He frantically thought of counterasures in his mind. Dealing with Fake Ah Fu wasn’t too challenging—he could ignore it entirely. But Xu Haishui had to be handled; otherwise, it would affect his next moves. Yet, in such a short ti, eliminating "Xu Haishui" proved to be a real problem. After the lessons learned earlier, would "Xu Haishui" still allow him to calmly focus on Fake Ah Fu? That seed unlikely.

To break free from Fake Ah Fu’s entanglent, he’d need so ti. His current strength wasn’t at Level 9; he was rely at the peak of Level 8. He couldn’t yet contend with Level 9 opponents but was far stronger than any other Level 8 combatant. However, that didn’t an he could take on multiple enemies simultaneously. After all, there’s a saying: a flurry of punches can defeat even the most skilled fighter.

As various thoughts flickered through his mind, Tang Ye suddenly saw a vine-like tentacle, patterned like a snake’s scales, whipping toward him!

He imdiately stopped thinking, swiftly backed away to create so distance, and sprinted toward another tentacle. Before it could react and attack him, Tang Ye’s palm gathered a burst of dark light, which he stabbed downward onto the tentacle’s body beneath his feet!

Under the powerful eroding force of the dark light, the tentacle’s body was pierced entirely. Unfortunately, the strength wasn’t sufficient to sever it completely!

"Awoo~"

The distinct roar of the tentacles echoed. The tentacle beneath Tang Ye’s feet suddenly twisted, its flower-like mouth at the tip opening wide, snapping toward Tang Ye!

"Troubleso."

He muttered those words; it was evident that Tang Ye was now deeply annoyed. From his perspective, his plate was overflowing with problems, none of which anyone else could help resolve. He had to handle them all himself. Worse still, the path to completing them was cluttered with countless damn obstacles!

These obstacles, though, were secondary. What primarily irritated Tang Ye was the uncertainty about his next steps. The prolonged sense of confusion tempted him to avoid the challenges he was ant to face.

Tang Ye was no exception, though it seed he had nowhere to escape!

Using all his strength in his legs, Tang Ye leapt toward another tentacle. But just as his feet touched the tentacle’s surface, a sudden dizziness caused him to sway precariously several tis.

Struggling to regain his footing, Tang Ye’s face turned grim. He glanced at his hands and noticed, upon closer inspection, that the skin on his palms had begun peeling, though not yet too conspicuously.

"This is bad..."

He muttered three words under his breath. It was only now that Tang Ye realized his remaining internal energy—the driving force for any movent—was down to less than a fraction. If he pushed further, he’d enter an overstrained state, and beyond that... nothing. He would be no different from a corpse—unable to move!

Once immobilized, Tang Ye had no idea what the tentacles would do to him, but he was certain it wouldn’t end well.

He slowly turned his head and glanced to his left. Ahead of him, one tentacle had its flower-like mouth grotesquely stretched wide, as if preparing to swallow him whole!

Tang Ye tried to react, but he clearly felt his body growing significantly heavier, no longer light and agile as before. Just as he stepped forward, the tentacle charging toward him collided with him directly!

Boom!

A cloud of white mist instantly exploded around Tang Ye, sending him flying backward in the direction of another version of himself!

Crash!

Upon landing, the massive impact shattered the ground into pieces, sending dust from the cracked earth swirling dozens of ters high!

Struggling, Tang Ye crawled out of the building ruins. Strangely, he didn’t appear angry or indignant; instead, his face wore a hint of surprise. Turning his gaze to the other version of himself in the distance, it seed the impact from the tentacle had offered him a fresh perspective!

As his eyes locked onto the other figure, Fake Tang Ye let out a sharp scream. The venomous, hateful gaze that had been fixated on Tang Ye all this ti suddenly shifted to "Xu Haishui." It seed that Xu Haishui had committed a blunder that enraged Fake Tang Ye!

Now Tang Ye was less than ten kiloters away from the other version of himself. Every detail surrounding his double was crystal-clear to him. Tang Ye could see that as soon as he landed, the black mist enveloping the other version’s body began churning violently, rolling and surging toward Tang Ye as if it had found its true destination, desperate to break free from Fake Tang Ye!

"This..."

Tang Ye’s face filled with growing astonishnt. He hadn’t expected such a fortunate turn of events, while Fake Tang Ye’s emotions grew ever more chaotic. Tang Ye could see panic creeping across the other’s face!

Hovering in mid-air, Fake Tang Ye frantically waved his arms, forcibly controlling the black mist around him. Many fragnts of mist striving to escape were pulled back, yet a significant portion managed to free itself and continued rushing toward the real Tang Ye!

The mist cascaded above the heads of countless people on the ground. Despite Fake Tang Ye’s desperate roars, those gathered on the ground stretched their arms upward to seize the mist. However, the mist was too high to touch. So attempted to stack themselves into human pyramids in an effort to block the mist’s path to Tang Ye. By the ti their "mountain" was complete, the mist had already left them far behind.

As the black mist reached Tang Ye, he inhaled deeply, and with a sharp sound, the mist ran straight into his body. Tang Ye glanced at his hands, noticing that the peeling skin on his palms had begun to smooth over. At the sa ti, he felt his internal energy increasing, lightening his previously heavy limbs.

After a few seconds, Tang Ye’s lips curled into a faint smile. He murmured softly, "So that’s what’s going on... Heh~."

Glancing back briefly, Tang Ye saw the tentacles erging from Xu Haishui’s body continuing their pursuit. Yet this ti, Tang Ye didn’t bother engaging with them. Instead, he sprinted furiously toward the other version of himself!

The sight provoked the horde of tentacles into furious roars. Their screeches were sharp and anxious, as if they had all suddenly been stepped on, writhing in madness as they charged toward Tang Ye to stop his actions!

Simultaneously, a belated Fake Ah Fu grew increasingly restless, his roar tinged with palpable urgency and panic!

Fake Ah Fu desperately wished to stop Tang Ye’s current actions, but his speed was far too slow, leaving him only able to scream and rage in vain!

As Tang Ye continued closing the distance, the black mist around Fake Tang Ye grew increasingly uncontrollable. It spread outward frenetically, only to be pulled back into him again—not without resistance. Compared to Fake Ah Fu or Xu Haishui, Fake Tang Ye’s emotions were far more intense. His arms swung wildly, as though rejecting sothing unseen.
