Qu Yangming kept shouting like that for a while, but soon, everyone with Tang Ye turned their gaze toward these staff mbers!
After a short while, so of the staff began to convulse, their black pupils covered by a white mist, emitting a hoarse roar as they grabbed a colleague next to them and started to gnaw on them!
"Hey old man, are you out of your mind? Using zombies to fight us?" Li Man couldn’t help but let out a laugh.
It was unclear whether Qu Yangming heard him or not, as he bowed his head, muttering sothing indecipherable, looking utterly bizarre.
Bai Huipeng, Chu Zha, and a few others along with Yan Xing’s group hurried over, pausing in surprise upon seeing the group of staff-turned-zombies tearing at their peers.
"Old Yu, have you seen the mayor?" asked Yan Xing.
"The mayor? No, isn’t she with you guys?"
"No, we don’t know where she went."
"Could she have run into trouble?"
"She won’t be in trouble." Ha Zhen suddenly spoke up, then continued, "She’s on her way here, there’s only that guy left as the remaining Level 8 here."
"That puts at ease."
Right in front, the mont so staff turned into zombies, the scene erupted into chaos. The first zombie staff lashed out its claw at a forr colleague. Soone ran to Tang Ye, knelt down with a thud, and begged in the most humble tone: "Save ! Please save ... I don’t want, I don’t ah want to turn into a zombie!"
"Save ! I beg you, please save..."
His words cut off, the next second his eyes fell out, and tendrils of flesh grew out of his head. With a roar, his gaze swept past Tang Ye, who was very close, and he lunged at Chu Zha standing beside him. But Chu Zha swiftly beheaded him, the headless body falling to the ground.
"How can I save you? Even if I were a god I wouldn’t be able to."
Tang Ye said helplessly. From the mont the first staff mber turned into a zombie, he felt that all the people here... excluding the Level 8 New Human beside him, all the staff’s life-averse substances had begun to assimilate their cells.
As more and more zombies appeared, Qu Yangming seed to regain so sanity but still appeared deranged. He pointed at Tang Ye and shouted again: "Kill them all! Tear them to pieces! Attack!"
Zombies who had turned from the staff roared in unison, but Tang Ye snorted coldly, and all the zombies quieted down, suddenly looking unanimously at Qu Yangming!
He was taken aback, then realizing what happened, his facial expression grew even more distorted!
"Damn it! Damn it! It’s so infuriating! You bunch of traitors! You all deserve to die!"
The angry roars filled the entire space, and he suddenly leapt down from the equipnt, howling as he charged at Tang Ye.
"He doesn’t seem very smart." Bai Huipeng shook his head, his blade circling gracefully, joining the others around him to attack Qu Yangming together!
As the Level 8 Powerhouses clashed down, the zombie horde in the middle disbanded imdiately, crushed together by the powerful air pressure, so of the lower-level zombies’ bodies burst apart!
In the end, when close quarters combat ensued, even though Qu Yangming was a Level 8 New Human, against nine adversaries, he was utterly defenseless. After rely one exchange, Qu Yangming was sent hurtling backward, crashing into several pillars that supported a massive piece of equipnt above, resulting in the giant object tilting sideward with a thunderous crash!
"Damn it! Damn it all! Why won’t you give ti! With ti, I could evolve to Level 9! I would kill you all!"
Qu Yangming struggled to his feet; his body now sported deep craters, with several savage gashes on his back oozing black pus that slowly seeped out.
The recent impact caused him to see double, and his chest felt so tight that he couldn’t breathe. However, his voice grew hoarser, bearing a faint hint of a zombie’s guttural tone.
"You think you can evolve to Level 9 looking like that? Dream on!" Nine Level 8 Powerhouses struck together, nearly instantly rendering Qu Yangming combat-incapable, while they remained fierce and spirited.
Chu Zha snorted disdainfully and swung his weapon, aiming another strike at Qu Yangming. The cold steel traced a long arc, targeting his opponent’s vital spots!
Qu Yangming raised his arms in a futile attempt to block, but in the next second, his face contorted in agony as his exposed heart began thumping violently, causing his veins to bulge alarmingly.
Chu Zha’s thrust pierced straight through Qu Yangming’s arms. He tried to react, but then Chu Zha’s hand, sheathed in a clawed glove, circled around, severing Qu Yangming’s arms into several pieces with the sharp claws!
Having his arms sliced triggered imnse pain which shocked his nerves and brought him back to his senses montarily.
Ah~
Qu Yangming scread miserably as his body flew sideways. Stopping to twist his severed limbs, the expression on his face was nothing but agony. He glared hatefully at Chu Zha and others, roaring, "You forced my hand!"
"Let’s die together!"
He barely stood up from the ground and charged toward the nearest support pillar.
"Take him down!"
On Tang Ye’s side, no one would idly watch their opponent take actions against their interest. Following Yan Xing’s lead, all the Level 8 survivors rushed towards Qu Yangming!
"Li Henian, don’t just stand there, stop him!"
Suddenly, Su Sigui’s voice rang out from afar, urgency written across her face, which made Tang Ye feel a bit uneasy. But before he could react, Su Sigui had already darted past him, charging straight at Qu Yangming!
Tang Ye also made his move imdiately, but he dared not use those inhuman abilities unique to zombies in front of Su Sigui and others—only more conventional thods.
Trailing a blood-colored blade, he instantly surpassed the swiftly-moving Su Sigui and cleaved at Qu Yangming!
This slash unleashed a whirlwind like none before, tearing grueso gashes into the ground and ripping endlessly forward!
Under the overhead lights, the entire space was filled with a murky blood hue!
The glow from this slash appeared and vanished in everyone’s pupils; Qu Yangming was split in two, decapitated mid-fall, and lay motionless on the ground—only his heart still beating powerfully!
Tang Ye had no idea what Su Sigui planned to do; his slash was instinctive, without deliberate control over the power. The stroke not only dispatched Qu Yangming but also tore the adjacent wall, leaving a deep chasm in the space beyond!
