She couldn’t describe her feelings anymore. Maybe she had gotten used to the Apocalypse, so when she returned to the ti before it, she always felt this wasn’t Earth, but another world she wasn’t familiar with!

The people around here, do they rember their terrifying and frightening appearances after becoming zombies?

The countdown ended, the green light turned red, and the vehicles on the road started moving. The honking from the cars ahead brought Su Sigui back to reality. She stopped again, looked at the bustling street, and shook her head in unwillingness.

"No... why, does it have to be at this ti?"

The light in her eyes dimd. It wasn’t that she only thought she belonged in the post-apocalyptic world, nor that she hated a peaceful and prosperous era; rather, she hated herself in this period because she was the most cowardly and the one she was most willing to rember.

And why did she suddenly have to start over?

She wasn’t the kind of person who would be confused by the sights before her; she rembered very clearly that she wasn’t dead!

Thinking of the strangeness Tang Ye showed just a second ago. It seed she had the answer in her heart. Sweeping over everything around her once again, she no longer stayed and walked in the direction of "ho".

With every step, the mories that were almost shattered slowly reassembled, and her past and present life gradually beca clearer step by step. At so point, she put down the vigilance in her heart, perhaps... understanding that she wasn’t in the Apocalypse now...

Or perhaps losing her powers suddenly made her feel a bit unaccustod.

Upon realizing her relaxation, Su Sigui beca alert once more!

Is this really the old era?

She always felt sothing was amiss!

Stopping in her tracks, she suspiciously scanned her surroundings, carefully examining the people around her, but these people were just living people, with nothing unusual.

Perhaps it’s that she’s certain of her encounter? Su Sigui dispelled the doubts in her heart and continued walking on the road ho.

However, while passing a construction site, she took advantage of the workers not paying attention and picked up a thumb-thick steel rod.

After tucking it behind her backpack, she nonchalantly continued forward, brushing past countless pedestrians, when soon, soone called out her na from behind.

"Yuting..."

A sowhat hoarse male voice, abrupt and discordant, called out this na she had long forgotten. Upon hearing this na, Su Sigui’s pace paused for a mont. She turned to look, and it was a man with slightly disheveled hair and a scruffy beard, making it hard to discern his true age.

That was...

Su Sigui was a little dazed. How could she possibly forget this man?

She had witnessed with her own eyes, he had died twice—once being devoured by zombies, and once dying at her own hands. This man was her father!

His appearance was so familiar, the only difference being that compared to the him in her mory, this man was much stronger.

She did not answer the man, just quietly watched him as he walked step by step towards her, his face gloomy, clearly showing this father’s unstable emotions.

"Where are you going?"

"..."

"You’re going ho, aren’t you? Get lost! You don’t have a ho anymore!"

"..."

"Don’t pretend to be mute. I see you’re quite satisfied now; isn’t this what you wanted to see?"

"..."

"Go, go beg that crazy woman! What are you doing here? Hurry up and die, why are you still living here!"

The man strode towards Su Sigui, carrying a sense of oppression no ordinary person should have, and this scene quickly caught the attention of the surrounding people. The previously hurried passersby stopped in their tracks, and their gazes lingered nakedly between the man and Su Sigui.

Curiosity?

Or schadenfreude?

Su Sigui remained silent, quietly pulling out the steel rod she picked up earlier from behind her backpack, but her action only made the man even angrier!

"What do you want to do? You’re thinking of attacking , aren’t you?"

The man’s words were harsh, making Su Sigui feel a surge of disgust. She glanced down and discarded the steel rod in her hand. But the next second, the man quickened his pace and suddenly charged at her like a beast!

The raised fist made Su Sigui feel a killing intent completely out of place in this era!

The sudden turn of events made the surrounding people exclaim in alarm.

"Girl, move aside!" Soone reminded Su Sigui, but compared to the man, she, looking like a middle schooler, seed petrified as if scared stiff.

Under countless gazes, so timid onlookers had already closed their eyes, thinking how could a child withstand soone as strong as a bull!

While people worried for Su Sigui, what happened next dropped their jaws. Just as the man rushed at her, before he could even grab her, Su Sigui swiftly swung her backpack with a loud "smack" hitting the man’s face!

This unexpected move dazed the man for an instant, and in the next second, rather than retreating, Su Sigui advanced, grabbing the man’s fist tightly, using her legs to propel herself into the air, rotating her body with full force, and thus easily snaking around behind the man.

Letting go of the man’s arm, Su Sigui swung her arm around the man’s neck, simultaneously locking her legs around his waist, left elbow clamping her right wrist, thus forming a chokehold in the blink of an eye!

The man’s face turned visibly red as blood rushed to his head, the intense suffocation causing him to emit wheezing "ho-ho-ho" sounds. He tried to break free from Su Sigui’s grip, forcibly pulling apart her delicate arms, but the suffocation had already overco him before he could even grab them, making him slump down to his knees with a "thud"!

He continued to struggle, but how could Su Sigui give him a chance? She gritted her teeth, increasing the force, and before long, the suffocation rendered the man powerless, collapsing without movent.

The danger cleared, Su Sigui didn’t let go imdiately, but slowly moved her hands to the man’s face, then exerted force!

In the next instant, only a "crack" sound was heard. For a mont, people thought they misheard. When they looked over, the man’s head had been twisted to an angle impossible for a normal person to achieve!

That strong man had his neck forcibly broken by Su Sigui!

"Is he dead?"

"That little girl... k-killed soone?"

"..."

In an instant, countless people stared at Su Sigui as if she were a monster, full of disbelief!

Even though she had lost the powers that higher-tier new humans should have possessed, twenty-plus years of living in the Apocalypse had shaped her into the top assassin!

After confirming the man had stopped breathing, Su Sigui gasped for air, finally releasing him. Slowly, she stood up, the short fight leaving her hair slightly disheveled, and her bangs hanging over one eye, while her other eye glanced at the onlookers!

The murderous look in her eyes carried an inexplicable aura, startling the people! That was not the gaze one living in a peaceful and prosperous world should have!
