his clothes during a fight. He can simply throw off the cloak, finish off his enemies, and then put the cloak back on.

He bends down to pick up the sowhat heavy box.

Casio then picks up the chanical Crossbow, pulling the black cord over his neck like wielding a small kettle. Of course, he hasn’t forgotten that he’s still part of the crossbow-route.

A few hours later, at the Black Rain Villa, Baptism Church.

Within a dimly lit, eerily quiet secret room.
