At Qinshan Base, Wang Baihai, the only remaining Level 4 New Human, sensed that sothing was wrong and had already boarded a helicopter with a few soldiers, flying towards another province.
As he watched the Qinshan Base shrink in the distance, he breathed a sigh of relief, his eyes still filled with unshed fear.
"The Zombie King has co, damn, it’s terrifying!"
Recalling the colossal zombified dragon he saw at the Peace Party, fear washed over him. Had he not reacted early, he might have died horribly at the hands of the Zombie King, like the unfortunate generals in the United District.
The New Human soldiers he brought with him all looked at him with gratitude. They dared not confront the Zombie King, who was as formidable as a cultivator. Undeniably, fleeing was the only solution.
"Brother Wang, where are we going?"
A soldier in front asked. Wang Baihai thought for a mont, a shrewd look in his eyes, and said, "We should leave S Province first; we can’t stay here. Let’s go to D Province, the United District. Believe , with my Level 4 New Human abilities I can definitely rise in status there. Being a general there would be much more comfortable than being an official in Qinshan Base, perhaps I can even..."
Sothing seed to excite him, a spark lighting up his eyes.
But suddenly, there was a loud bang on the window, startling everyone on the helicopter.
"F*ck! What the hell is happening!"
The window shattered with a crisp sound, leaving everyone on board stunned.
"Go check it out."
Wang Baihai gave a puzzled wave of the hand. The soldier sitting next to him nodded and slowly approached the window. Bracing against the high-altitude wind pressure, he leaned out to look down, only to nearly be scared to death.
A figure was crawling up the ladder! No, that was not a human, humans don’t look like that. His face resembled a two-dinsional alligator, terrifying beyond belief! He was just about to scream that a monster was hiding below.
However, before he could utter a sound, he felt a tightening around his neck, making breathing difficult. When he realized what was happening, his neck was already wrapped by a tentacle!
"No!"
This soldier managed to let out a difficult cry before the tentacle yanked him off the helicopter. The remaining people on board were shocked.
"What is that!"
"Soone else has gotten onto our helicopter!"
"Damn it, is that a human? Didn’t you see the tentacles!"
"Shut up, all of you!" Wang Baihai’s angry roar echoed from behind. Then he pointed at two people and said, "Both of you, go check it out. Kill that thing!"
For so reason, a terrible premonition gripped Wang Baihai. It felt as though sothing was targeting him, and he felt extrely uneasy.
Watching two terrified soldiers approach the shattered window, Wang Baihai felt a chill run down his spine.
"Bloody ominous!" He cursed, hiding his uneasiness. Shortly after, the two soldiers arrived at the window, not daring to look down. They aid their Canghe-P90 at the ladder and fired randomly. The "ding-ding-dang-dang" sounds echoed as they imdiately withdrew their Canghe-P90, fearing their hands would be captured by the tentacle.
"You two are worthless!" Wang Baihai cursed again, after seeing the cowardly performance of the two soldiers.
But just as he finished his sentence, in a sudden "bang", the two soldiers were thrown out, harshly hitting the steel plate on the other side. They spat out a mouthful of fresh blood and died on the spot!
"F*ck!"
Wang Baihai was startled, quickly picking up the Canghe-P90 and aiming it at the helicopter, sweat pouring down his forehead - he hadn’t seen how the two soldiers were thrown out.
"Hehehe..."
A raspy and cold laughter ca from below.
"Who’s there!"
Wang Baihai roared. Then, a tentacle clung to the window ledge, and little by little, a figure climbed in. The two-dinsional alligator face was utterly terrifying - it was Chen Chaoyang who had turned into a creature after mutation!
"Ah!" Even though he had seen nurous ugly-looking zombie faces, Chen Chaoyang’s face still scared the hell out of him. As soon as Chen Chaoyang appeared, Wang Baihai began shooting the next second!
But the result was clear, the laser from the Canghe-P90 was completely blocked, and Chen Chaoyang was unhard.
"You put in such a terrible state! But ... I have to thank you. If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t be this powerful. I thank you! Hehehe..."
"You...who are you?"
"What? Don’t you rember ? You killed with your own hands! So quickly! You forgot about so quickly? Eh? But don’t worry, I’ll help you rember. To refresh your mory, I’ve prepared sothing special. Let’s take a look."
Chen Chaoyang exhibited a rolling pin, making a rolling gesture towards Wang Baihai.
Wang Baihai’s expression turned blank, then it quickly turned into disbelief as he dumbfoundedly watched Chen Chaoyang in front of him.
Suddenly, a soldier turned around and raised his Canghe-P90, aiming at Chen Chaoyang. However, the speed of the enemy far exceeded the soldier’s anticipation. As soon as he moved, he felt a sharp pain in his abdon.
Boom!
Crash!
A loud noise, accompanied by the sound of shattering glass, this soldier was thrown out of the helicopter, screaming horrifically in the sky.
"You... you are that Chen Chaoyang?"
Wang Baihai asked with uncertainty, but then his face turned ashen, as if he had seen a ghost. He yelled like a madman, "Impossible! Impossible!! You can’t still be alive! How is this possible?"
He clearly rembered that Chen Chaoyang’s head was crushed by a military vehicle, brain matter splattered everywhere. Indeed, New Humans would turn into zombies soon after death, but that was only possible if the brain tissue was intact!
Given the grueso way Chen Chaoyang had t his end, there was absolutely no way he could have turned into a zombie and co back to life!
So, Wang Baihai could only think that what he was seeing was the ghost of Chen Chaoyang. He couldn’t possibly be resurrected!
"Impossible? But I really ca back to life. And my power... it’s so great! I love it! Hehe!"
"You... don’t ss around! I’m warning you!"
Wang Baihai turned pale, slumped on the ground, backpedaling frantically while Chen Chaoyang advanced slowly with a sly grin.
"Aah!"
The pilot, who had a long reaction ti, just let out a scream after a long hesitance, which was soon cut off by Chen Chaoyang.
"Why are you yelling, just focus on flying the aircraft. As long as you cooperate, I won’t kill you, you’re still useful, hehe..."
"Uh... uh... really? Then... okay."
The soldier nodded dumbfoundedly, governing the helicopter as if nothing had happened behind him. Still, sweat dripped from his forehead, looking like he had been drenched in water.
