Boom!

Once the zombie was sure the girl was secured, it dropped, landing solidly on the ground. Its powerful force created multiple cracks in the concrete it had landed on!

The man standing on the rooftop, looked through his mask at the Level 5 zombie. It was holding a girl on its shoulder, pushing through layers of zombies and disappearing into the darkness. His gaze then moved to Helicopter No. 063, which was descending rapidly.

The girl he had seen upon waking was a Level 5 New Human, possessing an extraordinarily desirable ability - she could effortlessly control zombies. Or, to put it differently, she was accepted by all zombies as one of their own!

After his body had been shattered to death and then reborn, he had beco a monster - neither human nor ghost. With his amber-colored eyes, he road the darkness as the comforter of death - Chen Chaoyang.

Now, he wore a mask which seed to be composed of the skin of countless faces, looking terrifying. His amber eyes glowed faintly in the darkness.

The Chen Chaoyang who was reborn after death, shared a common and powerful ability with the girl, the ability to control zombies at will. Just like a high-level zombie’s dominance. But unlike the girl, who proclaid herself the "Child of Zombies", her control, Chen’s control and even Tang Ye’s control vastly differed from the ntal control exerted by all high-level zombies.

While high-level zombies forcibly manipulate low-level zombies, her thod required no ntal effort but operated on another level entirely. Zombies seed to comprehend her words and willingly do anything for her.

Moreover, it was odd that zombies, typically ferocious, not only refrained from attacking her, but their bloodthirsty white eyes even seed to emit gentleness.

Gentleness in the eyes of zombies? How unbelievable was that?

Chen Chaoyang couldn’t understand this woman. He could only quietly watch her retreat into the shadows and speculate about her origins.

...

The mont Helicopter No. 063 was about to crash into the ground, the fuselage suddenly jerked. The pilot didn’t even have ti to wipe the sweat from his brow. With a bang, Dai Changhao and Little Wu nearly fell over on the deck.

"We’ve landed!"

The helicopter plowed into a horde of zombies, running them over. The sounds of bursting flesh under the helicopter’s weight echoed constantly, causing hearts to churn.

Simultaneously, hordes of zombies leapt, wildly attacking the landing helicopter, climbing onto it and hamring at the windows. Roars filled the air. In no ti at all, the windows were sared with pus and blood - decaying faces appeared and disappeared, chilling your heart.

The helicopter’s tal fra scraped against the concrete, making a sizzling sound. As the fuselage jerked, it ca to an abrupt halt. Several zombies were thrown off! The three people inside were thrown off balance by the sudden stop, ending up disoriented. By the ti they recovered, the helicopter had stopped in the middle of the road, surrounded by zombies from all sides.

Ignoring their pain, Dai Changhao and Little Wu kicked open the helicopter door the mont the aircraft stopped and imdiately ran towards a tall building, after knocking away a few zombies with punches and kicks!

Lin Qiangguang, observing this scene from his transport aircraft, his eyes cold with fury, roared, "Everyone, land! Capture the criminals alive at all costs!"

Upon hearing this order, all the soldiers, whether from the United District or the Qinshan Base, were shocked to the core. The goosebumps on their necks stood on end as they looked at the dense horde of zombies on the dark streets of Hua City.

"F*ck, his son dies and he wants us to die too!"

Everyone ntally cursed at the sa ti, but no one dared to disobey Lin Qiangguang’s orders. After a mont’s hesitation, helicopters started to land one after another.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Imdiately, Qinshan Base soldiers and United District troops wearing exoskeleton armor began disembarking from the transport and helicopters. They launched an attack on the zombies imdiately!

Countless zombies noticed them, and diverted their attention from Dai Changhao and Little Wu to charge at them, roaring all the while!

However, there were too many soldiers here. Under the strong attack of the deadly Gejin-114 and constant blasts from other laser weapons, the incoming zombies fell like wheat under a scythe.

"Hurry!" Lin Qiangguang ordered again through his walkie-talkie. Although his actions seed irrational, he retained control of his judgnts. Capturing soone amid a zombie horde was incredibly dangerous. Only the United District would dare to send their elite troops into such situations unless absolutely necessary, since rarely any base would deliberately deploy troops to clear out zombies.

Capturing Dai Changhao and Little Wu had to be done quickly. If they took too long, more zombies would keep converging, multiplying endlessly. They might even encounter a high-level zombie — that would complicate matters considerably.

Upon his command, the soldiers began to advance, pushing towards Dai Changhao and Little Wu.

"F*ck! This guy’s crazy!"

Watching the soldiers’ actions, Dai Changhao cursed, quickly leading Little Wu into a building. Just as they entered, they froze. In the darkness, a large shadow erged.

Roar!

With a roar, a Level 3 zombie charged at them. Dai Changhao turned and ran without a thought. He could deal with a Level 3 zombie, but under these circumstances, even killing one Level 3 zombie would take ti. And during that ti, the zombie horde behind them could easily overwhelm them!

The soldiers saw Dai Changhao and Little Wu quickly exiting the building they only just entered. They hesitated briefly but continued their advance. But then a roaring Level 3 zombie erged from behind Dai Changhao and Little Wu. Upon sighting a larger crowd on the other side, it let out another furious roar and lunged at the soldiers!

"We have a Level 3 zombie. Focus fire!"

Instantly, the sergeant began coordinating. The Level 3 zombie hadn’t run far before its upper body exploded like a waterlon, scattering flesh and blood all around!

At this ti, Lin Qiangguang stepped out from the transport. His eyes fixed on Dai Changhao and Little Wu from the beginning, never wavering. In his eyes were only hatred and an indescribable murderous intent.

An exoskeleton combat armor rapidly covered his body. He silently put on the full-face battle helt marked with six red bars. His aura intensified, and his blood boiled.

"Don’t you dare run!"

Lin Qiangguang roared the words. With a "bang", a gust of wind stirred up the dust, and his body disappeared, chasing after the pair at high speed!

"Shit!"

Dai Changhao’s face drained of color. At that mont, a zombie suddenly jumped on him. Although he managed to throw it off, another one was already lunging at him from behind. Just as he crushed that zombie, a Level 2 Speed Zombie appeared like a phantom, pushing Little Wu back several steps!
