The sports festival had brought a lively energy to the school.

The sound of excited chatter echoed across the corridors, accompanied by the faint whistles of referees and the occasional announcents over the speakers.

The sun shone brightly, casting a warm glow over the school grounds, while colorful flags fluttered in the breeze.

Inside the locker room, Adam stood in front of his locker, deep in thought.

His friend Leo had just left after their conversation.

Adam’s words had reassured him, but Leo’s faith in him added a sense of pressure that Adam couldn’t ignore.

Leo had said, "I trust you completely. If you’re this confident, you must have a solid plan. Good luck."

After Leo left, Adam opened his bag, pulling out his sports attire—a crisp white shirt and matching white shorts that ended just above his knees.

The contrast with his usual school uniform, a bright pink shirt with green pants, felt almost symbolic.

He carefully folded his school uniform and placed it inside the locker.

As he changed into his sports clothes, Adam glanced at his reflection in the locker’s small mirror.

The white outfit suited him, bringing out the sharpness of his features.

He adjusted the collar of his shirt and ran a hand through his hair, feeling a renewed determination.

Exiting the boys’ locker room, Adam’s attention was drawn to the girls’ locker room a short distance away.

At that mont, Ani stepped out, dressed in her own sports attire.

She wore a fitted white shirt that complented her delicate fra and a matching skirt that swayed slightly as she walked.

Her silver hair shimred under the sunlight, perfectly matching her blue eyes.

Adam found himself montarily srized. Ignoring the few students around them, he approached her.

His voice carried a genuine warmth as he said, "You look amazing."

Ani’s cheeks flushed slightly. Surprised by Adam’s boldness, especially in the presence of others, she replied with a smile, "You look good too."

Adam chuckled softly. "Thanks. Best of luck for your gas."

Ani’s smile widened as she responded, "I wish you the best too. I hope you win."

Their brief exchange left an unspoken connection lingering in the air.

As Adam walked away, Ani’s gaze followed him, a thoughtful expression on her face.

Suddenly, her friend Monica approached from behind. "Were you just talking to soone?"

Ani flinched slightly at the question, quickly glancing around to ensure no one else had noticed. "No, I wasn’t. You must be imagining things."

Monica raised an eyebrow but eventually shrugged. "Maybe you’re right. Let’s go; the others are waiting."

Together with a small group of friends, Ani headed toward the sports ground.

anwhile, Adam wandered through the school corridors, taking in the bustling atmosphere.

He liked to observe how the day was unfolding, the mix of excitent and nervousness among the students.

At the other end of the corridor, Sakura, the student council president, was conversing with her peers.

Her authoritative presence was hard to miss. Dressed impeccably as always, she exuded a natural confidence that commanded respect.

As her gaze fell on Adam, a flicker of curiosity crossed her face. She excused herself, her tone sharp yet composed.

"I’ll be right back. I’m heading to the restroom. Do you want to co with there as well?"

Her companions hesitated, caught off guard by her sarcasm. One of them stamred, "Uh, no, sorry."

Sakura walked away, her expression softening into her usual composed deanor. She approached Adam, her movents graceful yet deliberate.

Adam turned, sensing her presence. Upon recognizing her, he smiled faintly.

Sakura regarded him with a slight tilt of her head. "You look good in this outfit."

Adam chuckled. "Thanks. Aren’t you participating in any gas? You haven’t changed."

Sakura shook her head. "No, I’m not competing. I have too many responsibilities as the council president."

Falling into step beside him, he added, "Is it alright for to walk with you?"

Adam raised an eyebrow. "Won’t people start talking?"

Sakura smirked, her confidence unwavering. "Don’t worry. I have plenty of excuses ready to squash any rumors."

Her remark caught Adam off guard, and he couldn’t help but laugh. He was starting to see why Sakura was such an effective leader.

As they walked, Sakura glanced at him. "I heard about the fight you got into last ti. What happened?"

Adam sighed, rembering the incident. "It wasn’t much. A student challenged to a bet—if I lost the 200-ter race, I’d have to do whatever he said."

Sakura raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Weren’t you nervous?"

Adam shook his head, a confident grin on his face. "Not at all. I was actually excited. I like challenges."

Sakura studied him for a mont. "You’re... unusual. Different from the other students."

Adam tilted his head. "Unusual? How so?"

Sakura shrugged, a mysterious smile playing on her lips. "Just an observation."

Before Adam could press further, they reached the sports ground. His friends were already gathered, discussing the day’s schedule.

Adam bid farewell to Sakura, who wished him luck one final ti. Her gaze lingered on him as he joined his friends, a thoughtful expression on her face.

Back with his group, Adam was greeted by Eric enthusiastically waving toward the stands.

Leo nudged Adam, smirking. "Eric’s family is here."

Adam followed Eric’s gaze to see a middle-aged couple and a young girl seated in the crowd. Eric bead with pride as he turned to his friends.

"This ti, I’m winning the most gas, and you’d better record everything!" he declared.

His father laughed, shouting back from the stands, "Don’t worry, son! I’ve got everything prepared. Just focus on your race!"

As the group laughed and chatted, Eric asked Adam, "Where are your parents?"

Adam hesitated, scanning the crowd. Before he could respond, a familiar voice called out, "Adam! We’re here!"

He turned to see his family seated right behind Eric’s, with Sona fluttering just above them.

Adam had told her to co to school with his parents, despite her initial reluctance.

Seeing them now, he felt a wave of warmth and reassurance.

He waved back, smiling. Ani, standing with her friends nearby, noticed the interaction. Her gaze moved from Adam to his parents, and she couldn’t help but think, So that’s his family... He really takes after his mother.

A small laugh escaped her lips. Monica nudged her, curious. "Why are you laughing?"

Ani shook her head. "It’s nothing."

But deep down, she was nervous—not just for her race, but for what Adam might think if she lost.
