As a sound emanated from the outside, a butt squeezed through the door, which was previously only large enough for one person. No, it was a spider’s butt! It had a big round belly adorned with disgusting purple, red and green interwoven patterns.
With this creature’s lower half squeezing in, a three-ter-long fat spider crawled in upside down. Its head covered with a black cloth, the voice was hoarse, and it was hard to tell whether it was male or female; it had both masculine and feminine qualities.
Its segnted limbs moved as it addressed the young girl sitting by the window. "I’m back, and I brought you so delicious food...gaga gaga jakky jakky~"
The spider tore open its belly, and a pile of food covered in disgusting sli fell out. Seeing this, the girl’s throat roiled, nearly causing her to vomit the food she had consud a week ago.
"Co on, eat up, my lovely princess. You are the most beautiful in the world ~"
Its voice had an unsettling fondness for the girl – a fondness not born from emotion, but possessiveness towards an object.
The girl, trying to suppress her revulsion, briefly glanced out the window. The dragon that used to soar through the sky was nowhere to be seen, and her eyes had lost their light.
"Huh? My princess, why aren’t you eating? Eat, eat!"
The spider crawled to the girl, lifting the black cloth to reveal a face as withered and wrinkled as a chrysanthemum. The girl didn’t say anything but lowered her head to look at the face as if it were rely air.
"Eat."
The spider picked up a sausage with its limbs, ready to tear it open, when it inadvertently saw a blood mark on the girl’s fair wrist.
At that, its expression instantly changed. From being "gentle and kind" a mont ago, it transford into a fierce and vicious creature within a second.
"You ... you ... you! You’re injured? No! My princess! You are perfect, you belong to , everything about you belongs to ! My lovely princess, ah! You’re hurt!"
Seeing her wound, the spider went berserk, its front legs twitching and swaying as if electrocuted. The girl didn’t know if she had been scared silly, she just sat there, stunned.
Until the monstrosity of a spider cruelly struck her.
Smack!
The sound of the resounding slap echoed through the air, and with a "boom," the pink stool collapsed onto the ground, the girl on it lay motionless, like a corpse!
"You dare to get hurt? Speak! Did you do this on purpose? Growl!"
With its ghostly white hands, the spider frantically smacked the girl lying on the ground, roaring and revealing its hollow, toothless mouth.
Following a wave of exhaustion, it stopped, standing there in a daze.
"No, no, no, it was my mistake, princess... my princess, I shouldn’t have done that. Does it hurt? Please, don’t feel the pain; you are the loveliest girl in the world."
Throughout this process, the spider creature seed to be having a fit of madness, at one mont violent and the next gentle, wanting to torture the girl, yet reluctant to do serious harm.
The girl lay on the ground, her weakly contracting abdon signifying her consciousness. Her dull eyes were either staring at the sky or intensely fixed on sothing...

"Descend."
A massive undead dragon broke through the clouds above, settling amidst a deserted forest. Tang Ye pulled Niu Xiaosan down from the dragon as it burrowed back into the ground. anwhile, he scanned their surroundings.
"We should be close now."
"We should... be, right?"
Niu Xiaosan responded uncertainly.
"Sir, let’s keep going. Once we’re on the main road, I’ll know where to go."
"Let’s move."
Without further deliberation, Tang Ye rushed out of the forest with Niu Xiaosan. Although he had no idea how far they were from the nearest highway, his speed made the distance largely inconsequential. In just minutes, they found a highway.
"Alright, Sir, I know where to go from here."
Niu Xiaosan’s eyes glead as he jumped down from the roadbed, only to be stunned at the sight before him. The road was lined with decaying corpses, countless pitch-black motorcycles littered the street, and severed limbs were scattered everywhere. It seed like a massive war had taken place.
Before he could even react, the corpses began to stir, slowly standing up.
"Help, Sir!"
"Stop yelling!"
Tang Ye yelled, leaping down. He didn’t care about the zombies; the highest among them was rely a Level 2 zombie. However, the countless discarded motorcycles were a bit thought-provoking.
The zombies lying around only moved when Niu Xiaosan ca down, but once Tang Ye landed, they began pacing around, as if they couldn’t see Niu Xiaosan.
Upon observing several zombies, Tang Ye finally understood. These zombies weren’t infected; it was likely that a conflict had erupted within the biker gang, leading to casualties who were left to decompose in the wilderness, turning into zombies. Even the living bodies of this gang contained trace amounts of life-negating substances. While they were alive, their cells curtailed the substances, preventing them from turning into zombies. So might even evolve into New Humans.
On dying, the body’s cells comnced decomposition, allowing the life-negating substances to wreak havoc and transform the dead into zombies. The non-infected dead who were near the infected corpses likely beca contaminated subsequently.
From the zombies’ decaying flesh, one could easily deduce their history. Moreover, the zombies in cities who’d been infected for a long ti but didn’t have a food source had their muscular fibres significantly atrophied.
On the surface, they seed like black skeletons, except for a bit of flesh on their heads and their bodies reduced to skin and bones.
"Let’s go."
"Okay."
Niu Xiaosan found a motorcycle in less damaged condition. After testing it and finding it usable, he led the way for Tang Ye and bolted towards their destination.
"How far is it from here?"
"Approximately... less than two kiloters. It’s in a small village."
Niu Xiaosan drove the bike into a rural trail. The shocking part was that nurous bodies lined the trail on both sides of the road. When they approached, the corpses stood up without exception.
Though they rely startled the zombies due to Tang Ye’s presence, the motorcycle wheels squished several corpses every now and then, spraying out black-yellowish, rotten-blooded flesh.
Splat! Splat!
"Drive slower, damn you!"
Tang Ye wiped off the pus and blood from his face, shouting in absolute annoyance. Niu Xiaosan couldn’t retort and wiped a tear, and the sticky blood and pus on his face, with his hand.
"Who are you guys?"
An unfamiliar male voice echoed from above just as they turned a corner.
