At first, each of their attacks could force the zombie dragon back dozens of ters or more, but now their strength gradually failed to shake the zombie dragon.
The first Ning Tianlang swung his fists like raindrops, casting multiple illusions in front of him, as if he’d grown more than two hands.
The second Ning Tianlang’s sword, not to ntion the speed at which it was swung, clearly showed a tight sequence of attacks from the fog-like blade light in front of him.
Roar!
At that mont, the zombie dragon suddenly let out a low roar, and the sword embedded in its head plunged deep into the flesh and disappeared. The next second, with a swish, the sword spat out from the zombie dragon’s mouth!
The first Ning Tianlang had no ti to react before the sword struck him squarely in the chest, sending him flying backward, coughing up fresh blood.
The red glow on the zombie dragon’s head intensified, as it lowered its head and looked toward the second Ning Tianlang who was still swinging his sword, then leapt up aiming to land a fatal blow on its head, but the zombie dragon simply tilted its head, dropping Ning Tianlang back to the ground, who instinctively hacked at the zombie dragon’s torso.
Crack!
A piece of scale armor shattered and fell from the zombie dragon’s body.
Crack!
Another strike reversed to the other side, revealing a cracked scale.
"Hah!"
With a low shout, Ning Tianlang thrust forward, but this thrust rely left a dent on the scale armor.
He paused, sowhat in disbelief, suspecting he was dreaming, so he frantically waved his sword, and what happened next left him stunned.
Clack, clatter, bang!
The sound of the blade striking the zombie dragon’s scale armor changed from a sharp clinking to a dull tallic thud.
At that, he stopped his attack, dumbfounded, and looked up to see the zombie dragon’s pair of big eyes also staring at him.
Boom!
A massive tail smashed down, creating a crack over forty ters long on the ground, and the second Ning Tianlang was instantly turned to pulp!
All of this was witnessed by the soldiers on the second wall of defense. The soil continually falling into the crack seed like the hope gradually draining from their hearts.
"Level 7 Order Defenders, are they dead?"
The commander swayed a few tis, watching the enormous zombie dragon, which seed to have grown even larger?
The zombie dragon trampled over the devastated farmland and reached the second defense wall, bringing an instantly suffocating oppressive force. Unconsciously, the soldiers on the wall simultaneously stopped their actions, and the barrage of laser rain also paused.
The soldiers stared blankly at the zombie dragon in front of them; ti seed to have stopped, and the air was filled with a scent nad despair. Losing control of the soldiers, the Zombie God Cult mbers returned, bowing down to the zombie dragon and shouting "Zombie God" in unison.
But soon, the voices of the Zombie God Cult mbers gradually began to thin out, quieting after a while, as the imnse oppressive force emanating from the zombie dragon made them unsure if they would be attacked.
At this ti, from the endless tide of zombies, a figure burst forth, covered in pus and blood from the zombies. He looked at the zombie dragon in the farmland area, a hint of surprise on his face.
"Holy shit, is it that badass?"
Song Muyuan let out a breath of relief and checked his body, now sared with the filthy blood of zombies. At a glance, one might even mistake him for a zombie.
"Should be about right?"
Standing on tiptoes, Song Muyuan could only see the towering body of the zombie dragon but not most of the farmland area of Cloud Gorge Base. So, he climbed onto the body of a Level 4 zombie and looked toward the main gate of the first corpse defense wall, only to see that the once pleasing golden fields had turned into a polluted black.
Moreover, on the other side, groups of zombies were still rampantly destroying the intact fields.
"That’s enough, that’s enough."
Song Muyuan nodded silently and dispersed his spiritual consciousness.
The zombie dragon moved as well, glanced back without aning to, and swept over where Song Muyuan was. It could resist Song Muyuan’s spiritual control, but it chose not to.
Then, its gaze moved beyond the soldiers on the second defensive wall to the people behind them. Among them were mbers of the Zombie God Cult and ordinary civilians whose eyes had turned ash gray. So even pulled out their phones and started recording, ready to capture their final monts before death for those not present to witness this monstrous dragon that could wreak havoc.
The zombie dragon just looked around like this, and the next second, it exhaled two streams of white air from its nostrils. The soldiers in front hadn’t reacted before being blasted away by these gusts.
After doing all this, the zombie dragon turned around, a surge of powerful spiritual energy instantly enveloped the whole area, and the bodies of all the zombies shuddered before retreating together with the zombie dragon.
This made the soldiers’ faces turn incredibly expressive, while the civilians behind, including the dumbstruck mbers of the Zombie God Cult, were left bewildered.
But soon, the sight of the retreating zombie horde drove them mad, seemingly having realized sothing.
Was the retreat of the zombie horde because of them?
The atmosphere briefly solidified, then quickly one mber of the Zombie God Cult raised an arm, his face uncontrollably manic.
"Zombie God!" he bellowed, and that shout, like a domino effect, caused all subsequent dominos to topple after the first.
The next second, hundreds of people shouted together.
"Zombie God!"
Imdiately afterward, other mbers of the Zombie God Cult also reacted and began raising their hands and shouting, "Zombie God!"
"Zombie God! Zombie God!! Zombie God!"
Shout after shout shook the heavens, and amid the near-complete loss of sanity by the mbers of the Zombie God Cult, the massive dense zombie horde slowly receded, leaving behind a farmland riddled with scars.
They believed the retreat of the zombies was triggered by them, and they thought they rightfully deserved the credit for it!
Their revered Zombie God was protecting them!
The soldiers didn’t stop the Zombie God Cult mbers. A Level 7 zombie dragon, theoretically invincible, could not likely be overco by any forces arranged by that mysterious organization behind Cloud Gorge Base, not even with nurous Corps of Order mbers. With the natural bloodthirst of zombies, it should have led the horde to break through Cloud Gorge Base’s defenses and massacre wildly within. Although Cloud Gorge Base could kill this zombie dragon, it would co at a trendously high cost.
Unexpectedly though, the zombie dragon had retreated, and on the surface, it seed indeed like the rit of the Zombie God Cult.
