Seeing that Ah Fu had gulped one down in a few bites, Tang Ye grabbed another egg and stuffed it into Ah Fu’s mouth. Before Ah Fu could even swallow it, Tang Ye roughly cramd another into Ah Fu’s mouth!
"Eat faster!"
Tang Ye urged, with one hand grabbing another egg and frantically stuffing it into Ah Fu’s mouth!
It seed that the haste was too much, and Ah Fu couldn’t cope with the increasing amount of eggs being force-fed to him. So yolk spilled out of Ah Fu’s mouth, to which Tang Ye lanted it as wasteful but didn’t relent in his efforts to feed more.
In the face of Tang Ye’s roughness, Ah Fu wasn’t angry. Instead, it beca even more excited, its large mouth opening exceptionally wide, enough to see almost half of Tang Ye’s body!
For a while, the viscous yolk floated around them. The scene was rather nauseating, yet Tang Ye didn’t mind. His eyes were filled with curiosity—curious as to what Ah Fu would look like after it evolved to Level 4.
So there they were, two zombies—one furiously feeding, the other hungrily eating. It wasn’t long before almost half of the dragon eggs were gone.
Tang Ye shoved the last two large dragon eggs into Ah Fu’s mouth. As he prepared to bend over to pick more, he sensed that sothing was off about Ah Fu.
A glint flashed in his eyes, and Tang Ye refrained from grabbing more eggs. Instead, he reached out to touch Ah Fu. Upon feeling its heat, he realised that Ah Fu’s body had started to warm!
Recognising this, Tang Ye imdiately knew what was happening. Looking at the remaining eggs, he grabbed another two eggs and stuffed them into Ah Fu’s mouth before pulling him towards the surface of the water.
Since it was about to evolve, feeding a few extra eggs wouldn’t hurt.
However, Tang Ye certainly wouldn’t let Ah Fu undergo its evolution here. This place was obviously the lair of the pseudo-dragon. If the pseudo-dragon returned while Ah Fu was evolving, a fight with Tang Ye could end up harming Ah Fu.
Tang Ye would never mistreat such a loyal subordinate.
Dragging Ah Fu out of the lake, Tang Ye spread his wings on his back. Holding onto Ah Fu with one hand, he flapped his wings and with a surge of enormous power managed to lift Ah Fu, who was three tis his size, into the air and flew to a remote land.
As soon as he landed, he put down Ah Fu. Ah Fu, who was still conscious, growled at him before its eyes rolled back into its head, and it collapsed on the ground, fainting.
Seeing it fall to the ground, Tang Ye’s interest piqued even further. Staring intently, he wanted to observe Ah Fu’s entire evolution from Level 3 to Level 4. However, to his disappointnt, despite over ten minutes passing, there seed to be no change to Ah Fu’s body.
Tutting discontentedly, Tang Ye wasn’t fazed. He knew that each evolution required a considerable amount of ti. The changes wouldn’t appear instantaneously.
Finding a rock nearby to sit, Tang Ye played the role of Ah Fu’s guardian. However, as ti passed, he grew restless. He recovered his clothes and pulled out a pack of cigarettes.
Ever since he tried smoking, Tang Ye had fallen in love with it. Becoming a zombie was a boring experience, as he lost many of the senses that humans possessed: the sensation of pain, emotions. Many things no longer elicited the sa reactions from Tang Ye as they used to.
He missed the feeling of being human. Now, Tang Ye felt there was sothing missing, which left him anxious.
He longed for pleasure, but he wasn’t sure how to describe it and could only compare it with other experiences.
For example, he could eat when he felt hungry or watch a funny skit when he was bored, or listen to a sad song when he felt low....
Now, Tang Ye couldn’t feel his own emotions. It was as if they had been robbed from him. He couldn’t feel his own heartbeat or any hormonal changes.
It seed as if all the emotions were erased at once, only leaving behind bloodlust and anger!
And that twisted psyche!
This annoyed him, and the only thing that seed to change his mood was the cigarettes. Apart from making Tang Ye feel a bit uncomfortable, there weren’t many other feelings left.
Nevertheless, he liked this dazed feeling.
He lit a cigarette, inhaled deeply, the smoke filtered through the mouthpiece, slid down his decaying trachea, flowed into his withered lungs, and then he exhaled it.
The thick smoke dispersed around him. Tang Ye squinted his eyes, his head swaying involuntarily.
Strangely enough, the cigarettes didn’t taste good. They had no apparent use for Tang Ye. While he heard they could lift spirits, he didn’t seem to have any worries. However, having one to kill ti or during a waiting period was rather fitting.
As the seconds ticked by, from the corner of his eye, Tang Ye noticed Ah Fu’s enormous body was starting to change. He flicked away the cigarette from his hand and walked over for a closer inspection.
The bone spurs encircling Ah Fu’s body began to grow rapidly, covering the skin’s surface. Simultaneously, the curved horn on its head began to press down and grow. The completely bald head split into countless blood holes of different sizes, from which grew five to six bone spurs, soft and limp, laying on the floor.
The mountain of bone spurs at the back also started to tremble. Each sturdy bone spur showed signs of cracking and shattering any mont!
Its body was also growing, Tang Ye estimated its evolution to reach at least eight ters high. To his surprise, Ah Fu’s body started shrinking once it reached seven ters!
The tall standing bone spurs at its back shattered completely into pieces, replaced by black needle-like appendages that weren’t as hard as the previous bone spurs but were soft and droopy.
The transformation might seem swift, but Ah Fu’s evolution was happening very slowly. After more than two hours, Ah Fu’s height had shrunk to around five ters, but the muscles on its body had beco significantly more exaggerated—looking as if soone had moulded it by hand.
Eerily red lines appeared on its pitch-black skin, coiling around its body. As soon as Ah Fu’s body ceased to transform, Tang Ye silently waited by it, for it to wake up.
By the ti it was night, Tang Ye checked his watch—it was 3 a.m. That was when Ah Fu woke up slowly. Standing up, the large black appendages from its back dragged on the ground, its aura beca even more ominous!
Once awake, it obediently stood in front of Tang Ye. Narrowing his eyes, he sized up Ah Fu and noticed a conspicuous red line on its belly.
It was one of Ah Fu’s abilities; Tang Ye rarely saw it use. It was only once, when it was engaged in a fight with Li Qingtian and her brother, becoming desperate, had it transford into a different form.
It’s uncertain as to what Ah Fu’s current transformation would look like.
