Jiema’s mories started from when he was a Level 6, though it had only been four years. Since his birth, he had never seen anyone daring enough to challenge a Level 8 New Human across a gap of two or three levels.

And those Japanese, the highest among them were only Level 6 New Humans, rely three of them, and the rest were all Level 5—daring to surround a Level 8 New Human, what were they thinking?

A desperate final struggle? In such a scenario, the fishes would utterly rot, and the net wouldn’t even lose a single thread!

About a dozen n in black thus surrounded the Level 8 New Human, taking him on in a many-against-one situation, yet there was no trace of fear on his face; instead, he almost burst out laughing.

"Are you kidding , just you guys? Just your rotten fish and shrimps? A bunch of squirts! With you? What do you want? To kill , or just to stop ? Hmm? Hahaha!"

His mouth split into a wild, unrivaled laugh. The n in black exchanged glances, their eyes filled with a resolve to die if necessary, when one of the Level 6 New Humans bellowed, his voice hoarse as he raised his katana high and brought it slashing down!

The sharp katana blade drew a brilliant cold light through the air, and the others swung their katanas as well, their eyes equally resolute as they struck fiercely!

At that mont, the Level 8 New Human’s mocking laughter stopped. His face instantly turned icy. In his eyes, this group looked utterly ridiculous. They were like ants crawling on the ground—perhaps only children would find their antics curious and amusing. He, on the other hand, was an adult, his eyes only focusing on interests at his own level. Those ants were simply incapable of drawing his attention.

To the ants, his disregard was their greatest fortune, yet these ants dared to swing their swords at him?

Ants were humans, and to them, he was a god. There was fundantally no reason for them to interact—yet now, the ants were courting death, and being human did not an being kind-hearted. Naturally, anger arose.

Over ten Japanese warriors unsheathed their katanas at that mont, their exoskeleton suits beginning to cover their bodies entirely!

Facing life and death, the slender, slightly curved blade with a hint of artistry grew progressively larger in their view, the sneer on the face transforming into a terrifying intent to kill!

In the next second, no one knew exactly what happened, but Jiema and Chang Jinlun only saw a storm expanding outwards, sweeping through the surroundings. Those dozen Japanese warriors were flung outwards, and the buildings around them were engulfed in this storm. Nearly three kiloters in radius turned into wasteland, countless innocent lives shredded by this storm!

And of those Japanese warriors, only five managed to stand up once again.

"Cough, cough..."

Everyone coughed up blood, their exoskeleton suits cracked all over. It was hard to imagine that just seconds before they had been pristine, comparable to the Aurora Breather suits, passionately crafted by the Japanese based on partial designs of the Aurora Breather, called Sunset Suits.

Yet, even these A-level exoskeleton suits were so fragile when facing a Level 8 New Human.

"Ugh...ah!"

The Japanese warrior nearest to the Level 8 Powerhouse roared as he stood up, facing his opponent with frenzy on his face. His gaze fixed on the other, he rasped out a phrase in his own language, "In death! We decide our resolve! We are one of them!"

"Ha, it’s that kind of trash talk I hate the most!"

The Level 8 New Human twisted his neck, glanced at his left hand where the injury had partially healed. The areas that had previously revealed bare bone were now covered with thick flesh. He shook his hand, the pain had significantly lessened. He looked at the few remaining, dismissing the situation as trivial!

With a bend of his knees, trendous power erupted from beneath his feet, the ground "crackling" with nurous fissures. In the next second, his figure vanished from the spot. The remaining five Japanese warriors didn’t even have the chance to see his form before their Sunset battle suits shattered into innurable pieces, and their bodies, hidden within, burst into blood mist under the impact of the Level 8 New Human, scattering around the debris.

After resolving everything, he scanned the area, ensuring no one had survived. He then shook his head and muttered to himself, "Sotis, I actually admire this kind of spirit in you, even though I really dislike you. But, this doesn’t look like your doing. That woman doesn’t seem to be one of the Japanese. Why then are you helping her?"

He could tell that the real aim of these Japanese warriors wasn’t to kill him but to buy so ti—a re seven or eight seconds. Yet, these madn did not hesitate to sacrifice their lives, more than a dozen lives, just for those few seconds, all to allow that woman to get further away.

He shook his head, perhaps nowadays all of humanity lacks the kind of spirit possessed by the Japanese to face life and death. But humans are creatures that adapt to their environnt; even though many have seen the external threats to all humanity, under the grand sche of things, even he could not help but consider his personal interest, because in an environnt like the Cloud Gorge Base if you don’t look out for yourself, you’ll only end up being devoured by others.

It was a necessary evil—after all, nobody wants to be eaten by soone else. Sotis, he thought to himself if soone evolved to Level 9, then such situations would be completely resolved!

However, nobody really wishes for others to evolve to a Level 9 New Human. A Level 9 New Human can only be oneself!

Once a Level 9 New Human appeared, it would be ti for all of humanity to stand united, and also ti for a reshuffle among the other level 8 New Humans. Indeed, the Cloud Gorge Base council, including Chinese and all foreign races involved, all level 8 New Humans had considered the future of this human civilization, but the greatest obstacle wasn’t the zombies, but rather the level 8 Powerhouses themselves!

A Level 9 New Human, with absolute power could shut everyone up, but, all of this is quite ironic.

He did not linger here too long; after dealing with these people, he quickly pursued the direction in which the woman had escaped. However, after running a few steps, he stopped— the woman had successfully escaped.

"Damn!"

Elsewhere, Jiema patted Chang Jinlun’s shoulder and said, "Let’s go."

"Okay."

Chang Jinlun nodded, stood up, and dusted off the dust on his body. At that mont, Chang Jinlun felt sowhat heavy-hearted, as the deaths of those dozen or so Japanese reminded him of a sentence he had recently read in a post.

Humans will always co together at the last mont.

Humanity as a whole hadn’t reached that point yet, but the Japanese had already gotten there. What would co next?
