Chapter 21 – He’s Taller, Buffer, and Hotter Than You!
But the roommates didn’t dwell on it too much.
After all, they’d been dating for three years.
Calling each other “hubby” and “wifey” seed pretty normal.
Seeing that no one suspected anything, Zheng Wanqing let out a quiet sigh of relief.
That was close!
I thought I gave it away!
Ye Fei shot her a look.
As if to say, You’re overthinking it. These guys don’t have the brainpower for that!
Ye Fei and Zheng Wanqing headed to the library to work on their papers.
Originally, the roommates had no intention of tagging along.

But in the end, they still went together!

“How co I had no clue?”
“What does he have that I don’t?!”
“I seriously don’t know where I went wrong!”
Li Zhe instantly spiraled into an identity crisis.
Back at his dorm, his roommates had just returned from their dog food² buffet at the library.
“Li Zhe, listen man, we were just at the library!”
“Honestly, you need to move on!”
“There are plenty of fish in the sea—why cling to one flower?”
“Besides, Zheng Wanqing has a boyfriend now. You’re really out of the ga.”
“Actually, scratch that. You never were in the ga.”
Li Zhe sighed.
Sure, their words made sense—but he couldn’t accept it.
Still, what could he do?
There was nothing he could change now.
And as if his heartbreak wasn’t enough, his unfiltered roommates twisted the knife:
“Even if she didn’t have a boyfriend, you still wouldn’t have had a shot.”
“Right? You chased her for years—she gave you so many nice guy cards, they’re practically expired.”
“If I were you, I’d transfer schools out of sheer embarrassnt.”
“Besides, we saw her boyfriend too.”
“He’s taller, buffer, and way more handso than you!”
Li Zhe muttered under his breath, “Damn it! You guys are useless at everything—except stabbing in the heart!”
Inside the library, Zheng Wanqing finally finished her professional coursework paper after several hours.
And just for good asure, she helped Ye Fei write one too.
Ye Fei’s grades were terrible.
But ever since he got a genius girlfriend, His assignnts beca so polished, even the professors were stunned.
“Ye Fei, I was wondering how your paper turned out so well before!”
“I thought you’d been secretly studying on the side.”
“Turns out your girlfriend wrote it for you!”
“Man, I’m so jealous of you taken guys.”
“Unlike —three to five days and I can’t even squeeze out a paragraph.”
“Haha! So relatable.”
One of the roommates chid in, “By the way, Ye Fei, now that you’re off the market, don’t forget to have your girl introduce us to so ladies too.”
“She probably knows a bunch of senior girls.”
Zheng Wanqing had a great personality, and since these were Ye Fei’s roommates,
She replied, “Sure! Let know what kind of girls you like. I’ll keep an eye out.”
One said, “Female, tall, long hair, preferably sexy, and long legs.”
Zheng Wanqing laughed, “Actually, we have soone just like that in our dorm. I can introduce you.”
The guy practically lit up.
Holy crap, sis-in-law, you’re amazing!
Their admiration for Ye Fei grew even more.
Zheng Wanqing turned to Ye Fei and said, “Hubby, I’ve also been aning to introduce you to my dorm mates.”
“Since tomorrow’s the weekend, how about we all go out for dinner together tomorrow night?”
“Okay? Hubby!”
Ye Fei had no objections. Now that they’d gone public, this made sense.
More importantly—by tomorrow night,
His secret task of hiding his 10 million yuan fortune would be over.
If all went well, he might even score a badass reward!
Ye Fei nodded, “Sure, wifey. Let your dorm mates know tonight.”
“Tell them we’re all getting together for dinner tomorrow—and I’m treating.”
Zheng Wanqing nodded. “Got it, hubby! But don’t go overboard. My girls aren’t picky. A cozy local spot for hostyle food will do.”
