Dodging Ning Yu’er’s gaze, the test subject stood up once again. Ning Yu’er watched him in shock, this scene seed sohow familiar.

It was like that zombie...

However, tis have changed, and she no longer felt the sa concern as she once did.

Watching him stand as if he were in a mad frenzy, Ning Yu’er felt a pang of guilt. Staring at the tragic figure of the test subject, she opened her mouth and shouted with all the energy she had left, "Go, don’t worry about , why do you have to do this, just go!"

Hearing this, the test subject faltered, but a defiant look appeared on his face.

"I don’t want you to die!"

With a fierce roar, he began to run, charging recklessly towards their formidable foes!

The eyes of Yan Ling and his companion narrowed simultaneously, a shared murderous intent exchanged in their glance.

"Go! Leave , just go!" Ning Yu’er scread hoarsely.

But the test subject didn’t listen, intending to risk everything in one final grasp for survival!

What he didn’t expect was the look of resentnt that flashed in Ning Yu’er’s eyes. She knew that she couldn’t escape today, but this test subject could have run, yet he chose to battle the mbers of the Dragon Group for her sake.

She didn’t know Mu Ling, but Yan Ling, the man her own father feared, always caused her father’s eyes to show deep vigilance each ti he saw him!

She couldn’t bear to see another person who was kind to her die. At this mont, life and death ant nothing to her.

Looking around and finding no ans for suicide, Ning Yu’er returned her gaze to the battlefield. The test subject was severely wounded and looked ready to fall at any mont.

"Stop!"

For so unknown reason, all three of them stopped when they heard Ning Yu’er’s voice.

Gazing at the three n and the ruined world around her, a wave of sorrow washed over Ning Yu’er. The test subject’s eyes were bloodshot, his vitality fading, reducing him to a state of battle frenzy. However, upon seeing Ning Yu’er, a shred of sanity returned to him.

"You want dead, right? I’ll die now, just let him go..."

With a weak smile on her pale face, Ning Yu’er raised her arm. Seeing her movent, Yan Ling’s eyes twitched, instantly understanding what she was about to do.

A lancholic smile crossed her face, but it disappeared in the next mont. She bowed her head and bit fiercely into her wrist, using all the bite force of a human.

Hiss~

A large chunk of flesh from her wrist was torn off by her teeth, and the fresh blood gushed out like a small stream, pushing her already weakened self to the brink of death.

The test subject let out a roar of rage, left the battleground, and rushed over to lift Ning Yu’er.

"We’re leaving!"

As he spoke, he quickly rushed towards the distance!

"Chase them!"

However, the two n weren’t willing to let them go. Even though killing Ning Yu’er would weigh heavily on their conscience, they felt no such rcy for a highly unstable test subject!

At the sa ti, both n transford into shadows and gave chase!

As the test subject ran, a cold sweat broke out on his forehead. His single arm, carrying Ning Yu’er, began to weaken, and his steps beca unsteady, causing him to stumble several tis.

The two pursuers were in relentless pursuit. The test subject, feeling his energy drain away, slowed his pace and ca to a halt. Seeing the quarantine net being erected in the distance, a look of unwillingness crossed the test subject’s face.

"Sorry, kind person, I... I can’t run anymore."

Gently setting down Ning Yu’er, he staggered a bit, then threw himself on the ground, panting heavily. Any observer would know that the test subject wouldn’t last much longer.

Yan Ling and Mu Ling stopped so distance away. Mu Ling held his knife, ready to advance. However, Ning Yu’er staggered to her feet and begged, "Leave him alone, please? You can capture or kill , whatever you want, okay?"

Looking at Ning Yu’er, Yan Ling’s eyes filled with mixed emotions. He was extrely reluctant to kill this girl, but duty was unfeeling!

Mu Ling ignored her, his cold expression devoid of any human sentint. As he took a step forward, Yan Ling grabbed his arm.

Mu Ling looked puzzled, but Yan Ling simply shook his head.

Mu Ling understood Yan Ling’s aning instantly.

"Do you know what you’re doing?"

"Of course, let them go, I’ll explain it over there,".

Mu Ling stared coldly at Yan Ling, who was returning his gaze. After a mont, Mu Ling stepped back, agreeing with Yan Ling.

"You can go,".

Ning Yu’er gave him one last look. There was no emotion in her vacant eyes. She glanced at the fallen test subject, squatted down and checked his breathing – he was still alive, but with those wounds, he wouldn’t last long.

This was the quarantine area, and zombies could enter at any mont.

As Yan Ling and Mu Ling left, Ning Yu’er watched them go. She then, miraculously, managed to get the test subject to his feet.

But how far could the severely injured Ning Yu’er walk? She stopped near a wall, let the test subject down, and slumped against the wall from exhaustion.

She could sense the presence of death nearby, ready to claim her at any mont. Wounded in this apocalyptic world, there was no chance of survival without dical supplies.

Staring blankly at the bare wall in front of her, Ning Yu’er’s thoughts strayed far away.

From childhood to adulthood, scenes from her life flashed in her mind like a movie reel, with tender monts between her and Ning Tianlang eliciting a silly smile on the dazed Ning Yu’er’s face.

Suddenly, the test subject, who lay like a dead dog, stirred, interrupting Ning Yu’er’s reverie.

"You haven’t died, right?"

"About to die," the test subject’s voice weakly echoed, before he turned over and continued, "It hurts so much... are you still kind?"

"Kind? I used to be, but... not anymore," Ning Yu’er softly replied. Blood continuously dripped from her wrist and waist, like a countdown to her life, but no fear could be seen on her face.

The test subject fell silent. For so reason, he felt heartbroken hearing her answer.

"Really? So, are you going to die?"

"Yes," Ning Yu’er replied.

"But, I don’t want you to die."

"Why?" Ning Yu’er questioned.

"Because you’re kind, that’s why."

"Kind?"

With a scoff, Ning Yu’er shook her head and fell silent, while the test subject continued, "You’re very weak, and you’re about to die, but I can’t let you die. I want you to live, I want you to kill everyone!"

"Kill everyone..." Ning Yu’er muttered, lost in thought, but remained quiet. In that mont, she didn’t refute his words.
