"Perhaps only by trying will we know."

Tang Ye murmured to himself in his heart, then quietly waited. Ti quickly slipped away unknowingly, and when Tang Ye checked his phone again, it was already 5:11 PM.

"Hm?"

Tang Ye was sowhat surprised. He looked up at the sky; it was already dark outside, and it was now evening. His previous two visits had been around this ti, and even if there was a slight difference, it was not by much.

After taking a deep breath, he slled that Dairya’s family was still quite a distance from him. Logically, Dairya’s family should be preparing dinner at this ti, and Bick was doing sothing downstairs. But now that Dairya’s family was so far away, it could only an one thing: the tiline had changed.

In that mont, Tang Ye seed to understand Su Sigui, the chain reaction where a single thought could affect subsequent events, diminishing the control one has over certain things, ultimately leading to a sense of crisis and unease.

"Outsiders..."

He repeated these words, then closed his eyes to ditate, sitting on the sofa and continuing to wait patiently.

Soon, at 5:37 PM, a gunshot suddenly sounded from outside, causing Tang Ye to open his eyes wide, while his nose detected that Dairya’s family of five was not far from him. Besides them, Tang Ye also slled two other people. After a whisk through his mory, Tang Ye imdiately recognized the scents as those of the two ard robbers.

They were chasing Dairya’s family!

Approaching the window, Tang Ye tore off a part of the paper pasted on the glass and looked outside. In the desolate streets, he saw Ariana clutching her youngest son, running swiftly. She was only a few ters away from the residential building where her family lived, but she didn’t enter it imdiately. Instead, she circled around the building, panting heavily but not daring to stop, while her eldest daughter followed closely behind. As for Bick, although Tang Ye did not see him, his scent was nearby, struggling with one of the ard robbers, Zhou Xuan, who had Dairya by his side. However, his situation was not looking good, as the other robber had quickly lost track of Ariana and was moving closer to his accomplice.

"Bang bang bang!" Gunshots continuously erupted, filling the night sky over Camberlite with murderous intent.

"It seems to be almost as I expected."

Taking out his phone again, the ti now showed 5:54 PM. At this ti, seven soldiers should have been breaking into the place where Dairya’s family lived. However, this ti those seven soldiers were preemptively killed by Tang Ye. They might not be coming, but the two other ard robbers were here.

Is this the crisis for Dairya’s family? Maybe not, but it is a part of Dairya’s mory, which he might recreate, her nightmare. He felt so worry in his heart because no one knew what would happen next from his actions.

After he put his phone away, a bloody long knife suddenly appeared in his left hand!

Bang!

Another gunshot rang out, and the next second, followed by the sound of a bullet hitting the wall, Tang Ye had already stepped out the door with the long knife in hand and ran downstairs directly towards where Bick was.

...

"Dairya! Dairya! Listen carefully! Over there, when we get to that place ahead, dad will put you down, don’t look back, run towards ho! Do you understand?"

On the other side, Bick, who was madly running with Dairya in his arms, shouted. The sudden rush of distance turned his face extrely red, and each breath felt painfully hot in his lungs, but he couldn’t care about that. Compared to this pain, death was what he absolutely could not accept!

But whether Dairya understood his words or not was unclear, her face remained expressionless throughout, making Bick quite anxious, forcing him to repeat himself.

"Do you understand? When we get up ahead, it’s that intersection you used to frequent, got it? I’ll let you off there! Dairya... Dairya... Do you understand?"

Dairya held in his arms remained expressionless and emotionless, her eyes devoid of color, like a soul had been sucked out or a robot unplugged.

Another gunshot rang out from behind, causing Bick to quickly duck, while two robbers’ voices shouted from behind, incessantly demanding they stop.

Just as their sentences took a pause for a second, Bick turned back and cursed in the local language, causing the gunfire from behind to beco even more urgent.

"We’re almost there, you must do as I said, you understand, Dairya!"

Soon, Bick could see the intersection ahead, his expression increasingly anxious, but before he could reach his destination, a figure appeared in front of him!

Bick was montarily stunned, then recognized it was Tang Ye!

"Young man from China, don’t be foolish, they have guns behind us!"

However, Tang Ye evidently did not heed his words; rather than hiding, he walked straight towards Bick. When Bick ca closer, he realized that Tang Ye was holding a nearly two-ter long blood-red sword in his hand!

"You..."

Just when he wanted to continue warning him, his words stuck in his throat, and in the next second, there was a gunshot, and this ti, Bick wasn’t so lucky. A bullet whistled into the back of his neck, bursting out just below his Adam’s apple, and the blood shot out in a line through the air!

"Ah..."

He instinctively let out a scream. Initially, he only felt like sothing was missing from his neck, then ca an unbearable sharp pain, causing him to stagger a few steps, and then he collapsed on the ground with a "bang," and Dairya he was holding fell out.

Tang Ye silently watched everything unfold. Bick quickly stopped breathing after he fell, while Dairya, unusually calm after hitting the ground, slowly sat up. The fall had left her cheek bloody and flesh mangled, yet she seed unfazed by the pain, tilting her head to look at Tang Ye.

Across from him, two n wielding guns were walking towards him, their gun barrels pointed at Tang Ye, shouting sothing, and upon seeing Tang Ye unresponsive, they lost patience and opened fire!

Bang, bang!

With two gunshots, the bullets quickly approached Tang Ye, but in his eyes, the bullets moved very, very slowly!

"Ah??"

The robbers who had just fired the two shots hadn’t seen if the bullets hit Tang Ye, they only felt a blur before their eyes, and then felt a tightening sensation at the back of their necks! Looking back, Tang Ye had already sohow appeared behind them!

The two n’s eyes filled with horror, and in their panic, they fired wildly, but the next second, a blood-red blade pierced through their bodies, one each, and both n fell to the ground like dead dogs, motionless.
