After saying this, the girl turned her head again to look at the flesh cocoon. How could Su Sigui refuse? She just nodded, her gaze moved from the girl to the side, and said, "This isn’t the best viewing platform, let’s go over there."

She pointed to the top of a nearby building, didn’t wait for the girl’s response, her figure flickered in place, and the next mont she disappeared, appearing at the place she had pointed to earlier.

"Makes sense..."

The girl did not refuse and promptly disappeared. Their speed was so fast, like teleportation, that the few people on the other side could not see any trace of their movent.

A raging wind suddenly blew from an unknown direction, sweeping away the thick clouds in the sky, allowing a ray of sunlight to shine upon the earth. Coincidentally, this ray of light had just shone on Su Sigui. She raised her hand, feeling this warmth, and looked at the girl who had already sat down quietly beside her.

"Chen Bieli, you didn’t go by this na before. Why did you change it?"

"It seems you’ve investigated . Why the na change... just wanted to say goodbye to the past."

"You’re the one who knows your father best, right?"

"..." The girl exhaled and shook her head, "The mories are a bit distant now, my impression of him is sowhat blurred, I’m not sure."

"Are you sure he’s still alive?"

"Why do you ask? You seem... a bit worried? If you’re afraid that my dad being alive poses a threat to you, you can rest assured, he’s dead. At that ti... hehe, he couldn’t possibly be alive... Why, you don’t seem so happy either."

"Just a little hard to believe."

"Why?" The girl was puzzled. She always felt that Su Sigui, who looked not much older than herself, was hiding sothing, but the other party didn’t answer her question, just shook her head and switched topics.

"A few months after the post-apocalyptic outbreak, you were an ordinary person back then. I’m curious, how did you cross Lin City to get to the safe zone unhard?"

"You’ve investigated this too, the people who used to follow my dad are still alive?"

"Don’t underestimate the current intelligence agency."

"Alright, but if I said a very powerful zombie escorted there, would you believe ?"

Su Sigui raised her eyebrows. Although she couldn’t know the exact ti when the other party crossed Lin City from Honglin to the safe zone, she was sure it should be within two or three months after the apocalypse, possibly only a month!

At that ti, there was already a zombie able to maintain its sanity and evolved to Level 2, at the forefront of the evolution path. If the one ntioned by the other side was still alive, not being Level 8 by now wouldn’t make sense, might even be...

Sensing sothing ominous, Su Sigui squinted her eyes and glanced at the girl.

"Hopefully I’m just overthinking..." She muttered to herself privately. Additionally, she didn’t want to add pressure on herself. Many tis, she had to look forward, not looking back and forth, left and right.

"Is that zombie still alive now?"

"Do you think I would tell you?"

"I respect your wish, but after arriving at the safe zone, didn’t you look for that zombie? Without that zombie, you wouldn’t be alive now; it’s your lifesaver."

"Haha... I’m very averse to overestimating my status in others’ hearts, you know? A long ti ago, I wasn’t like this, a very naive person, always holding optimistic thoughts about certain things, which killed everyone who loved . Even I think I am a curse. So much ti has passed, I don’t know whether that zombie rembers a person like , and even if it does, I don’t want to find it. I’m afraid, anything I see will cost the life of soone I care about."

The girl’s words resonated with Su Sigui, who was a transmigrator. Her intervention changed the developnt of events dramatically, and a casual small action may lead to the death of people who shouldn’t have died. But she didn’t know what to say; she could only remark:

"Perhaps, in the future, many people would regard you as a savior..."

"Let’s hope so..."

The girl was noncommittal, which was not sothing that particularly pleased her. Right at this mont, the flesh cocoon floating in mid-air, composed of countless purple spores, began showing signs of movent. Everyone — human and zombie alike — turned their gaze towards it. From their vantage points, the overwhelming corpse tide covering the ground suddenly all dropped down, including the hundreds of Level 8 zombies surrounding the obelisk who did the sa.

"It’s coming."

"The other one is coming too."

The girl looked at the three people opposite her. She wished to say sothing but kept silent. When the giant lifted one foot to stomp on the ground, the tiny ants invisible to the naked eye, no matter how hard they tried, couldn’t escape the giant’s foot in such a short ti.

The enormous flesh cocoon floating mid-air began to tremble, and seconds later, the uneven surface creaked like an egg shell breaking. Quickly, a giant limb pierced out from the cocoon, compressing the surrounding air downward, causing the clouds in the sky to reshape under the imnse pressure!

That leg was part of the Level 9 zombie’s body!

After the first limb broke through the cocoon, the second, the third, until all eight spider legs erged, and all the Level 8 zombies surrounding the obelisk began chanting sothing in an unknown language. Finally, the cocoon fully broke open, and a bizarre dark purple spider, its skin decorated with dark red patterns, appeared. The ground it touched started to sprout large amounts of peculiar plants rapidly. These plants blossod, emitting copious amounts of purple spores, which attached themselves to all objects around!

The cars haphazardly parked along the street, road signs, building walls, and damaged chas were quickly engulfed by the purple spores, their original forms indistinguishable.

The various strange patterns ford by the dark red stripes on the spider’s body made one feel extrely uncomfortable, inducing a sensation of dizziness despite not being fatal.

On the spider’s back stood a girl in a floral dress, her skin pale, face blank. She and the spider seed to be one but also appeared to be two separate beings. The emptiness in her eyes seed to have a strong gravitational pull, sucking one’s soul inside, compelling one to avoid looking into them!

"How odd, isn’t the legendary Nightmare Zombie King supposed to cause death upon a single glance? This seems... quite ordinary."
