Perhaps pressured by the might of his own being, the other Tang Ye finally chose to yield. He reached into the dicine bottle, scooped so powder, and put it directly into his mouth. After swallowing, the two Tang Ye stared at each other in silence.

One was waiting for death that might appear on his body anyti, while the other waited for the anomaly on the other’s body to sever the connection with his own being!

As ti went by, the Tang Ye sitting in the chair finally spoke.

"Feel anything?"

"Nothing... Maybe I didn’t eat enough." said the other Tang Ye, as he dug a large chunk of dicine powder with his index finger and stuffed it into his mouth. The mont the powder entered his stomach, it dissipated completely, and after a while, nothing unpleasant occurred.

"This thing given by Lu Xiaojie might be targeted at a specific existence, thus it probably won’t work on us." concluded the other Tang Ye, but the original Tang Ye still frowned.

"But if that’s the case, what was Lu Xiaojie’s intention with this bottle of dicine?"

"These troubleso matters should still be solved by yourself, this was all your own decision."

Tang Ye waved his hand irritably, and the other Tang Ye imdiately liquefied and was reabsorbed back into his body, leaving the shop silent once again.

"Forget it, maybe I should wait and see for another while. If Lu Xiaojie isn’t dead, she might provide with more clues."

Unable to figure it out, Tang Ye stopped trying, casually picked up a book, turned off the lights in the shop, and went upstairs to pass the night.

The book he picked up was just a philosophical book, making his reading more tedious. Consequently, he put the book aside, closed his eyes, preparing to sleep, but the next second, he suddenly snapped awake!

"What’s going on!"

Tang Ye sat up from bed, blinked in surprise, realizing he felt sleepy!

"Could it be that bottle of dicine!" He imdiately identified the reason, hastily checking his body, but found no issues, rely gaining sleepiness.

He lay in bed for a while, and the more he lingered, the stronger the sleepiness beca. Frowning and pondering for a mont, he eventually gave up resisting and drifted off to sleep!

As his consciousness plunged into haziness, not knowing how much ti passed, Tang Ye suddenly opened his eyes, got out of bed, and looked out the window, seeing no magnificent stars, just a thick fog.

"I’ve entered the inner world."

He stood before the window, attempting to see everything outside through the glass, but the fog was indescribably dense, and aside from the mist, Tang Ye couldn’t see anything.

He pushed the window, finding it stuck. Tang Ye simply forced it open, but even so, he could only see dense fog outside.

"It seems the fog will only disappear if I step outside." Rembering his first entry into the inner world, Tang Ye turned and moved toward the shop on the first floor. The stairs had collapsed, but that didn’t pose a difficulty; he arrived at the severely decayed shop door effortlessly.

Reaching out to grip the doorknob, as Tang Ye acted, the shop door creaked open, revealing everything outside. But upon seeing the outside world, Tang Ye froze—outside the shop was not a street but a vast forest!

At a glance, the ground was bare, all hard clay soil, devoid of any green. The surrounding trees were sparsely distributed, yet each tree was exceptionally tall. Without looking up, those straight, sturdy trunks resembled enormous steel needles. It seed like a low-quality single-player ga’s forest model; aside from trees, there was nothing else.

The fog remained, not as thick as inside the house, lightly veiling the surroundings, enough to see farther away. This fog imbued the forest with a somber gray-white hue.

The mist seed strange, but unfortunately, Tang Ye’s attention didn’t imdiately notice these abnormalities.

Turning around, he saw only Mr. Pillay’s Grocery Store behind him, with the flowers outside entirely withered, forming a gray-black small garden. Amidst this monotonous forest of indefinite reach, the building appeared particularly lonely.

"Where am I?" Tang Ye wondered in his mind, surrounded by lifelessness, seemingly the only active presence.

This didn’t seem like the inner world, yet he couldn’t define it.

Surveying the surroundings, Tang Ye tried to find so workable clues, but unfortunately, nothing developed as he imagined. Eventually, he returned to where he started, gazing at the sky. It was pitch-black, akin to the inner world, as if soone had draped a black cloth over it.

"Ma De, how can I go back like this?" Tang Ye felt he might have done sothing wrong, embarking on an irreversible path.

"Damn! Had I known, I’d have imdiately severed the connection!" Tang Ye felt irritable, with no leads or ideas because of the information Lu Xiaojie gave him. He couldn’t afford to roam randomly, like playing a ga that could never be completed, his ntal state nearing an explosive edge.

"This ability is really twisted." Only then did Tang Ye curb his underestimation of the Nightmare Zombie King. Such ability, without anyone’s assistance, could trap him like any other zombie king!

Having experienced so much, Tang Ye quickly cald himself down. The more chaotic the situation, the easier it was to lose footing.

Sigh~

Taking a deep breath, Tang Ye again surveyed attentively. He hadn’t yet reached a dead end, uncertain if by sleeping again he’d return to the surface world, yet currently, Tang Ye felt no sleepiness, in the sa state as before he took Lu Xiaojie’s dicine in the surface world, possibly facing insomnia.

The horizon was entirely enveloped by mist, everything void, brimming with danger. Tang Ye considered checking even farther, but he soon dismissed the idea, observing once more—not just around the shop, but the entirety of the two-story building, searching inside and out without discovering anything suspicious.

Opening the door, Tang Ye frustratingly kicked aside the drooping flower branches caused by wilting, sitting on the small steps in front of the door, his brows furrowed.

"Hiss... This is wrong."

Now Tang Ye had to contemplate venturing farther, yet at that mont, he raised his head, seemingly noticing sothing, a glimr flashing in his eyes.
