Upon hearing Tang Ye’s words, Nannan seed to understand, as she stopped crying and even smiled at the mask on Tang Ye’s face.

Influenced by Nannan’s smile, Tang Ye also gave a hoarse chuckle, stroked Nannan’s face, and put his hand back down.

"Rember my words, take care of him."

"Got it, Brother Nian."

Zhou Ranjun hurried back, he was scared of this Brother Nian. Brother Nian was powerful. Although he had never shown his true strength in front of him and others, his height, the aura of bloodlust that unintentionally emanated from him, was enough to scare anyone shitless!

Nobody knew how many people he had killed to emanate such an aura.

In the face of his words, not a single person, including Zhou Ranjun and everyone else present, dared to oppose him.

"Wait for to return, I’ll reward you."

"Reward?" Zhou Ranjun’s eyes lit up, and he vigorously nodded.

"Got it, Brother Nian. I will definitely complete the task and take good care of her!"

"Is that so, well, that gives so peace of mind."

Having said that, Tang Ye turned around, and as he did so, he saw Bai Huipeng anxiously rushing over towards him.

Upon seeing Bai Huipeng, Zhou Ranjun imdiately rembered sothing he had to tell Tang Ye but had unconsciously forgotten in the midst of Tang Ye handing Nannan over to him.

Just as he was about to tell Tang Ye about it, he saw Bai Huipeng rushing over hurriedly.

"Brother Nian, you’re finally here!"

Seeing how flustered Bai Huipeng was, a look of confusion crossed Tang Ye’s face. "What happened?" he asked, "Why are you in such a panic?"

Bai Huipeng managed to steady himself a little before explaining: "Brother Nian, sothing strange has happened. Since yesterday, most of the people who went out to look for supplies returned with so kind of strange illness. We don’t know what caused it."

"Aren’t there any doctors around here? I rember there were several." Tang Ye asked, frowning.

"Of course there are, but none of them know what this disease is." Bai Huipeng said anxiously, feeling embarrassed, he thought to himself, "If they knew, they wouldn’t have to co to you."

Tang Ye, however, scoffed and cursed, "They don’t know, and I do? What use are you to if you can’t handle sothing like this?"

At Tang Ye’s words, Bai Huipeng’s face instantly went pale. Just as he was about to explain sothing, Tang Ye raised his hand to stop him.

"Enough, take to see for myself."

The words he had just spoken were just out of frustration. Even though he was ruthless and bloodthirsty, he wasn’t the kind to kill soone out of dissatisfaction. He was just unhappy that his subordinates couldn’t even handle a minor matter.

He didn’t want them to report to him every single ti sothing small happened.

Bai Huipeng didn’t have ti to think about all this, and hurriedly led Tang Ye towards the other side of the gathering place.

As they reached a factory shed, Tang Ye saw about a dozen people, bound to chairs, convulsing continuously, their faces pale as if they were having a seizure.

A few people were huddled together, discussing sothing. As Tang Ye entered, their faces grew serious, and they promptly greeted him.

Looking at them, Tang Ye realized that they were the doctors here. He never held back rewards for capable people. These six doctors had beco significantly healthier since they first arrived.

"Do you know what disease this is?" Bai Huipeng asked anxiously.

To be honest, Bai Huipeng didn’t really care about the fate of these oddly-ill people. But the strange circumstances in which the disease occurred genuinely perturbed him. The survivors who ca back didn’t fall ill all at once.

Those who returned yesterday fell ill one after the other after returning, they were all helped in by their team mbers.

The disease was bizarre. Initially, only one person had it, but in the end, there were seventeen. Just this morning, seven people were brought in!

All this peculiarity made Bai Huipeng worried. Now, everyone was prohibited from going out to find supplies, and the doctors were all at a loss as to what this disease was.

"We don’t have the necessary equipnt, we don’t know what this disease is at all, but it’s certainly not epilepsy," the man standing in the middle of the six doctors said.

"No equipnt..."

Bai Huipeng shot a quick glance at Tang Ye and then said to the man, "I’ll send soone out to find so dical equipnt."

Tang Ye remained silent, letting Bai Huipeng make the arrangents while he squinted at the people tied to the chairs.

Seeing Tang Ye like this, Bai Huipeng and the other six doctors remained silent too, standing stiffly behind him.

The air grew silent and oppressive, causing discomfort. Just as the six doctors seed unable to bear it any longer, the iron door of the shed was pushed open, and two n carrying a convulsing man walked in.

"Peng... Brother Nian, you’re here."

Upon seeing Tang Ye, the two n carrying the patient were first taken aback but quickly composed themselves and said to Bai Huipeng, "Another person outside has contracted this disease."

Bai Huipeng quickly ordered, "Quickly, tie him up!"

The two n quickly bound the struggling man to a chair. They wanted to leave, but upon glancing at Tang Ye, they didn’t dare to leave so hastily, choosing instead to stand carefully behind him.

This Brother Nian was too brutal! The scene from a month before was deeply engraved in everyone’s minds. Everybody was worried that if they made a mistake, they would be shot by this "Li Henian" and then their brains would be extracted for the so-called Evolution Crystal Core.

Under their watchful eyes, Tang Ye finally made a move. He walked over to the survivor who had just been tied up and was convulsing uncontrollably, then asked the two people who had brought him in, "When did he beco like this?"

"He just returned, and he was like this when he ca back," one of the two n answered.

Tang Ye nodded in acknowledgnt, then looked at the patient, his eyes narrowing into dangerous slits.

"How strange... hehe."

He let out a sardonic laugh, sending shivers down the spines of the people behind him. They didn’t see Tang Ye say anything, just saw him extend a hand. As he touched the man’s forehead with his hand, a small hole appeared in the glove he was wearing, and a small, bloody tendril ca out.

A few seconds passed, and the spark in Tang Ye’s eyes grew brighter. To the anticipation of those behind him, he finally lowered his hand and said to Bai Huipeng, "Strip them."

"Yes!"

Although he didn’t know what Tang Ye was planning, Bai Huipeng didn’t ask any further questions. He simply acknowledged the order and began instructing his n to remove their clothes.

A few minutes later, the bodies of the dozens of patients present were laid bare for everyone to see.

Tang Ye stepped forward, grabbed a patient’s hair, and threw him onto the ground. His gaze fell on a small wound on the man’s heel - the wound was still bloody, but it had already ford a scab.
