The man’s features were strikingly exquisite, giving off an indescribable feeling that was both inhuman and bizarre at first glance. He appeared to be about eighteen or nineteen years old, looking rather youthful, yet his deanor was not at all fitting for soone so young, carrying a hint of maturity. However, this kind of aura was common among many, especially so Level 8 New Humans.
Among them, aside from those who forcefully evolved to the Level 8 through using Evolution Crystals, those naturally evolved New Humans had their lifespans increased to a certain degree. Upon reaching Level 8, their lifespans often extended to two or three hundred years, which inevitably results in a youthful appearance.
Hence, many Level 8 New Humans’ age cannot be discerned rely by eyesight. Take Chu Yunxuan as an example, although she looked like a girl at most sixteen years old, her real age was already thirty-four or thirty-five, and in a few more years, she’d be nearing forty.
"Is he Li Henian..." For so reason, at first sight of Tang Ye, Chu Yunxuan felt a strong sense of familiarity, as if she had t him sowhere a long ti ago and was quite close to him. Yet, in that mont, she couldn’t imdiately recall who he was in her mory.
As the man known as "Li Henian," his image engraved deeper in her heart, her curiosity intensified!
She increasingly felt that this person must have played a very important role in a certain period of her past life.
After a mont of silence, she finally walked towards Tang Ye. As she passed behind several zombies, Chu Zha and the others quickly sensed soone following them, then turned around.
"Who are you?"
"I’m looking for soone."
"Looking for...who are you looking for, does anyone know you?"
Hearing the conversation behind, Tang Ye also stopped and looked over. But Chu Yunxuan didn’t say anything more, just pointed her finger at herself.
"Boss..."
Tang Ye froze for a mont, until the girl in front of Chu Zha turned around. That face, both unfamiliar and familiar, appeared in front of him, and so past mories surfaced in his mind.
At this instant, he once again felt the weight of the word "ti."
The na that once occupied his thoughts, the face that caused him to fall and rise countless tis, now barely stirred his heart.
This mont, it was as if he found an old faded, yellowed photograph in a dust-laden cabinet, its recorded events bringing a faintly nostalgic and tranquil taste of ti.
He remained silent, and seeing him silent, she finally rembered who Tang Ye was and what their relationship was.
How lantable, she had completely forgotten his na, a na that should have been easy to rember...
Upon eting again, the two were no different from strangers, and under that silent mutual gaze, Tang Ye could only ask, "I didn’t expect you were still alive..."
Chu Yunxuan wanted to say sothing, but when she started to speak, not a single word ca out. Helplessly, she closed her mouth and lightly nodded. Tang Ye shook his head; there was nothing more for him and her to talk about. The unexpected reunion caught both off guard, and he didn’t want to waste more ti here, so he said to Chu Zha and the others beside him, "Let’s go."
Chu Yunxuan chose not to stop him, just silently watched his figure grow further and further away, until her eyes turned slightly red, the mist not yet brewed was suppressed by her. She whispered, "I’m sorry..."
On the road, Chu Zha curiously ran to Tang Ye and asked, "Boss, who was that person just now?"
Tang Ye glanced at him and simply replied, "Soone I already know." Apart from that, he didn’t elaborate further, seemingly because Chu Zha saw that his boss didn’t want to explain too much, so he didn’t ask anymore.
"I see."
It didn’t take long for Tang Ye to take the four zombies back to the base, and Yi Huangcheng had been waiting there for a while.
"Hasn’t Xu Haishui co to find you yet?" Tang Ye asked Yi Huangcheng as soon as he sat on the sofa after entering the hall.
Yi Huangcheng took a big gulp of wine, shook his head, "Nope, I think Xu Haishui should be wary of us by now, won’t co to find anymore..."
Tang Ye nodded, "True, ti is running short, at most two days left. Tomorrow and the day after, go out again; if Xu Haishui hasn’t co to you by then, go do the important stuff."
"Hmm." Yi Huangcheng’s reply was rather indifferent, and Tang Ye could see that he seed to be in a bad mood, maybe because he knew Xu Haishui had sothing he cared about but couldn’t be sure.
"By the way, boss, when I ca back, I encountered soone from Su Sigui."
"What did they want from you?" Tang Ye asked with curiosity as Yi Huangcheng spoke, and the latter put down the wine bottle, picked up a black box from the floor behind the cabinet in the hall, and brought it back to place at Tang Ye’s feet.
Tang Ye glanced at it, curiously opened the box, and inside was a purely black, diamond-shaped backpack, flat, giving a strong tallic feel, though it seed more like an oddly-shaped backpack, it didn’t seem like it could hold much.
"What’s this..."
"Seems to be the Divine God Armor..."
"They really gave it to ..." Tang Ye felt surprised, the more generous Su Sigui was, the stranger he felt. This Divine God Armor was no ordinary item; it could serve as a lifesaver for a Level 9 New Human!
Tang Ye licked his lips, finally reaching out to pick up the diamond-shaped backpack from the box. Yet, as soon as he touched it, he felt a weight. An item that could make a Level 9 zombie feel its weight, one can imagine how heavy it must be!
"Not ordinary indeed." He chuckled twice, grabbing the diamond-shaped backpack with both hands, trying to tear it open.
Initially, he was quite careful, but seeing the backpack not reacting, he gradually increased his strength, until in the end, using all his force, he still couldn’t tear open this compressed Divine God Armor!
The hardness was astonishing, even facing this before a Level 9 existence was akin to an ordinary person facing a sheet of steel! The protective effect couldn’t be ignored!
Tang Ye didn’t imdiately try it on but looked at Hu Ji and the others and asked, "Who wants to try it?"
As soon as he asked, Chu Zha and the others, already curious about the Divine God Armor, imdiately shouted in unison, ", , !"
Without hesitation, Tang Ye pointed randomly, "Then you try it first."
"Ah?" Yi Huangcheng hesitated for a mont but finally couldn’t resist the curiosity about the Divine God Armor and put on the compressed backpack. As the black armor slowly covered his body, he yelled out in pain the next second.
