Go!
Tang Ye sends a ssage to Ah Fu who, upon receiving it, howls excitedly towards the heavens. Having been surrounded by the sll of flesh, it was already starved and eager! After howling, it leads hundreds of zombies to attack Wan Hanzhou’s minions!
For a mont, screams echo everywhere. Ah Fu rampages through the crowd, wildly slaughtering people. The spilled blood on the ground almost forms a small stream!
Tang Ye coldly retracts the bone spurs, leaving behind a skeleton of a corpse.
Yet Chen Chaoyang frowns tightly, turning his back, unable to bear witnessing the scene. He never intended to kill Wan Hanzhou and his n, he rely wanted to exact revenge, to just beat them up, he didn’t expect Tang Ye to start a slaughter!
He wanted to stop it, but seeing Tang Ye’s cold and crazed laughter, he becos a bit timid, hesitating to speak up!
Only until he sees everyone in Zhili College being torn apart by zombies does he regret asking Tang Ye to co and help him take revenge.
Within this apocalypse, the laws no longer exist, morality has hit its nadir, surrounded by an endless darkness. As people survive on the brink of despair and life or death, so have completely corrupted, but so still retain a tiny bottom line — these people often don’t live long, and Chen Chaoyang is one of them.
The sun is slowly setting, revealing only half of itself over the horizon, with blood-red rays of light filling half the sky! In the forr bustling city, no one sees the bright lights and glitz anymore. The asphalt roads have sprouted hints of greenery in their cracks.
The pedestrians who used to pass by hurriedly have turned into terrifying zombies. Not far away, there are patches of dark, dry bloodstains, and severely decomposed bones on the roadside, emitting a foul sll.
On the rooftops of rows of tall buildings, a black figure speeds by, and if one looks closely, they’ll see a person being carried by the black figure.
"Ouch, Zombie Big Brother, can’t you go a little slower? I can’t stand it, ugh~"
Chen Chaoyang, fully lifted by Tang Ye, is endlessly complaining. He hasn’t really paid attention to the fast-retreating scenery around him. The dull ache in his chest makes him want to vomit from ti to ti!
"Can we rest for a bit?"
Tang Ye ignores him, continuing his rapid advance. He wouldn’t be as gentle with Chen Chaoyang as he was with Ning Yu’er, letting her rest when she’s tired.
Seeing the road he had once co across being trodden once again, Tang Ye felt complex emotions surge within him; excitent and lancholy. He found himself getting closer and closer to Ning Yu’er, but he didn’t know if she would be waiting for him at the entrance to the safe zone...
That way, he could see her again.
"Bro, be a dear, I can’t stand it..."
Squeak!
Tang Ye suddenly stops, causing a smug smile to erge on Chen Chaoyang’s face. He quickly breaks free from Tang Ye, gasping for breath. He still feels a sting on his neck where his clothes had been choking him.
"Rest a bit... Huh? What’s happening?" Chen Chaoyang starts speaking to Tang Ye but then sees the puzzled look on his face.
Tang Ye points to the street down below. Chen Chaoyang takes a few steps forward to look down and gasps in surprise.
"What... What’s with all these zombies? What are they doing?"
He spots a crowd of zombies underneath, densely gathered together, fully occupying the street. As he gazes from afar, they appear to be writhing maggots!
However, it’s not the sheer quantity of zombies that confuses Tang Ye, but that the tidal wave of zombies extends far ahead, getting closer and closer to Lin City’s safe zone! If two days ago when Tang Ye took Ning Yu’er there, the horde was five or six kiloters away from the safe zone, now they’re only about two or three kiloters away!
He doesn’t know why these zombies are gathering together, but for the safe zone, this certainly can’t be good, especially since Ning Yu’er is still in it.
If the horde approaches the safe zone, even if the zombies stand still and let the soldiers in the safe zone shoot at them, there possibly won’t be enough bullets!
After thinking for a while, Tang Ye lifts Chen Chaoyang again and jumps to another tall building, running at the fastest speed. Every now and then, he looks down to locate the end of the zombie horde. anwhile, Chen Chaoyang keeps his eyes shut, afraid to look down. He’s terrified that a careless mont from Tang Ye would make them fall! And then they would be definitely dead!
He’s still young, he doesn’t want to die!
Swoosh~
Just as Tang Ye crosses a tall building, a strange sound suddenly rings out from the sky. They both look upwards and see a humanoid "aircraft" with two visible streams of air trailing behind it, flying towards the safe zone.
This humanoid "aircraft" is Ning Tianlang, who had been unsuccessful in finding his daughter at Honglin High School not too long ago. He has been monitoring the movent of the zombie horde from the sky. He needs to get back to the safe zone to evacuate the soldiers inside. However, thinking that his daughter might have turned into a zombie, that he may never see his only family mber again, unbidden tears well up in his eyes.
He recalls how he and his daughter used to live in a public rental flat of less than thirty square ters. Her gentle cries of ’Dad’ filled those days when he struggled to find a job, facing constant rejection. But every ti he thought of his daughter, he’d rally, not just for himself, but for his flesh and blood.
A tear drops from the corner of his eye. He wonders if there are miracles in this world. Even though he’s searched for his daughter in every place in Lin City where she could possibly be living and found no sign of her, Ning Tianlang still hopes that she is alive. If his daughter is already dead, then he would rather not find out for the rest of his life. After all, there is always a sliver of hope if her whereabouts are unknown. Without even a hope, why would he continue to hold on?
He had noticed the zombie horde moving towards the safe zone when he passed by earlier, but didn’t think much of it. Now, on his return, he’s also noticed that the horde is advancing towards the safe zone, which has made him more alert.
He’s debating whether to imdiately inform the soldiers in the safe zone to evacuate or to hide this secret and hold out for a few days, waiting for a miraculous discovery, hoping to see his daughter again!
Suddenly, he notices sothing strange on top of a big high-rise building below, it seems like a zombie is carrying a person. But he’s too lazy to care at the mont. Will he injure himself trying to help? Even if he does manage to pull off a rescue, it would be aningless, right?
Wasting these precious monts rescuing soone is not as important as rushing back to the safe zone to instruct the soldiers to evacuate!
By this point, the question of whether to wait for his daughter or not already has an answer in his heart. He knows he can’t put others’ lives at risk for his daughter, whose status is unknown. That would simply be selfish!
As he watches Ning Tianlang, outfitted in armour, disappear into the distance in a flash, Tang Ye squints his eyes. He feels like he’s seen that armour before.
Is that the sa guy?
He’s very familiar with the tubing filled with flowing fluids on Ning Tianlang’s armour. The sight of one man killing thousands of zombies is certainly impressive, at least enough for Tang Ye to rember it!
