Tang Ye, glimpsing through the thick dark fog, noticed sothing different about Su Sigui’s sword sheath. His first question was, "What is that?"
However, he quickly sensed sothing.
That looked exactly like the traces left on iron when it’s heated until red hot!
"This guy!"
Tang Ye was horrified. anwhile, the fighters on top quickly got to their feet, their eyes on Su Sigui, filled with an ominous look.
They could naturally guess, if their sword sheath exhibited signs of being heated until it glowed red, it must have been caused by a violent friction between the sword’s blade and the sheath when Su Sigui unsheathed his weapon!
Could soone possessing a Level 6 New Human’s power accomplish that?
Tang Ye was unsure. Whether it was from a Level 6 zombie or a Level 6 New Human, the power they possess could be considered a small-scale catastrophe, but to generate a temperature of several thousand degrees from the friction between the sword and its sheath, it required skill!
It’s not like as if a Level 6 New Human could casually generate a thousand-degree temperature by just unsheathing their sword from the sheath.
Though Tang Ye was uncertain whether he could do it, he sure could try. Besides, his power is not just restricted to the Zombie King below, he has another half in his main body.
Comforting himself, Tang Ye felt sowhat relieved. But the next second, a scene that horrified him even more unfolded!
Finally, Su Sigui’s sword was unsheathed. The mont the tip of the sword was out, the wild airflow rapidly contracted, as if the blade of her sword had a vacuum cleaner-like property that sucked up the surrounding airflow.
The space around her even seed to impart a distorted perception as the gush of air congregated in large quantities on the blade in a dark red glow, emitting a hot aura!
"Charge!"
All her intent focused on her single strike, slashing fiercely out!
The air flow receding back onto the blade suddenly expanded outward, as a long stream of air violently rushed from both sides; forming a "V"-shaped storm!
Or perhaps, it wasn’t a storm, rather an expression of her ultimate control over her power... the sword aura!
It really was the sword aura, Tang Ye lacked words to describe his feelings.
What the actual f*ck!
Is this a joke?
If Tang Ye could still replicate the trick Su Sigui had just demonstrated of generating high temperature by causing friction between the sword and the sheath, then learning this move would probably take him two to three years!
That was a battle technique, a technique that couldn’t be taught or learned, but one that could only be acquired through nurous battles and encounters.
At this mont, the way Tang Ye looked at Su Sigui changed. Initially, he didn’t take her seriously, but now, he saw her in a new light.
And to his surprise, he found that Su Sigui exuded a murderous aura that he couldn’t match!
That sort of murderous aura seeping deep into the bones of humans and zombies alike, was like the biting cold of March!
That wasn’t a murderous aura that could be developed from killing hundreds or thousands of people. That had to be ford through countless struggles and beatings!
"What has she been through?"
Tang Ye wanted to know what this woman did before, how could such a character appear within less than four years of the apocalypse?
Even assassins who earned money by killing people couldn’t have such a murderous aura in a peaceful society.
No matter how many people an assassin kills, it wouldn’t be any different from the number of people Tang Ye had killed.
At this ti, everyone who had killed had it; this so-called murderous aura was simply a display in the eyes. As the saying goes, the eyes are the window to the soul. Hence, if you want to kill a person, the eyes cannot conceal it.
But like Su Sigui, killing had beco as simple as breathing for her. It sounded casual, but that’s how it was. From her, Tang Ye saw her indifference towards life. However, contradictorily, he also saw so sense of responsibility in her.
This responsibility made Su Sigui consider the bigger picture when killing, as if her killing was, in fact, saving more people.
But when such responsibility and her indifference towards life overlapped, it was hard for people to understand.
She was able to perfectly harmonize two opposing "attributes", forming a unique and beautiful paradox.
So Tang Ye was very curious, where did she co from? This is not what you’d expect in a ti of peace!
Neither three to four years of ti could break a man’s worldview ford over decades, even becoming a zombie did not entirely corrupt Tang Ye under the pull of his zombie nature, let alone a living person?
Su Sigui was clearly from an environnt that was always grim and dark!
To put it simply, in a peaceful ti, eating is just eating, very simple. But in a dark environnt, killing is as simple as eating, so over ti, that murderous aura is no longer an aura, it needs to be described by another word.
Like a murderous instinct, but not a murderous instinct!
While thinking, Tang Ye suddenly rembered two people. They were Old Wang, whom he t on the day of the fall of Yindan Base, and then Changjue whom he encountered under the giant tree!
Both of them had told him different things, but they conveyed similar anings.
"If you want to beco a strong being, strength cos next, state-of-mind is key. Only if your mind is strong can you truly beco a strong being. If you only have strength but lack the state-of-mind, it will only lead to your loss of self..."
"Everything has a spirit, humans possess strength, so do beasts, and so does each and every plant. This force has an interior and an exterior, and naturally, parts are strong and weak. But the interior is strong, the exterior is weak. You are very strong, but your strength is superficial. Your inner self is fragile, your heart does not match the strength you possess ..."
The sword aura released by Su Sigui’s slash collided with the black fog; the aura was formless while the fog was tangible, yet also light.
When the two ca into contact, the thick dark fog was split by the sword qi, charging straight towards the Zombie King Tang Ye hidden behind the black fog!
Zombie King Tang Ye moved to the side, expressionless. Where the qi passed, dust arose.
Bang!
The sword qi missed Tang Ye and hit the wall of a tall building behind him, making a muffled noise. Subsequently, a wild wind blew up a storm of dust, which concealed the wall, making the damage caused by the sword qi unobservable.
Once the dust cleared, Zombie King Tang Ye saw that the wall had been cleaved by the blade qi, creating a ravine that was twenty-tres long and five to six centiters deep!
The wall above had collapsed, a pitiful sight to behold.
"Strong-willed?"
On top of the tall building, Human Tang Ye was as if in a trance, continuously muttering these two words while looking at Su Sigui below.
The Sword Qi launched by Su Sigui made a spark flicker in Tang Ye’s heart. But no matter how much he tried, he couldn’t find or grasp it; it was just dimly floating around in his heart like a mudfish swimming randomly, which made Tang Ye very uncomfortable and frustrated!
Influenced by his main body, Zombie King Tang Ye below beca sowhat sluggish, leaving behind only the zombie’s instinctive actions and the most basic thoughts of Tang Ye.
After the qi had passed, Zombie King Tang Ye’s one hand turned into six and extended into the black fog, reaching out towards Su Sigui based on his senses!
The sword was unsheathed, and so was the magic weapon. The red glow on the back of the sword hadn’t faded, and as it spun in her hand, it once again confronted Zombie King Tang Ye’s six arms!
Crack! Crack!
Her sword and magic weapon were like a violent rain, ripping through Tang Ye’s arm and then transforming into a lightning bolt to charge forward!
Once they entered the range of the black fog, she switched directions and surprisingly attacked the other Zombie King Tang Ye!
