"She hasn’t co out from inside?" After listening to Bick’s account, Tang Ye quickly asked.

Bick shook his head and replied, "No, at least I haven’t seen her co out."

"So, she hasn’t eaten anything all this ti?"

"I’m not sure about that, but you know her family’s situation. Her mother would absolutely never prepare food for her..." Bick paused, swallowed, and continued, "Officer, everything I’ve said is true. At least! It’s what my own eyes have seen. So now, can Léonor be charged?"

"Certainly."

Tang Ye’s eyes flickered briefly, but he nodded quickly. His thought was simple: he would take Léonor along when he left, throw her in the police station for two days, then let her out. Once she’s ho, create so supernatural events to scare her, warning her that being bad to her child would attract ghosts!

With his abilities, whether it was quietly taking Léonor to the police station or creating supernatural events, he could easily accomplish both!

"Alright, I can go downstairs to handle these matters now." Tang Ye stood up to head downstairs, but Bick called out to him.

"Officer, wait a mont!"

"Hmm?" Tang Ye looked at him with confusion as Bick rubbed his hands, his face showing so hesitance. He approached Tang Ye, looking troubled, and finally revealed what he wanted to say: it was about Dairya whispering in the stairwell earlier. Seeing Tang Ye’s lack of concern, Bick grew anxious.

"Officer, you must believe !"

"Uh... I think you should calm down. These are all superstitions. We should trust science. It’s very likely Léonor is making excuses for herself. But, if you do encounter sothing, you can contact at Mr. Pillay’s grocery store. I’m more than happy to help resolve these issues."

"Mr. Pillay’s grocery store? How do we contact you there?"

"Just find the owner, and tell him anything you encounter. I will get the ssage imdiately."

"Alright..." Bick’s face reddened a bit since he, a grown adult, felt afraid of sothing that might not even exist. But he felt relieved hearing Tang Ye’s words, perhaps due to the sense of security Tang Ye’s uniform provided.

After patting Bick’s shoulder, Tang Ye went downstairs, watched by Bick’s wife Ariana. Léonor did not try to escape. As soon as he saw her, he said, "I’ve learned everything I need to know. I have full authority to charge you with child abuse!"

"No... I didn’t! They... They’re lying! I didn’t, Officer! Please believe !"

Following Tang Ye’s words, Léonor beca frantic, shouting loudly, but Tang Ye ignored her and went to the narrow door. He glanced up and down, perhaps irritated by Léonor’s yelling, and turned to shout, "Shut up!"

This shout emitted an aura of authority from Tang Ye, making Léonor tremble and quickly fall silent, looking at him fearfully.

"I..."

"Do you have the key to open this door?" The woman wanted to say sothing, but Tang Ye pretended not to hear and asked directly.

Léonor shook her head.

"The key is with that little demon... my daughter!"

Tang Ye lightly shook his head; he wasn’t surprised. Even if she had the key, she wouldn’t use a stool to smash it. He asked only to confirm if she’d forgotten she had the key due to losing her mind.

"Do you know what she’s doing in there?"

"I... don’t know." Léonor instinctively struggled but then gave up, answering resignedly.

Tang Ye didn’t speak further, looking at the door. Dairya was inside, the master of the illusion. Tang Ye suspected there might be clues inside.

No one noticed; his fingertips twitched lightly with blood and flesh as Tang Ye contemplated using his thod to open the door. But soon, he abandoned the idea, rembering sothing.

"This small room..." He murmured to himself, suddenly recalling the protagonist Hepney in "Hepney’s Dream Forest" had discovered a door leading to the fantasy forest in the stairwell?

According to Bick, Dairya moved in there only recently, aning she did this after reading "Hepney’s Dream Forest".

"I see..." Tang Ye understood Dairya’s actions. He recalled watching a movie, "The Chronicles of Narnia," in his childhood where the protagonists enter a wardrobe and go to another magical world. Inspired by the movie, he once slept in a wardrobe but found nothing.

But that was just once; later, Tang Ye abandoned the fantasy of entering another world via the wardrobe. However, Dairya seed more persistent, doing this continuously for days.

After glancing at Léonor, Dairya’s mother, Tang Ye turned back. He raised his hand, inhaled deeply, and finally knocked on the door panel.

Thud, thud, thud.

No response from inside, but it was expected by Tang Ye. He knocks a few more tis but still receives no reply.

"Ahem..." Clearing his throat, Tang Ye spoke to the door panel using Officer Fei’s voice, "Child, can you hear ?"

While speaking, Tang Ye kept knocking on the door, but there was still no response. The only sound he hears is Dairya fiddling with objects inside, remaining indifferent to his speech as if she didn’t hear it.

"Hey? Child, I’m here to rescue you. Don’t worry, Uncle’s here. No one will hurt you. Co out, okay?" Tang Ye spoke again, yet Dairya remained silent. Frowning, Tang Ye looked upstairs at Bick, who simply shook his head, confirming Dairya’s refusal to communicate with strangers, even those she knows.

Helplessly, Tang Ye switched back to his voice, which was Mr. Pillay’s voice.

"Dairya." He called her na, and this ti, she responded!

"Mr. Pillay?"

Her tone carried disbelief, as if doubting Mr. Pillay’s presence in her ho.

"It’s ." Tang Ye felt a bit relieved; the past few days of kindness were not wasted. He might be the one Dairya trusted the most; of course, possibly one among others...
