The corridor wall was lined with paintings, while the opposite side had none. Tang Ye walked towards the largest painting on the right, observing the details of the painting.

A giant wearing a white robe had long hair and a thick beard, resembling a typical foreign man. It was such a man that Tang Ye found sowhat familiar. He rembered watching a video by a YouTuber before the Apocalypse, discussing the commonalities between Chinese and Western civilizations, which included a painting. The man in that painting bore so resemblance to the white-robed giant in this one.

"Jesus? Doesn’t seem like it..."

"Is it so kind of God of all the Earth... God? It seems his surna was also Jesus..."

Due to sothing affecting his thinking, Tang Ye couldn’t recall who the white-robed giant in the painting was after a long while. Aside from feeling sowhat eerie, there didn’t seem to be anything particularly strange about the painting’s content, but this completely different painting made Tang Ye realize that he was not on the sa floor as where he had been before.

It also seed like he was in a basent because there was no sign of sunlight, and he couldn’t see any windows at the end of the corridor on the other side.

He reached the fire door at the stairwell entrance, attempting to exit the building via the staircase, but upon opening the door, it was pitch black outside, not due to the absence of light, but purely because of darkness so deep that nothing else was visible!

He reached his hand out, and his fingers were quickly engulfed by the "darkness" behind the fire door.

"There’s sothing strange here."

Sighing, Tang Ye stepped forward into the darkness, his entire body swallowed by the utter blackness.

His vision too was consud by the darkness, nothing but black as if he had closed his eyes, no longer able to see anything of the outside world.

"Here it cos again."

Once he entered this "darkness," all he could see was one thing before his eyes – black!

Tang Ye extended one hand, walking forward while feeling around, but he couldn’t touch what he was trying to find.

It seed that behind the fire door was not a staircase after all.

Realizing this, Tang Ye simply turned around and groped his way back, soon erging from the total darkness behind the fire door, seeing the painting right in front of him.

He glanced again at the painting at the end of the corridor toward the stairwell, depicting a large hand thrusting a cross into the ground, with dirt being splattered around, clearly portrayed.

"Eh?" At that mont, Tang Ye felt his thoughts briefly pierce through so barrier, grasping an idea he wanted to think about.

"Why not just smash it open?"

Looking around, Tang Ye eventually chose to start smashing from the other side, and then subconsciously walked towards the right. However, after a short walk, he stopped again, looked at the wall lined with paintings on his left, and murmured, "Why do I have to walk on this side?"

After saying this, Tang Ye directly leaned towards the right, brushing closely past the paintings, seemingly intentionally defying so existing will.

As he rubbed against the wall, the putty powder constantly fell off, and the paintings he touched clattered down, this seemingly pointless destruction brought Tang Ye a trace of satisfaction. However, soon, he stopped again, looking at his right shoulder, narrowing his eyes, then he stepped back, and the flattened part of his clothing on his right shoulder slowly started to rise, and part of it even pierced into the wall.

In that instant, Tang Ye’s mind suddenly beca clear, understanding why he had felt so strange before!

Sothing had been watching him, an ability sowhat sinister. When he saw that door next to his room, he should have used his senses to check what exactly was going on. There were also no corners in the floor he was on, let alone in this building used as a dormitory, each floor had no corners!

And the paintings lined up on one wall didn’t exist at all!

He had been influenced by sothing, believing that those paintings, that corner, and the door in the corner had always existed!

When engulfed in such a sensation, he had no idea what he should do; it was like being in a dream. Normally, you would have entered society, but in the dream, you found yourself being a high school student again, doing the things you did back then, subconsciously believing you were still a high school student, yet to enter society, only realizing upon waking up that you were far from eighteen.

And dreaming that your family owned sothing quite amazing, believing it was always yours, and not caring about it, until everything returned to reality upon waking up.

"Where am I now?"

Upon coming to his senses, the first thing Tang Ye did was ponder this question, but he didn’t dwell on it much. What was most important now was to catch that ghostly thing!

He reached out, and his fingers effortlessly pierced into the wall. Having touched nothing and sure that part of the wall was rely an illusion, he stepped out with one move.

His body subrged beneath the wall, and the next mont, he appeared in front of the elevator on the first floor, stepping on a floor that was already a complete ss!

"Boss? What’s wrong with you?"

"How did you end up beside ? And you, what’s going on?"

"Didn’t I just go out? How did I co back?"

Tang Ye looked beside him; Li Man, Hu Ji, Chang Jinlun, Yan Jie, Du Lifu, and others all looked puzzled.

"No, we were just hypnotized, but none of us realized it," Chang Jinlun pondered for a mont, then said, though not many believed him; everyone present was Level 8, how could they be hypnotized so silently?

And how did they wake up?

"Hypnosis? When did that happen?"

"I don’t know; it might have started long ago."

"I’ve been playing cards with Chang all along, and I didn’t feel anything strange."

"Stop for a mont." Watching everyone start to talk, Tang Ye shouted and released his senses scanning around.

"Call everyone out; there’s sothing hidden nearby!"

Following Tang Ye’s words, everyone exchanged glances, their expressions growing solemn. Without saying much, they quickly dispersed into different rooms to call their colleagues who were staying indoors.

In a short ti, the front hall of the office building beca lively. Led by Li Man, a group of zombies spread their senses, but they didn’t detect anything unusual, leading to confusion. "Strange."

"Khan, could it be..."

"No need to say, I know what it is."

Tang Ye narrowed his eyes, looking at the building, waved his hand, and shouted, "Tear down this building!"
