Arkham, a Level 5 New Human, was not considered powerful among those at Jiuge; his confidence all ca from his cousin Adila, who, albeit being a fool, was exceedingly loyal to him. Yet, Arkham knew that any Level 5 New Human like himself could kill him.

Therefore, the place where Arkham lived was also where Adila lived; the two were inseparable. On one hand, they had a good relationship; on the other, Arkham had Adila act as his bodyguard for his own safety.

"It’s just ahead, don’t kill ."

In front of Ah Fu and his group, a frail man with pale complexion and his skin covered in sores was saying sothing to Ah Fu in gibberish.

"What does he an?" Ah Fu scratched his head, unable to understand the language of the Funan nation. He could only ask Zhao Lan, who acted as his translator here.

"He says Arkham’s place is just ahead, asking us not to kill him."

Ah Fu laughed sinisterly, not really taking it to heart, and directly said, "Wait till we find it, then I’ll finish you off."

Zhao Lan shook his head, not translating the threatening part of Ah Fu’s statent to the poor Jiuge soldier, who took Ah Fu’s word as a promise, joyfully leading Ah Fu and the others to a much busier area ahead.

The journey was peaceful. Even though they encountered many Jiuge high-rank officials, none of them interfered. Those here were all top-tier mbers of Jiuge affiliated with Arkham’s ZRZ Group, including their families. Most of the New Humans among them were Level 4 and Level 3. With Ah Fu’s reputation in Jiuge—a giant four ters tall, easily recognizable, one punch could severely injure a Level 6 New Human—how could these lower levels who weren’t even Level 5 stand a chance?

They could only watch him walk towards Arkham’s lair and internally mourn for him.

"A bunch of cowards!" Looking at those who dared not et his gaze, Ah Fu scoffed with derision, filled with mockery. The soldiers beside him hurriedly showered him with praise and sycophantic complints, making Ah Fu feel almost heavenly. The longer he mingled in human society with his boss, the more he found this race to be intriguing.

In the horde of zombies, evolution was not a specific goal; it was more like growth after reaching a certain stage. Zombies did not care much about their levels of evolution. For zombies, the most precious things were the succulent flesh and blood.

But in human society, Ah Fu had a clear feeling—having an aim was important, and that was to evolve!

It was no longer for his own view; it turned towards the public’s eye, making the weak fear and revere him.

Soon, under the lead of the Jiuge soldier, Ah Fu arrived at Arkham’s residence, situated slightly to the left of the center, a villa not large in scale but exquisitely decorated. The main color was white, accentuated with gold lines—giving off an aura of nobility at a glance. It seed that Arkham was indeed a man of taste.

The Jiuge soldier leading the way blurted out a few words to Ah Fu, and Zhao Lan quickly translated, "Vice President, Arkham lives here. Shall we go in?"

"Let’s go, get in."

Ah Fu waved his large hand and led his n forward. However, when they were a few hundred ters away from the villa, Ah Fu stopped abruptly, his brows furrowing. As a Level 6 zombie, he was extrely sensitive to the scent of blood. Even before entering, he detected a strong odor of blood!

And inside the villa, there were no signs of living people, only the dead.

Noticing sothing was off with Ah Fu, soone asked, "Vice President, what’s wrong?"

Ah Fu turned towards the Jiuge soldier, his eyes flashing with murderous intent, and said, "Are you sure Arkham is here?"

The soldier hesitated for a mont, and as soon as Ah Fu finished speaking, the Peace Party soldiers beside them had already aid their chilling laser weapons at him, making him tense up. He nervously said, "It’s...it’s right here, I...I didn’t lie to you! Please...please don’t!" The Jiuge soldier suddenly panicked, while Zhao Lan thodically translated his words to Ah Fu.

"You’d better not have lied to ." With a cold snort, Ah Fu suppressed the doubts in his heart, led his n directly to the entrance of the villa, and pushed open the half-closed door, where a burst of blood, much more intense than before, assaulted their noses.

What t their eyes was utter chaos, traces of laser weapon burns everywhere. The various household decorations were scattered all around, fragnts flung everywhere. Seeing this scene, everyone thought the sa thing.

A massive battle had taken place here!

If this was indeed Arkham’s residence, then Arkham must have been one party to the battle, but who was the other party—could it have been Shenluo Group?

During this invasion, the Peace Party hadn’t directly engaged in battle with the two major groups in Jiuge, focusing instead on dealing with Arkham’s ZRZ Group. Shenluo Group, knowing the tis, hadn’t intervened to stop the Peace Party, suggesting that the battle could also be the result of Shenluo Group’s opportunistic attack on ZRZ Group amid the Peace Party’s intense retaliation.

But that wasn’t the only possibility—there could have been a rebellion within ZRZ Group!

"What’s going on here?"

The Jiuge soldier seed stunned, obviously unprepared for the scene, his subconscious assuming that Arkham had been killed in the lifeless villa.

"Co on, let’s go inside and find out exactly what happened."

"Yes!"

At Ah Fu’s command, several Death Knights from the Peace Party nodded and dispersed. In no ti, they had turned up several corpses.

"Vice President, there’s a situation here."

"Here too!"

The soldiers pulled out the bodies, a total of seven corpses, and since Zhao Lan had spent such a long ti in ZRZ Group, he was able to accurately identify that these were ZRZ Group mbers, so the task of inspection naturally fell to him.

After a careful examination and identification, he said to Ah Fu, whose size was more imposing than a water buffalo, "Vice President, they’re all from ZRZ Group."

"No one else?"

"No," Zhao Lan shook his head.

Ah Fu stepped forward and pulled back the clothing on one of the seven corpses, which bore a tattoo of the nine-and-a-half wings. He didn’t actually know the difference between mbers of ZRZ Group and Shenluo Group; it was just a cursory glance.

"What about Arkham? And his cousin—I only want those two!"

Ah Fu seed sowhat agitated, his main target being Arkham’s cousin Adila. Now that he wasn’t here, Ah Fu was greatly annoyed. His eyes, fierce and deadly, turned to the Jiuge soldier, roaring, "You dare deceive !"

The Jiuge soldier, terrified, collapsed to the ground. But just as Ah Fu’s roar had subsided, the walkie-talkie crackled to life.

"Vice President, co up to the second floor. I’ve found Arkham."
