"Mayor Su, it seems you didn’t expect the topic of discussion these youngsters are going on about. Everyone has their own expectations in life, and what’s the point of living without any? There are all sorts of expectations, like short-term goals, for example. But you seem even more downcast than this old man. Don’t get wrong, I don’t an anything by it; I’m just an old man who’s a bit curious—what is it that you’re most looking forward to?"

Su Sigui was clearly taken aback, obviously caught off guard by Ye Changgong’s sudden question.

However, she soon realized why Ye Changgong had asked this question. When she had first entered the Cloud Gorge Base, this old man was the first high-ranking individual to find her and insist on a serious discussion. Without any specific reason, other than not understanding so of her actions and with no deep hatred, the old man had shalessly cozied up to her.

And Su Sigui knew that this old man would control the great powers of the Cloud Gorge Base for a considerable ti in the future. Perhaps with the hope that he might join her on the sa path without any loss, Su Sigui shared so of the future events, including those about the Six Zombie Kings.

As for Ye Changgong’s confusion, Su Sigui didn’t explain; she simply gave him a look to ponder on his own.

Whether he believed her or not was no longer Su Sigui’s concern—believe it or not.

After a mont of silence, Su Sigui straightened up, looked into Ye Changgong’s eyes for a while, and then said, "Sothing I’m looking forward to? Hmm... indeed, there is. However, I’m afraid to say it, you might not be able to accept it."

Her words, conversely, piqued everyone’s curiosity.

"What is it?"

"Yes, tell us?"

In the conference room, the powerful figures started to discuss among themselves with curiosity. After the atmosphere cald down for a while, everyone looked at Su Sigui.

"The thing I am most looking forward to is the other Zombie Kings coming to China."

Her statent suddenly turned the already quiet conference room even more silent, and for a mont, many faces changed color instantly.

"The other Zombie Kings?"

"From where?"

"Are you saying there’s more than one Zombie King?"

"Mayor Su, you had better clarify what you an," a group of people stood up, demanding answers from Su Sigui.

The way she phrased it was puzzling; whether there was only one Zombie King or not, Su Sigui’s statent on the surface was enough to charge her with a cri against humanity, and yet, no one dared to take rash action.

To these high-ranking individuals’ confusion, Su Sigui just offered them a aningful smile.

After leaving the conference room, Ye Changgong quietly walked up to Su Sigui’s side.

"How many Zombie Kings will there be in the future?" he asked flatly.

Su Sigui didn’t answer right away and instead looked around. Only her own subordinates were nearby, and this old man had dared to approach her alone.

She smiled, understanding that Ye Changgong’s boldness was his way of signaling that he was on her side.

But the words that ca out of his mouth were chilling. What did he an by how many Zombie Kings there will be in the future? Had Ye Changgong figured it out?

However, Su Sigui wasn’t surprised. The world was full of clever people, and Ye Changgong had survived from the warti era to the present—had he not seen his share of intrigue and scheming? Moreover, for soone with great power, a simple investigation would reveal all there is to know about her and her ancestors. In front of him, Su Sigui felt as if she were standing naked, every detail of her exposed at a glance.

Just a few threads of evidence were enough to make soone suspect the anomaly of Su Sigui.

But this was also good. If he could get the old man on his side, Su Sigui’s forthcoming tasks would be much easier to handle. After all, the man’s experience spoke for itself, and with him around, many things could be handled with ease compared to the executive power he possessed at Cloud Gorge Base.

"Six," Su Sigui answered directly.

Ye Changgong glanced at her, fell silent for a while, and then said, "You’re not surprised?"

Su Sigui’s reply had plainly revealed her secret, which was why Ye Changgong was silent. It also well explained why Su Sigui seed to possess a maturity and absolute rationality that did not match her appearance.

"What’s there to be surprised about?" Su Sigui retorted. Ye Changgong was stunned for a mont but quickly smiled and said, "That’s true."

"What will humans be like in the future?"

"Very bad."

"Does that include China?"

"It’s just a matter of ti."

"What can I do?"

"Stir up the waters. Whatever happens, I don’t want to see the Hidden Dragon Association taking any action in South China. I must prevent things that haven’t happened from happening. It’s already bad enough as it is, if it gets any worse..."

Su Sigui’s voice trailed off as she stared into Ye Changgong’s murky eyes.

"No one will be able to save us. People will unite at the last mont, this saying is never a complint but an irony!"

At the last mont, humanity would unite like never before, a thought that sounded inspiring, but why wait until the last mont? Su Sigui was never the type to postpone today’s tasks until tomorrow. She needed a great margin for error, at the very least, a chance for everything.

And this saying, rely an anti-human mockery by one individual, had beco Su Sigui’s greatest crisis. She didn’t want to wait until the last mont because that would also be the last chance. Once lost, humanity would be dood, and everyone, including her, would beco like livestock reared by zombies!

There was a long silence between the two, only the sound of footsteps as they walked, until Su Sigui arrived at the door of the aircraft’s cabin. Ye Changgong finally said, "I will keep this password safe for you. You wouldn’t want a third person to appear, I assu."

"Of course not."

"In the future, if you need my help, just let know. I don’t want to see things get worse either."

"I won’t hesitate."

Su Sigui’s gaze turned toward the video playing on the large building’s screen in front of her. It was no longer the white-haired zombie that was being shown, but another future Zombie King from a different continent.

Despair’s light, Kamutos.

A shapeless Zombie King, nothing but an energy body, leaving desolation wherever it went.

The video did not capture the appearance of this Zombie King, only the land slowly turning into white gravel, the sky filled with dust, and the constant flicker of golden lightning. The videographer had died, leaving the cara equipnt to record all that it saw alone, until the screen went black.

But in the end, Su Sigui saw a piece of reflective fragnt.

"Mirror?"

Muttering these two words in her heart, Su Sigui turned to Ye Changgong and said, "The first thing I need is the original file of this video."

"No problem."
