Lv Jinyu stood up expressionlessly, lifting the flat box about twenty centiters in height from beneath him. He couldn’t for the life of him understand how such an obtrusive object could have appeared under him - he was certain there had been nothing on the couch when he had entered.
Certainly, when he had co in just monts ago, there had been nothing on the sofa.
He stared into Jin Ye’s eyes, which held a hint of an inscrutable smile; Lv Jinyu knew that the other was trying to intimidate him. It was also another way of saying, "Even though you are now a Level 6 New Human, there is still a gap between us!"
The aning behind this move was definitely so!
A tightness seized Lv Jinyu’s heart; the man before him was too frightening. If he was just an ordinary mber among the Level 6 New Humans, then Jin Ye would be one of the outstanding ones!
However, neither was an ordinary person, and very soon, Lv Jinyu’s face returned to its usual composure, as though the earlier incident had never happened.
He placed the box on the table and opened it to reveal a brand-new Predator Exoskeleton Battle Suit. Seeing the content inside, an excited smile spread across Lv Jinyu’s face. He had a rough idea of the battle suit’s defensive capabilities - once worn, it enormously enhanced one’s combat ability, even allowing weaker individuals to break the rules amongst New Humans. Twenty-so Level 4 New Humans could band together to hunt down a Level 6 New Human!
Such an effect was sothing everyone desired!
Including Lv Jinyu, who, despite having evolved to Level 6, did not feel secure upon learning of the existence of the Predator Exoskeleton Battle Suits. He could only rest easy if he possessed one of these suits himself!
His excitent at seeing the Predator Exoskeleton Battle Suit quickly passed, and after a short while, Lv Jinyu looked back at Jin Ye and said, "Brother Jin Ye, I certainly hope you don’t an to tell that this is the only suit?"
The smile on Jin Ye’s face remained unchanged as he replied, "Of course not. After this battle ends, every mber of the Three Seven Road who joins Golden Night will possess a suit of the exoskeleton battle armor."
Hearing this, Lv Jinyu breathed a sigh of relief. He had agreed to Jin Ye’s terms, and Jin Ye’s only condition was that every mber who joined Three Seven Road should be equipped with a set of Predator Exoskeleton Battle Suits.
"However..."
Very quickly, Jin Ye’s tone shifted and his eyes turned icy cold, "These are for mbers who join Golden Night’s Three Seven Road. We both understand the agreent, Brother Lv. As for those Three Seven Road mbers who refuse to join Golden Night, I hope you can..."
He stopped there, but Lv Jinyu was all too aware of the unspoken words that followed.
"Of course, I know. Those Three Seven Road mbers who refuse to join Golden Night - I will handle them personally!"
"Excellent. With these words from Lv Jinyu, I can be at ease."
"Hehe, starting today, Three Seven Road will cease to exist in this world, but at the sa ti, Golden Night will erge. Let us celebrate the birth of the next Peace Party – of course, we will do even better than the Peace Party!"
"Hahahaha..."
"Hehehahaha~"
After speaking, the two n began to laugh, but soon after, Lv Jinyu’s giggles ceased, and Jin Ye stopped as well. Lv Jinyu then asked, "But, Brother Jin Ye, do you think the Chairman of the rcenary Guild will agree to turn it into an underground force?"
With his words, the atmosphere around them beca solemn.
It wasn’t long before Jin Ye’s face showed a fierce killing intent, and he said ominously, "I don’t give a damn whether that old fool agrees or not, If he dares to obstruct , I’ll take him down along with the rest."
The murderousness in Jin Ye’s words even shook Lv Jinyu - this man was thoroughly ruthless!
Within the history of the United District’s rcenary Guild, much of its developnt could be attributed to Jin Ye’s efforts; one could say the rcenary Guild had practically beco a part of Jin Ye himself.
Human desires tend to grow with success, akin to a round boulder placed on a steep incline - not just anyone can get it moving, but once it starts rolling, stopping it becos incredibly difficult!
Jin Ye had poured so much into the rcenary Guild, rising from an unknown Bounty Hunter to one of the four top administrators of the Guild, and the strongest one at that. Now, Jin Ye’s ambition had swelled to hundreds, even thousands of tis greater than at the outset.
How could soone like him be willing to dissolve the rcenary Guild, without any hesitation, after taking down the Peace Party?
That simply wasn’t possible!
So, upon learning of Lv Jinyu’s evolution into a Level 6 New Human, he sought him out.
And the reason he sought him out was precisely the matter of the rcenary Guild; he couldn’t casually dissolve it - his ambitions wouldn’t allow it. He wanted to transform the rcenary Guild into his private underground force. However, as a public organization, the transformation into an underground force would inevitably face opposition from other powerhouses, potentially leading to a joint attack from all underground forces in the end!
But a chance discovery that Lv Jinyu was a Level 6 New Human led Jin Ye to consider that allying with such an individual might be a wise choice. Both n’s ambitions could be satisfied by the rcenary Guild’s transformation into Golden Night.
Indeed, Lv Jinyu couldn’t resist the temptation to beco a being above tens of thousands in the United District, a far more appealing prospect than sharing the spoils with other underground forces after taking down the rcenary Guild - and with greater dignity. Even if one’s actions weren’t honorable, the tis still favored the strong!
If you’re powerful enough, what can the weak underlings possibly say?
They can only submit obediently!
Thus, it was clear who would benefit and who would be at a disadvantage, and the choice was rather easy to make.
However, the subsequent steps would be troubleso. After this affair concluded and the rcenary Guild was renad Golden Night, fully transitioning into a private underground force, they would then have to take down the Peace Party; the other powerhouses of the United District would certainly move against Golden Night.
So, they had to strike first to avoid facing too many powerful foes later on; it was better to eliminate so of them now, reducing the pressure in the future. Therefore, nurous strong figures from other underground forces joined the attack on the Peace Party. Although so had not participated, if all of them were sent to hell, how much could the remaining forces shake Golden Night?
The initial plan was to strike at the other underground forces’ powerhouses once the Peace Party’s defeat was confird. However, now that the Peace Party had abandoned even their headquarters, the outco was obvious.
They could now make their move!
"However, I’ve heard that the Chairman of the rcenary Guild has ties with the Hidden Dragon Association; if we act like this, might it be a bit... rash?"
