As Tang Ye was observing the old man, the man slowly and shakily stood up from the sofa and walked towards a nearby cabinet where a teapot was placed. Despite the short distance of less than five or six ters, every step he took seed incredibly heavy for the old man.

However, the fact that he dared to move around during the restricted hours showed that this old man was no ordinary person.

"Everything written in the regulations must be fake..." Tang Ye thought to himself, but soon he was confused again. He seed to have thought of sothing, but then that feeling ca back.

"Is this world normal?"

Out of nowhere, he recalled the content of the nineteenth regulation, shook his head, and knew that insisting on it would only waste his ti, so he decisively gave up.

Arriving at the door of the house, he knocked and intentionally asked aloud, "Hello? Is anyone there?"

The sound of his fingers tapping on the door echoed in the silent night for a long ti. Tang Ye also waited for a while, but there was no response inside, not to ntion the door opening.

"Hmm? Didn’t hear it?" He frowned, thinking that the old man inside might not have heard the door knock or his voice, so he knocked again.

Knock, knock, knock~

"Is anyone there? Can you open the door?"

After a while, the door still didn’t open, and Tang Ye beca a bit annoyed. He went to the window and looked inside. The light inside wasn’t turned off, and the old man was still sitting on the sofa in front of the TV, his eyes opening and closing, looking drowsy.

He wasn’t asleep, but when soone knocks on the door, shouldn’t at least respond by opening the door? It’s a matter of politeness!

Tang Ye raised his hand and tapped on the window glass, but the old man inside remained drowsy, just as before, ignoring the sounds coming from the window glass.

Tang Ye frowned and thought to himself: "Could he be deaf?" With that thought, he tapped on the window glass a couple more tis, watching the old man’s expression, which remained unchanged; he seed to genuinely be deaf.

It might even be worse; he could be both blind and deaf. Of course, Tang Ye didn’t an to insult the old man, but the window was not small, and even though the TV blocked so of the view, a grown man standing in front of the window should be noticeable to anyone who can see. Although the old man’s eyes seed small when he opened them due to his drowsy state, Tang Ye could see the turbidness in his eyes.

Seeing that the old man continued to ignore him, Tang Ye gave up. However, it seed that there was sothing to the regulation after all, and it was very likely that nothing would happen. People had been deceived, but if nothing was going to happen, then what was the point? How the Nightmare Zombie King was going to deal with him indeed seed troubleso.

In this situation, no event occurring could be more terrifying than direct confrontation. There’s a saying, "Not afraid of the enemy who confronts you face to face, but beware of the backstabbing smiling tiger."

In this fake world, Tang Ye felt that the Nightmare Zombie King was exactly such an enemy.

Looking into the distance at the people lying next to tombstones for the night, Tang Ye was about to leave, but suddenly, he saw soone sit up, imdiately catching his attention!

A young girl who had already been peacefully asleep seed to be woken up by a nightmare, her forehead covered in cold sweat. After sitting up abruptly and looking around, her face grew even more terrified than before.

"I..."

She tilted her head; Tang Ye seed to recognize this girl. Soon, he rembered; she was the young woman he had t at the zoo during the day, next to her, her boyfriend.

Shifting his gaze, he looked at the man inside the hotel; the man seed unable to sleep after seeing him, constantly scrolling through his phone and looking around vigilantly, but everything seed normal and nothing out of place.

The girl who had just been startled looked left and right, finally gazing at her boyfriend, seemingly contemplating whether to wake him up. However, she hadn’t made up her mind when she saw a man walking toward her, her heart suddenly jumping to her throat. The man was dressed in a black suit, walking in the darkness as if rging his whole body with the surrounding environnt, his eyes seemingly emitting a strange red glow, like a ferocious beast choosing its prey.

"You... you are..." The girl asked in terror to the man walking towards her, but before she could finish her sentence, she recognized what the man looked like. A brief mory flashed through her mind; she rembered encountering that strange man at the zoo today. Wasn’t this Tang Ye?

"Don’t co over... is it you? What are you doing here? Are you following us? You... don’t ss around! My boyfriend is right next to ! No..."

"Who’s following you? I just happened to be passing by and saw you wake up, so I wanted to ask about it." Tang Ye looked at the girl, bewildered by her panicked yet sowhat expectant expression. But who would be sick enough to follow this young couple?

It was purely a coincidence to et here.

"Huh?"

"You didn’t find a place to stay either? Did you co here too?" The girl glanced at her boyfriend, seemingly just coming back to her senses, then asked.

"I have a place, I booked a room at a hotel for a month."

"By the way, what ti is it?" the girl asked, but before Tang Ye could answer, she pulled out her phone on her own, looking up at him. Upon seeing the ti, 1:32, her face imdiately filled with despair.

"What’s wrong?" Tang Ye squinted and asked.

"I woke up during the restricted hours. I’m dood!"

"Dood? What kind of dood?"

"Death! I will die!"

"Will you die? If it’s just that simple... When does the restricted period end?"

"It starts at 9:10 PM and ends the next day at 6:00 AM."

"So if you suddenly wake up during the restricted hours, is that also a violation?"

"Yes." The girl answered chanically, her eyes dull, seemingly unwilling to believe the fact. From her eyes, Tang Ye saw the fear of death, which was so real. This expression was the most perfect and the most profound in this world. The Nightmare Zombie King seed to understand the emotions people faced with death very well.

"Wait a minute... You have a place to stay? Then... then why are you here? Did you also have a nightmare?" More than ten seconds later, the girl finally seed to have fully regained her composure, but in Tang Ye’s eyes, the expression on her face seed a bit strange.

But Tang Ye replied, "No, honestly, I haven’t slept at all. I just wanted to see what would happen if anyone broke the regulation."
