Chapter 1243: 623 Battle Battle Battle Battle Battle Battle! (4400)

Looking up, he gazed at the sky. A thick sar of ink had diffused at the top of Heaven’s Curtain.

Dark, heavy black clouds and fog mingled together, reducing the light to an extrely faint degree. Every inch of air contained energy particles even smaller than bacteria and microorganisms, nad Calamities, altering the entire environnt of the world. It used to be called the Depths, but now it was known as the World of Calamities.

The World of Calamities stretched desolate before him, dominated by shades of gray, white, and black.

Of course, there was occasionally the cruel embellishnt of blood red.

Among the hills, beneath the mountain ranges, by the muddy lakesides, monstrous wild beasts known as Dark Creatures revelled in their slaughter. They possessed various bizarre abilities, adhering to the law of the survival of the fittest, ruthlessly venting their violence. Such was the underlying tone of the entire World of Calamities, where ultimate beings devoured everything.

Naked violence constructed the fundantal structure and order of the world.

Here, the powerful thrived like fish in water, while the weak could only shudder. As all pretense of civilization was ripped away, leaving only brutality and cannibalism, the most adapted beings ascended to the throne of flesh.

On the edge of the Dark Mountains and Rivers Area, across a vast plain, countless calamity creatures hunted or were hunted. It was akin to the real world’s prairie, where the elephant is king of the land, wolf packs chase antelopes, and lions hunt wild horses and buffalo. Here, too, a similar ecosystem prevailed. However, due to the undead characteristics and formidable abilities of the dark creatures, this hunting and slaughtering process beca eerie and mysterious.

Thousands of dark creatures inhabited and road the plain.

Yet that day, suddenly, a bizarre noise, echoing like thunder, stirred above the clouds.

Boom, boom, boom, boom…

In an instant, it was as if a vast fleet of fighter planes were at maximum firepower, reaching peak Mach speed, emitting a resonant sound. Almost simultaneously with this sound, the entire visible plain turned dark.

Sothing colossal in the clouds completely blocked out the light.

Its massive contour was indistinct, only a corner winding like mountain ranges could be seen, seemingly the tip of a ferocious raptor’s wing.

It carried a bizarrely burning spiral shadow.

The next second, a crackling sound rang out. A dense rain of flesh fell, debris of flying dark creatures from the clouds, bones shattered, feathers mixed with muscles, turned into a heavy rain.

Wherever the massive shadow in the clouds flew, the flesh rain followed. Creatures on the surface of the plain, in both fear and excitent, feasted on this flesh, even exhibiting a maniacally joyful frenzy.

Sotis, their appetite easily overpowered reason.

And so, the price of irrationality arrived, the Great Decomposition descended.

On the black plain, all dark creatures that attempted to consu or even touch the flesh rain experienced the most intense pain of their lives. Blood-red sharp teeth tore through flesh and bones, spiralling through brain marrow, like a at grinder turned to its highest setting. They were pulverized, spiraling into a puddle of mush.

The intermittent screams overlapped, ghostly and wolfish, but they could not change anything. The cries ca quickly and ended quickly, and shortly afterward, the plain fell silent, leaving only patches of flesh that looked like lupus erythematosus. And on the surface of these flesh patches, a peculiar magnetic field fluctuation ford distorted ripples, sucked away by an unknown force.

This was a preditated massacre.

The mass murderer was a gluttonous devil!

He was non-selective in his diet, lackadaisically showcasing his voracious appetite. Even the large-scale slaughter and destruction, wildly severing the entire food chain, were more extre than when those Dark Ultimate Level Entities ventured out to hunt. Typically, even the most brutally natured Dark Ultimate Level Entity would leave so seeds in the feeding areas, like nurturing chives awaiting the next harvest.

But, the horrifying entity that arrived today did not like to do so.

He was more brutal, more extre, truly a disruptor of order.

In a brief span, after the massive shadow swept across the entire plain and the land was illuminated once again, nearly millions of dark creatures had been killed and devoured!

“Feasting voraciously before a great battle is quite essential.”

“To rge with an existence of my higher life essence, as fragile as you weeds are, is an honor. You should be thanking …”

In the gray-black cloud layer, the massive Blood Vulture Phanstasm shrank and transford back into a humanoid life form draped in an overcoat. He hovered silently in high altitude, under a strange Blood Moon, looking down with drooping eyelids.

His hands clasped behind him, the hem of his trench coat and black hair fluttered.

Ever since Casio had entered the World of Calamities, he would partake in large-scale hunting every so often, storing ample life vibration energy. Of course, it wasn’t to enhance his strength—ordinary dark creatures’ life vibration energy was no longer of use to him. These life vibrations were actually reserves for healing, ensuring that the body of the Demon Idol could rapidly recover.

After all, this ti, Casio was up against one of the top ten Dark Ultimate Level Entities in the Endless Calamity, the Totem King, Cassius!

All Totems, all Totemic power, the ultimate destination.

Compared to Golden Power he had encountered before, it was minuscule against Totem King. There was a significant difference even among Dark Ultimate Level Entities.
