The machine had been activated, and a faint green glow began seeping out from it. UV1’s smile widened as he watched the machine co to life.

His joy was evident, his face glowing with satisfaction. Behind him, the scientists in red suits were trembling with nervousness. They didn’t know how the machine would function, and their anxiety was palpable.

Across the hall, the crowd stood in rapt attention, filled with anticipation. They had waited years for this mont, and now, their eyes were glued to the device, eager to see what it would do.

The light emanating from the machine grew stronger, intensifying with every passing second. It was about to fire toward the golden figure before it.

On the ground, not far from the golden figure, Ani struggled against her restraints. She scread, her voice filled with desperation.

"No! Stop! You can’t do this!"

But her cries fell on deaf ears. UV1 didn’t even glance her way. The smile on his face only grew wider as the machine’s glow beca even more intense.

---

Then, as if ti itself had frozen, everything ca to a standstill. UV1 felt sothing strange—an unfamiliar sensation that sent chills down his spine. A deep, booming voice echoed from the hall’s entrance.

"You’ve gone too far....Stop this madness now."

The entire hall shook violently. The sound of the voice brought an unbearable pressure that filled the room.

All the glass panels shattered into countless shards, scattering across the floor. The white tiles cracked under the force, and many people in the hall struggled to breathe.

So dropped to their knees, clutching their chests as they gasped for air, their hearts pounding erratically.

UV1, standing near the machine, found his senses heightened, overwheld by fear. His instincts scread that his greatest nightmare was about to co true. The voice had triggered sothing primal within him.

Slowly, he turned his head toward the source of the voice—and froze. Standing at the entrance of the hall was none other than his greatest fear: Adam.

The scientists beside UV1 succumbed to the imnse pressure and collapsed onto the floor, unconscious.

Others in the hall followed, dropping one by one. Even the soldiers, clad in their protective suits and helts, couldn’t withstand the crushing weight.

Though they managed to remain conscious, they were forced to the ground, struggling to stay upright.

UV1, still near the machine, was frozen in place, his mind racing. He couldn’t tear his eyes away from Adam, who now stood at the entrance. For the first ti, UV1’s unshakable confidence wavered.

"L-Lord Adam..." he stamred, his voice trembling.

The pressure in the room grew even more intense. The crystals embedded in the machine began to crack under the strain.

The once-brilliant glow emanating from the machine dimd and eventually flickered out. Yet UV1 didn’t notice. His attention was entirely fixed on Adam, the creator he had long feared.

Adam’s eyes, burning with fury, locked onto UV1. For a mont, Adam’s gaze shifted to Ani, who lay on the floor, entangled in wires.

Her body was limp, the cables piercing her skin, drawing faint traces of blood. The sight seed to enrage Adam further.

Before UV1 could react, Adam disappeared from his spot near the entrance. UV1’s breath hitched.

He couldn’t summon the courage to look for Adam in the hall, too terrified to move. His gaze remained fixed on the spot where Adam had been standing.

Finally, he turned his head slightly, and his worst fear was confird. Adam now stood beside Ani, his posture rigid and his aura filled with nace.

UV1 couldn’t see Adam’s face, but his presence alone was enough to paralyze him with fear. Adam’s back was turned to UV1, but even without seeing his expression, it was clear that Adam was furious.

The tension in the air was palpable as Adam strode directly to Ani, his expression dark and foreboding. Ani, entangled in a mass of wires that snaked around her like living creatures, was barely conscious.

The cables glowed faintly, their grip tightening with an unnatural force, holding her captive as though alive.

Adam’s eyes burned with fury as he gazed at Ani’s pitiful state. The wires, seemingly imbued with the power of UV1’s authority, crept tighter around her body.

But as Adam approached, his presence alone caused the cables to tremble. Like frightened serpents, they recoiled, loosening their hold before slithering away into the shadows of the room.

Ani, freed at last, let out a soft gasp. She tried to rise, her limbs trembling, and her eyes welled with tears. "I... I’m sorry, Adam," she stamred, her voice barely above a whisper. "I couldn’t save Sona..."

Adam’s gaze shifted imdiately. His eyes, sharper than blades, followed Ani’s tearful glance to where Sona was suspended midair.

Bound by glowing cables, Sona’s unconscious body hung limply, her arms stretched unnaturally.

Her green robes were tattered and stained, golden blood dripping steadily from a large wound in her abdon.

Adam’s heart clenched at the sight. Her wings, once majestic and pristine, were mangled, feathers bent and broken.

The golden ichor pooled below her, a stark reminder of her dire state. Without hesitation, Adam disappeared from Ani’s side in an instant, his form vanishing in a blur.

When he reappeared, he stood directly before Sona, his figure casting a shadow over her diminutive form.

Barely the size of Adam’s fist, Sona’s fragile body seed almost lifeless. Adam’s sharp gaze scanned her injuries, noting the deep gash in her stomach, from which the golden blood continued to flow freely.

He clenched his fists, his mind racing. I must save her...

---

Adam took a deep breath, his thoughts focusing on a single possibility. A mory surfaced—he hadn’t yet used his connection ability for the day. It was his one chance to change the outco.

Summoning his system, Adam called upon it ntally. A vibrant purple window appeared before him, glowing faintly in the dim room. The words displayed on it were clear:

____________________________

Would you like to select your creation Tayo skill?

.....

____________________________

Adam’s finger hovered montarily before he confird the selection.

The system shimred, and a cascade of skills appeared, each radiating its own unique energy.

Adam ignored them all, focusing solely on the one he needed most: Gentle Touch.

He selected it with unwavering determination. The mont his choice was made, a surge of warmth coursed through him, radiating outward like an invisible wave.

At the far end of the hall, UV1, standing amidst his soldiers near the machine, felt the shift in Adam’s aura.

His face drained of color as he watched the transformation. Adam’s body seed to exude a heat so intense that it burned those nearby, causing the soldiers to stagger and shield themselves.

Yet UV1 didn’t move. His lips parted as if to speak, but no words ca out. His fear paralyzed him completely.

---

Adam opened his eyes, their glow now more intense than ever. With deliberate care, he raised his hand toward Sona.

The wires binding her snapped instantly, falling away as though they had been severed by an unseen force.

Sona’s tiny body fell toward the ground, but Adam was ready. He caught her gently in his arms, cradling her fragile form. As he held her close, he whispered softly, "Gentle Touch."

At his words, a golden light enveloped Sona, spreading from her wounds outward. The gash in her abdon began to close at an astonishing speed, the torn skin nding seamlessly.

The glow intensified, repairing her damaged wings and erasing every trace of injury.

Within monts, the transformation was complete. The golden blood stopped flowing, and Sona’s breathing steadied, though she remained unconscious. Adam gazed down at her, a mixture of relief and sorrow in his eyes.

"You did well, Sona," he murmured, his voice heavy with emotion. "But you could have called for ... or waited. You didn’t have to face this alone."

Adam’s words hung in the air, his tone laced with regret. Carefully, he adjusted Sona in his arms and turned back toward Ani.

Ani was still trembling, her tears falling freely. As Adam approached, she looked up at him, her expression filled with guilt and despair. Without a word, Adam reached out with his free hand and gently wiped the tears from her cheeks.

"You don’t need to worry anymore," he said softly. "I’m here now."

Ani nodded, her lips quivering as she tried to speak but couldn’t find the words. Instead, she extended her arms hesitantly.

Adam understood her unspoken request and carefully placed Sona into Ani’s waiting hands.

The mont was brief, but its weight was imnse. Adam turned away, his gaze shifting toward the far end of the room, where a brown-colored shield shimred faintly.

Within it, two figures were trapped—Pratham and Mikasa, both unconscious.

Adam’s sharp mind pieced it together. So this is what I sensed when I scanned the city... I should have realized they were trapped inside these capsules.

He began walking toward them, each step filled with purpose. But just as he closed the distance, a voice rang out from behind him.

"So... you’ve finally rembered us."

Adam stopped mid-stride. Slowly, he turned his head toward the source of the voice. UV1, trembling yet defiant, stood near the machine, his voice betraying his fear.
