Dense tentacles collided violently with the magma-ford pillar of light, sending flas spreading in all directions instantly, with a sizzling noise piercing the ears of the zombies on both ends.
And the flas seed to be the nesis of the mutants. After the impact between Xu Haishui’s tentacles and the magma pillar expelled from Ah Fu’s mouth, those colorful tentacles resembling intestines imdiately lost their firepower as if they had been sprinkled with salt on leeches, sagging instantly.
The dense tentacles were quickly forced back by the flas, each one gradually turning into bits of black ash under the erosion of the magma and falling to the ground. The imposing presence of the magma and fire pillar quickly pushed back the tentacles occupying almost the entire street, there was no doubt about it.
The surrounding Building Ruins quickly reddened under the roasting flas, then liquified. The temperature in the air at the scene reached unprecedented highs!
Seeing sothing was amiss, Xu Haishui hurriedly retracted his tentacles. But with just that movent, the impact point of the magma pillar spread even larger and faster. All at once, the street, previously occupied by Xu Haishui’s tentacles, was taken over by flas. The flas spread not only toward Xu, but also toward Ah Fu.
Xu Haishui started to run back, while Ah Fu ran forward, utterly fearless of the flas.
On the street, what was once just pavent had turned into a sea of fire. Ah Fu, amidst these flas, his whole body enveloped in fire, left footprints on the charred red ground with every step. The concrete road was transforming into liquid due to the high temperatures, and even people beyond the distant defensive line could feel the undeniable heat in the air, sweat beading on their foreheads.
"Wow, how did it suddenly get so hot?"
"Quick, look over there, it seems like there’s a fire."
In the distance, soldiers moved back and forth, pulling apart the equipnt forming the defense line. Within the defense line, the large fire caused by Ah Fu continuously devoured its surroundings, producing large volus of thick smoke that rose into the air, quickly drawing people’s attention to him.
Ah Fu walked amidst the flas. At that mont, he beca the embodint of fire, his body slowly revealing its true form, his horns on his head glowing red-hot due to the scorching flas, as if he were a great demon that had crawled out of hell.
But inside the flas, these flas did not at all obstruct Ah Fu’s vision. Ahead, Xu Haishui’s running figure was clearly visible.
"You can’t run away," Ah Fu said, satisfied, feeling he had maintained his dignity. But soon, his brow furrowed. Xu Haishui’s running direction was toward the nearest defense line; he was trying to escape!
Almost instantly, Ah Fu realized what Xu Haishui intended to do. The magma pillar he had just expelled had destroyed a huge number of Xu’s attacking tentacles. Even if Xu had strong abilities, these tentacles were still a part of Xu’s body. The sudden large-scale destruction of them, even as a Level 7 zombie, Xu might not be able to withstand such a loss. Why was he heading toward the defense line?
The reason was clear: he saw that there were many people there. By consuming living beings, a zombie could recover energy and continue fighting.
However, Ah Fu would not allow it. He imdiately picked up the pace and chased after Xu Haishui.
Xu Haishui saw that Ah Fu was chasing him. He turned and looked at the figure in the flas with bloodshot eyes before leaping up and hurrying downwards, his body tilted as if running against gravity on the wall. Doing this ant he had to use more strength, and at the sa ti, his speed would decrease—an act that, in Ah Fu’s opinion, was utterly stupid!
But soon, Ah Fu realized he was wrong. He had just passed the area where Xu Haishui had been when suddenly, a tentacle from the nearby Building Ruins lashed out at him.
"Little trick!" Ah Fu, unimpressed, reached out and grabbed the tentacle whipping toward him and pulled. The already crumbling Building Ruins were completely uprooted by Ah Fu in an instant!
However, the next second, another tentacle struck. Ah Fu, caught off guard by the second tentacle, was flung back, and due to Ah Fu’s evolutionary path, his speed was sowhat slower compared to Xu Haishui. With this lashing, the distance between him and Xu Haishui widened even further.
"No!" Ah Fu bellowed furiously as he watched Xu Haishui get farther away.
At that mont, a distant sandstorm suddenly started moving toward them. At that instant, people felt as if the sky above darkened, and as the sandstorm passed, everything in its path flattened. In many eyes, the massive sandstorm moved, leaving only broken remnants of buildings being crushed into grains by an invisible yet fatally powerful force, then swept up into the sky.
Now, this sandstorm was heading toward the fire.
"It’s the boss!" Ah Fu noticed the movent of the sandstorm and glead with joy. He knew Xu Haishui couldn’t hide, and, as expected, the delirious Xu Haishui ca to a halt as he felt all the vital energy of the sandstorm lock onto him!
Even in his madness, his ability to think was still intact, and he could certainly sense a presence within the sandstorm that made his heart tremble!
Xu Haishui stopped. The sandstorm continued to move toward him, and behind him, a large figure was gradually closing in.
Then, when Ah Fu was still about ten ters away, he stopped, flanked by the approaching forces on both sides. The sandstorm also halted, its dark central mass like an eye fixating on him, sending chills down his spine, despite him not being human.
At this mont, Xu Haishui didn’t know what to do next. He dared not move as the sandstorm continued to send threatening vibes toward him.
He looked around, appearing sowhat bewildered, unsure of which side to defend. But instinctively, he felt the sandstorm before him posed the greater threat, so he could only stare intently at it, bracing for any sudden move from within.
But he wasn’t sure if he could react in ti if the entity inside decided to strike at any mont.
Just then, Xu Haishui felt a sharp pain in his head—a jumble of mories too chaotic to describe rushed crazily into his mind like waves!
