"My son is dead!"
Lin Qiangguang snatched the phone out of Li Songhua’s hand, roaring with murderous intent almost seeping through the ethernet cable. There was silence on the other end, followed by a trembling voice recounting the earlier events.
The managent of Floating Flower Park were evidently unprepared for Lin Qiangguang’s presence beside Li Songhua; they were utterly shocked and terrified!
After a brief conversation, Lin Qiangguang furiously threw the phone down in front of Li Songhua, coldly glancing at him before rushing out of the door.
"Don’t worry, I will issue a warrant of arrest imdiately. We will catch the murderer who killed Lin Shao!"
Li Songhua called out from behind, but Lin Qiangguang didn’t respond, his figure receding into the distance before disappearing completely.
Once he was out of sight, Li Songhua clenched his fist and slamd it into the back of a chair, his face stormy.
"Damn it! Always causing trouble for ! Damn it!"
Thump! Thump! Crash!
Li Songhua vented his rage on the things around him. He felt wronged, as though the entire world was conspiring against him.
"Die! All of you die! Once I beco powerful, I’ll kill all of you! Ah! Damn it!"
Recalling Lin Qiangguang’s nacing gaze, Li Songhua flew into another fit of rage. His mouth foaming with saliva, it was a disgusting sight. Mumbling incoherently, his whispers were like those of a demon.
The room was a ss from his rampage. After a while of destroying things, Li Songhua picked up the shattered phone and issued the arrest warrant. He then walked out the door, heading towards the local governnt building.
That seed to be the only place that could provide him with a bit of peace.
But when he entered his own room in the basent, which resembled a raw and simple hallway, and took sight of what was before him, the Comprehensive Managent Area reverberated with Li Songhua’s heart-wrenching roar from quite a distance!
"Soone entered my room! I’ll kill you!"
After Li Songhua’s entry into his "emotion room," all soldiers engaged in cleaning up the ruins almost simultaneously received a ssage. The son of the Plu Legion Commander from United District was brutally murdered, an untily death. All soldiers were mobilized at this mont.
"Tonight at 8:34, the brutal thugs ruthlessly killed the son of the Plu Legion Commander from United District at the Floating Flower Park military dormitory. We should have treated our brothers who co from afar with hospitality. Such atrocious acts of murder against our guests are outrageous. As hosts, how could we, the Qinshan Base, tolerate such despicable acts?"
"The brutal criminal must be apprehended with all our might and resources, to seek justice for our distant guest. Beginning now, we issue an ergency mission. All units should strategically dispatch combat units to guard all the entrances and exits of the Comprehensive Managent Area. The murderer’s identity is unknown, ticulous investigation in the surroundings of Floating Flower Park is mandatory. Any suspicious or unfamiliar individuals should be arrested imdiately! The one successful in capturing the murderer shall be rewarded with 500 Yajins!"
"What the hell, just when we could take it easy for a while, sothing else happens!"
"Exactly, so what if a kid died? Just have another one. These guys from the United District, acting like they are a big deal."
"Pain in the ass!"
"Alright, alright, put down the work on hand, let’s head to the nearest entry and exit points."
"Ah..."
All at once, all the soldiers at Qinshan Base let out cries of mourn. Ever since Ah Fu had revealed his true identitiy as a Level 6 zombie, causing extensive destruction of the Comprehensive Managent Area, the soldiers found a blatantly acceptable way to shirk work, not having to perform boring rounds every day.
Now with the death of a ’rich kid’ from United District, they have to get busy again. The soldiers serving in the Qinshan Base cursed at the dead, generation after generation of his ancestors.
All the soldiers at the Qinshan Base were posted at various entrances and exits in the Comprehensive Managent Area. At the sa ti, Dai Changhao and his two accomplices, who were on the run, slowed down their pace and leisurely strolled down the street.
"Go, let’s head back."
"And go back?"
"How else are we supposed to explain ourselves to the chairman?"
"But..."
"Don’t worry, nobody knows it was us who did it."
Dai Changhao spoke quietly and the other two didn’t object any further. They turned on their heel and began to walk back toward Floating Flower Park.
But as they got closer to Floating Flower Park, they noticed unusual bustle up ahead. Soldiers from the Qinshan Base were running in their direction. Seeing them, Dai and his friends were puzzled but didn’t think much of it, casually stood out in front of Floating Flower Park, or simply brushed past them.
Inside, the United District soldiers began to muster and split up into groups for so unknown reason, fully equipped and ready to go.
"This..." The three shared a glance, faces grave.
It seems that this Lin Shao is not a simple character!
"The Commander is here!"
There was a commotion up front, and the soldiers of Qinshan Base made way. A man in a coat radiating an icy intent strode forward, his face grim.
When he saw his son’s corpse prominently propped up in the park, he let out a roar.
"My son!"
The man’s features were those of determination, but even he couldn’t hold back his tears when he ca face-to-face with his son’s body. His rage seed to fuel him, and more United District soldiers were killed under his wrath while he cursed their actions. His berserker aura made those around afraid to approach.
"Get out there! Turn everything upside-down until you find the bastard who killed my son!"
Lin Qiangguang, holding his son’s body, erupted in a series of furious roars. His unprecedented aura of dominance prevented anyone from making eye contact with him.
Qinshan Base soldiers outside watched their peers. This spectacle invigorated them much to their relief. Ever since these people from United District arrived, they ordered the Qinshan Base personnel around as if they were their own entourage and even brutalized and murdered so who inadvertently offended them.
The demise of Lin Shao did not bring them any grief; in fact, they were rather delighted. But in the face of Lin Qiangguang, the powerful presence around him, they didn’t dare to show any emotions, fearful of being caught in his anger.
A few minutes later, the soldiers of Qinshan Base seed to have thought of sothing and began dispersing, starting a patrol around Floating Flower Park when Plu Legion, the soldiers from United District, initiated a thorough search of the Comprehensive Managent Area.
This posture, it looked like they won’t rest until they find the killer.
"Let’s leave, too," Dai Changhao told Little Wu and the other man. Nevertheless, his heart pounded in trepidation.
The feeling of being the unidentified murderer, standing right in front of the victim’s family was too exhilarating. But this commander of the Plu Legion was not a simple character. With an army of powerful fighters at his disposal, the mont they discover he and his two companions are the murderers, it would be the end for them — not even a Level 5 New Human could escape death!
