"Mayor, you..." Seeing that Su Sigui had been silent for a long ti, the subordinate beside him couldn’t help but speak up to remind him. In fact, he was a native of the capital, and after Huachen Jiangtian massively migrated people to Cloud Gorge Base, most people in Cloud Gorge Base were from the capital, and the capital dialect had beco the local language here.

He found it strange that the mayor, who had never been to Cloud Gorge Base or the capital, spoke the authentic capital dialect even more locally than he did.

"It’s nothing, continue the investigation when we go back. If we don’t find anything..." Su Sigui shook his head, his eyes showing a solemn expression.

It was probably because of Li Henian that she temporarily put aside her concerns about the White-haired Zombie King, but for the other Zombie Kings, that was another matter.

And Li Henian had a direct contact with the Zombie Kings. Now, the Peace Party had killed the president of the Central District’s rcenary Guild. And what was that president? Su Sigui certainly knew who he was.

Before the Apocalypse, he was one of the old monsters from the four major Chinese families, a figure whose stomping foot could shake China three tis!

Given Li Henian’s ruthlessness, it was absolutely impossible for him to let the old master of the Nangong Family live. Moreover, according to the story, Li Henian indeed killed Nangong Ming. Thus, the Peace Party had a grudge with the Dragon Group, and it was inevitable that the Dragon Group would act against the Peace Party. However, in the past, the Dragon Group did not have the chance to act against the Peace Party. This was all because of Gao Shunan; this guy muddied the waters of Cloud Gorge Base, although he was later executed.

But Dragon Group and the Court’s two major powers decoded the four major families mbers were neatly dealt with by Ning Tianlang. Now, the most troubling thing is that three of the four lords of Dragon Group are dead, and Ning Tianlang is also dead, although it seems very likely that Ning Tianlang was the man behind Dragon Group and the Court.

But unfortunately, Su Sigui saw him with her own eyes before, and frankly, she was happy the first ti she t Ning Tianlang; she even thought that the girl nad Chen Bieli was just deceiving her. But soon, she realized sothing was off, Ning Tianlang was not really Ning Tianlang; he was just a puppet.

Or should we say... a clone?

She wasn’t sure, but in this life she couldn’t find any familiar aspect of Ning Tianlang.

He seed just like a robot, dull, unfamiliar.

Everything had turned very bad, chaotic, many of the matters severely deviating from their original direction. The invasion of the Chinese Continent by the Nightmare Zombie King from Lan Ou Continent shows that they, having evolved to Level 9, also knew the importance of resources!

Resource-scarce areas naturally had to be abandoned; it was ti to choose a new region rich in resources. And which place has the richest resources?

There’s no need to say, it’s obviously the Chinese Continent, which hasn’t been attacked by Zombie Kings yet!

In ancient tis, the Huns attacked the Central Plains continuously because their holand was barren, and the Zombie Kings would do the sa, with the Nightmare Zombie King just being the beginning.

Su Sigui always thought that at so future ti, the Zombie Kings from other continents would unite to attack the Chinese Continent and seize resources!

She felt that this event was destined to happen. As ti passed, her sense of crisis deepened.

Therefore, if a Zombie King could be killed, she would gladly watch the Zombie Kings slaughter each other, and the inevitable Zombie King Battle must occur!

If in the future, Dragon Group took action against the Peace Party smoothly, she feared that it would directly change Li Henian’s thoughts at that ti, leading to a continuous butterfly effect, eventually causing the Chinese Zombie King not to intervene. Without the Chinese Zombie King’s intervention and in the absence of Level 9 New Humans, even if they stopped the Level 9 zombie, humans would still pay a trendously heavy price!

Humans needed ti to recuperate and breed. Even if the probability of this butterfly effect changing the tiline’s script was very small, Su Sigui, who had experienced its power firsthand, would not underestimate it. The butterfly effect’s capacity for change was too great. What had it beco now?

If she caused sothing to happen to Gao Shunan, even if there was no one to push the tiline’s script forward, then it would have to be Su Sigui who took up the mantle to do what had been done!

As for herself, in others’ eyes, it had already beco the norm. In the eyes of anyone connected to Su Sigui, the actions taken by Su Sigui were beyond understanding. It was as if a child had beco stubbornly curious about sothing, not driven by any utilitarian goals, devoid of any motives or thoughts, simply acting on a whim!

She didn’t finish her sentence and, shaking her head, Su Sigui stepped forward. As she appeared, the surrounding soldiers curiously turned their gaze towards her. Su Sigui, an exposed Level 7 New Human at Cloud Gorge Base, was known to the inhabitants there, yet they had never truly seen a Level 7 New Human in person.

Thus, upon her arrival, everyone was curious.

Her powerful strength allowed City of Bright Moon to quickly establish a solid footing after entering Cloud Gorge Base. Despite the significant disparities with Military Tribunal and Dragon Group, when it ca to high-end combat power, City of Bright Moon was completely capable of contending with one of the two major powers!

City of Bright Moon was developing rapidly, showing signs of becoming the third major force. Even though both Dragon Group and Military Tribunal were intent on stopping it, a Level 7 New Human was not an easy target. Should it co to a showdown, a group of Level 6 New Humans might manage to partially destroy Cloud Gorge Base, but it would still likely end in a mutual destruction scenario.

A confrontation with City of Bright Moon also required a clear directive from the man behind the scenes for the two powers. Without his express command to proceed, the outco would be a complete reshuffling of the upper echelons of both Dragon Group and Military Tribunal, after all, that man didn’t care about these matters.

Accompanied by several subordinates, Su Sigui entered a sizable military science headquarters base under the escort of soldiers lined up in two rows.

Upon reaching the second floor, the elevator doors opened. Su Sigui saw a crowd of people standing in front of a large door. So were dressed in neat suits, while others wore combat uniforms, every one of them at least a Level 5 New Human, yet these people were only allowed to stand outside without the qualifications to enter.

Cloud Gorge Base, being the largest sanctuary city in China, housed a population in the tens of millions, including countless strong individuals. At a glance, there were at least a thousand Level 5 New Humans densely packed together!

"Mayor Su, you’ve finally arrived. Please enter quickly; the leaders have been waiting for a long ti."

No sooner had Su Sigui arrived than a woman holding a cigar, clad in a red cheongsam, ca up with a beaming smile. Su Sigui simply nodded slightly, and imdiately, the crowd parted to form a path for her.

The surrounding onlookers cast indescribable glances towards her. Without a word, Su Sigui steadily walked up to the door in front, without any hesitation, pushed it open and entered.
