"Respected Vice President, rest assured, I am one of the designers of the do and I am intimately familiar with its structure." Facing Ah Fu’s question, Zhao Lan quickly replied. He had an instinctive fear of this giant. In the few months following Ah Fu, he often witnessed Ah Fu’s murderous thods.
Such cruelty was incomparable even to Akam. He even began to doubt whether Ah Fu was human at all. Moreover, as ti went by, he realized that Ah Fu seed to have so misunderstandings about humans.
"Fine, I’ll trust you, but if this fails, don’t expect to stay alive. I’ll feed you to them." As he spoke, Ah Fu licked his lips, and his palm, large enough to cover half of Zhao Lan’s body, pinched him.
Zhao Lan couldn’t help but shiver and thought to himself, "This person couldn’t possibly have those kinds of tendencies."
Ah Fu’s recent actions indeed frightened him.
"Vice President, please be assured, it will definitely be a success."
"How long will it take?"
"About an hour."
Ah Fu nodded and turned his head to the rear. With a wave of his big hand, one after another, the heavily armored Reaper tanks rolled in. Oddly enough, there were no long-range weapons mounted on the tanks. Instead, they were equipped with thick columns almost the size of water buckets, which to those in the know, were clearly battering rams.
"What is that? What is the Peace Party doing?" So residents in the city curiously stood up but were quickly scolded by the Peace Party and pressed back down with a hand squeezing their heads.
"Keep it together, squat down and stay put."
Hundreds of heavily armored Reaper tanks arrived from all directions, and in no ti, they surrounded the black hemispherical shelter at the center of the City of Drugs. Soon after, from each Reaper tank, a soldier erged and planted flags of red and green on designated parts of the tanks.
The pattern was simple: if a red flag was planted on the previous tank, the next one would carry a green flag, and then the sequence would continue with a red flag, and so on.
After a while, two sergeants finished their inspection and took up the walkie-talkie to report: "Group A is ready."
"Hmm, Group B is also ready, awaiting instructions."
Zhao Lan, who was nearby, pressed his earpiece, nodded, and looked toward Ah Fu. Ah Fu, also aware of what he needed to do, nodded and said, "Begin."
"Yes, respected Vice President."
"I must remind you again, if your thod fails, you know the consequences."
"Don’t worry." Zhao Lan nodded confidently, which reassured Ah Fu as well. His body trembled slightly; the black hemispherical shelter was Akam’s ZRZ Group’s last defense. It was indeed a good strategy, but it also blocked all of Akam’s retreat paths. Once the do was breached, there would be no escape for Akam!
However, for Ah Fu, Akam himself was not important. What he desired most was Akam’s cousin, a Level 6 New Human. Having beco a zombie for quite so ti, he hadn’t eaten a Level 6 creature yet, and since the opponent couldn’t beat him, becoming his dinner was inevitable.
"Heh heh," Ah Fu chuckled, causing Zhao Lan to look at him strangely as goosebumps involuntarily rose all over his body. Ah Fu’s laugh was truly chilling!
Fortunately, after realizing his lapse, Ah Fu quickly regained his composure, reverting to the cold-blooded devil he was.
Zhao Lan and the sergeants leading Groups A and B discussed so preparatory work. He then picked up a gaphone, cleared his throat twice, and began to issue orders.
"Gentlen, I am the commander of this operation. Whether we can break through the do depends on your cooperation. There are many important points I won’t go into detail, but you all know them, right? Red flags for Group A, green flags for Group B. Make sure to check and don’t get them mixed up."
"Received."
"Received."
"..."
"Alright, next, I’m starting the countdown. When I shout ’one,’ Group A charges, and of course, when I shout ’two,’ Group B begins the charge. Keep up with the rhythm."
"Roger that."
"..."
"Everyone in position, get ready, three! two, one!"
"One!" As Zhao Lan yelled "one," a loud "bang" erupted as the Death God tank, adorned with a red flag, fiercely fired its ram. The trendous impact jolted the top part of the do, which trembled slightly under the sudden violent collision, and Zhao Lan, noticing this, felt even more confident.
"Got it!" he secretly thought to himself.
After shouting "one," and after a half-second interval, Zhao Lan uttered "two," and the assault by Group B followed!
Bang!
"One!"
Bang!
"Two!"
Bang!
The numbers coming out of Zhao Lan’s mouth were rhythmic, and the rhythm of Group A and Group B’s Death God tanks hitting the do followed his voice. Although the do was highly defensive, it was designed to defend against a very specific type of attack. The half-do shape, while robust, was also brittle at certain angles.
The thod Zhao Lan used was based on a common physical principle, the resonance principle. Take a bridge, for example, when two people march back and forth on it in a fixed pattern, that bridge could very well collapse from the vibrations of their marching.
That was the thod Zhao Lan was using.
The rams of the two groups of Death God tanks thunderously slamd onto the sturdy do. As Zhao Lan’s voice counted, gradually the soldiers operating the tanks beca accustod to the rhythm, getting more proficient. Later impacts rged into one. It was as if a single Death God tank was hamring the do, and the sound was enormous, deafening.
The do above was also shaking continuously, the amplitude of the trembling growing larger. However, these weren’t the main issues, because the structure of the "do" enclosed everything inside. As Group A and Group B’s Death God tanks kept hamring, the noise from outside was propagated even further, so those outside could only complain about the loudness of the noise.
But for those inside the do, it was more than just loud. In the fully enclosed environnt, the impact sounds coming from the outside were like hundreds of needles rushing into one’s ears, threatening to shatter the eardrums. Most crucially, there were echoes. Those in the City of Drugs who were big nas were now holding their ears and wailing.
"Damn Peace Party, what are they doing?"
At that mont, they began to have so regrets. If the Peace Party continued like this, how could they live inside?
The noise made people dizzy, as if soone had placed hundreds of loudspeakers next to you with the volu turned to the maximum, continuously looping "Lost Rivers." It was simply insane!
"When will it end!"
"Ah! Ahhh! I can’t take it anymore!"
The people inside the do were screaming, frantically clawing at their bodies. However, the heavens didn’t intend to make them suffer too long. Half an hour later, as people were caught off guard, a large crack with a "crackling" noise suddenly appeared at the top of the do!
