Tang Ye’s eyes rolled around, and he thought to himself that this scene reminded him of when he was in his teens and he saw a roadside car accident. A so-called knight riding a motorcycle at full speed, then suddenly a van erged from the passing lane. The so-called knight couldn’t brake in ti and crashed headfirst into it, ending up with fractures all over his body, continuously vomiting blood, the area was in total havoc, but while he was absolutely terrified, he couldn’t help but let his curiosity drive him to join the onlookers.

But now, in a post-apocalyptic world, such scenes could be said to be trivial and would not cause any psychological shadow. In fact, he felt such scenes were sowhat boring.

"Little brother, I slept right next to those two yesterday. I didn’t even know how they died; I just woke up this morning... Oh my god, they died in such a horrible way!"

Seeing Tang Ye curious about how Lu Xin and the other person died, a middle-aged uncle nearby spoke up. Tang Ye then looked at him; he seed to rember this man. Yesterday, when he was walking toward Little Ru, this fellow had been sleeping by the tombstone located one plot to the left beneath Lu Xin. He rembered that this person seed to have woken up halfway through but didn’t open his eyes.

"You didn’t see how they ended up like this?" Tang Ye asked.

"I didn’t see anything, I didn’t even hear a sound. When I woke up, I was covered in blood." The middle-aged uncle said as he pushed his way through the crowd to show Tang Ye his clothes. He was wearing a short-sleeved shirt with not much blood on it, just so faint bloodstains that seed to have perated through. In his hands, he had a coat, originally military green, with parts stained black with soone else’s blood.

Tang Ye glanced at it and then looked back at the middle-aged uncle, asking, "Did you hear any noises last night?"

"Noises?" This question from Tang Ye made the middle-aged uncle pause, thinking for a while before shaking his head: "I didn’t hear anything."

"You didn’t hear... even their voices speaking?"

"The two young people who died?"

"Yes, that’s right."

"No, I didn’t?"

Confusion still sat on the middle-aged uncle’s face; he even doubted that Tang Ye was talking about the sa thing!

"Hey, young man, what exactly do you an? I don’t quite understand what you’re saying."

"It’s nothing, just asking casually." Seeing that the middle-aged uncle really hadn’t heard anything last night, Tang Ye didn’t press further. However, this did not make him question the reality of his experiences from yesterday. On the contrary, he beca more certain that everything he went through was real!

But this world had been altered in so ways!

The chaotic crowd at the scene, those who saw the gathering were initially uninterested but joined the commotion out of curiosity, turning the Martyrs’ Cetery, which should have been peaceful, into a marketplace. So were indifferent, so were smiling and chatting with their neighbors, so left after receiving a phone call, so tried to glimpse the death state of the two bodies, but the next second, they were shoved by people in black coats, nearly stumbling to the ground.

The people in black coats were not courteous to the onlookers at all; anyone who dared to get too close would get a light shove at best. Tang Ye even saw so of them pick up steel pipes from nearby construction sites and swing them at people’s heads, splattering blood. Oddly enough, those who were hit by the black coats didn’t dare get angry; they hurried away, and it seed like everyone had the sa silent agreent.

"How did it happen after all? The way you all talk has made curious too."

"I know you want to look, ask them if they agree first."

"Don’t look, I’ve seen it. It’s really tragic, tsk... ah!"

"What exactly happened?"

Tang Ye looked around. The people were all talking, and their responses to those curious about the body’s condition were all about how tragic it was, but they didn’t describe it much, and Tang Ye himself couldn’t just listen to them chat. Don’t forget, he himself was one of those not bound by the rules!

He stepped forward, pushed through the crowd towards the two bodies. The n in black coats guardedly watched Tang Ye make his way through and picked up their weapons to drive him back, but the next second, all black coats and even the surrounding people trembled, as if suddenly they couldn’t see Tang Ye, all stunned for a mont. A few holding batons looked at each other confused, then shrugged their shoulders and returned to their positions.

Tang Ye thus in the presence of the public ca to the two bodies, brazenly lifted the white sheet covering one of them, and the body underneath was fully exposed in front of him. How should it be said, the state of the body was indeed as people said, truly a tragic death!

Other than the two legs where the shape was discernible, from four centiters above the lower leg and upwards was completely muddied. Since it had been processed by the black coats, the muddy flesh was spread out on the stretcher; one couldn’t even tell where the head, the limbs, or any parts of the torso were. Most chillingly, among the pile of ruined flesh, there was a piece of long hair attached to a large chunk of scalp, placed on top of the muddled flesh by the black coats, as if it had been scalded with boiling water then violently torn off!

And seeing this long hair, Tang Ye knew that this body was Little Ru’s.

Blood continued to seep out from the pile of muddled flesh, staining the bottom step of the stretcher a bright red color. Broken bone fragnts were attached to sinews of flesh, which if not looked at carefully, would appear to be wriggling.

To be honest, for Tang Ye, the state of Little Ru’s death was hundreds of tis more tragic than that of the man in the hotel!

"Rest in peace. Maybe it’s because of , but I can only say I’m sorry to you, I don’t have the ability to bring you back to life."

Tang Ye frowned, silently mourning the grotesque body, then covered it with the white sheet, and went to inspect another body. Compared to Little Ru’s state, which was completely mangled, Lu Xin’s body was relatively intact, similar to the man’s, but there was a hole in his abdon, about the size of a common ashtray, hollow and littered with splinters of bone and organs.

After a while, Tang Ye covered the body with the sheet, silen
