Su Ze picked up where Chen Suifeng left off. "So, if the Sacred Envoy of Mu Country and the King of Mu have both been parasitized by aliens, and they were working together from the start, then everything makes sense."
Su Ze had never been certain whether the King of Mu had been possessed, but if the Sacred Envoy of Mu Country was possessed, then the King of Mu most likely was as well.
Chen Suifeng nodded. "The bigger problem is, if they’re both possessed, and I help you deal with the King of Mu, it will also alert the ’aliens’ in Lin Hua Country, including their leader. Because they’re all in this together."
Su Ze understood Chen Suifeng’s concerns.
The aliens didn’t want their existence exposed, and Chen Suifeng didn’t want to turn on them prematurely, because his side wasn’t ready either.
But if he helped Su Ze deal with the King of Mu, it could provoke the Sacred Envoy of Mu Country into action, sending things spiraling in an unpredictable direction.
It might even prematurely ignite the conflict between the humans of Blue Star and the aliens.
Yet Chen Suifeng couldn’t just stand by and let Su Ze fend for himself. The trip to Mu Country was too dangerous; Su Ze would very likely die there.
He pondered for a long ti before saying, "How about this? I’ll find an excuse to go to Mu Country on a business trip. When the ti cos, I’ll help you keep the Sacred Envoy of Mu Country occupied. Can you and Yargha handle the King of Mu, just the two of you? Are you confident?"
Su Ze nodded repeatedly at the suggestion. This was the best possible outco. He wouldn’t have to worry about the Sacred Envoy of Mu Country. Otherwise, if that Venerable Powerhouse stepped in to help the King of Mu, he wouldn’t stand a chance.
He and Mr. Ya, working together, could definitely crush any Overlord-class opponent. The only fear was that the King of Mu might have so unimaginable trump card up his sleeve.
If the King of Mu’s body housed an alien soul... They knew nothing about alien thods, so Su Ze wasn’t completely confident.
’But I have no other choice. I have to try.’
"Roughly when are you leaving for Mu Country? I need to arrange my schedule in advance," Chen Suifeng asked.
"We’re setting out tomorrow, but we have sothing to take care of on the way, so we might be delayed for a few days."
"Alright. In that case, let know the day before you’re ready to make your move."
...
「The next morning」
Su Ze and Mr. Ya took a plane back to Dongli.
The two planned to rest briefly in Dongli before heading directly to Luofan Country. On the way, they would make a detour to Miracle Oasis to visit the Mother Tree.
Last night, Su Ze had called Ju Han to ask if the Mother Tree could offer him any help. After all, his trip to Mu Country was fraught with danger, and the Mother Tree had already placed a bet on him.
’Mother Tree, you don’t want your previous investnt in to go down the drain, do you?’
’You don’t want your master to go without treatnt, right?’
And so, the Mother Tree had told him to pay a visit before he left for Mu Country.
As for the Bloodline Crystal, Su Ze had originally considered absorbing it last night, but on second thought, he decided to wait until he was back in Dongli.
’After all, I’ve never absorbed one of these things before. I’d feel much more at ease with Liou Wenxin there to guide .’
「That afternoon」
The two of them returned to Dongli University. After buying a milk tea for Liou Wenxin at the campus gate, they went straight to her laboratory.
"You two are quite famous now. News about you is all over TV and the internet. So students at the university even started a fan club for you," Liou Wenxin teased.
The influence of the Three-Continent Overlord Exchange Tournant was imnse. It was a competition broadcast live across the entire Lin Hua Continent, watched by the whole nation.
Mr. Ya had won the championship, and Su Ze had effortlessly crushed three opponents at once, making them the center of attention throughout the Lin Hua Continent.
And as Dongli’s Guardian Gods, the people of Dongli naturally shared in their glory, viewing the pair as the pride of Dongli and national heroes.
Su Ze handed her the milk tea and smiled. "We’re just good at fighting. The advancent of humanity really depends on scientists like you."
"Alright, enough joking around. Take out the Bloodline Crystal," Liou Wenxin said, getting straight to the point. She knew Su Ze had co to absorb it.
Su Ze imdiately took out the Bloodline Crystal and followed Liou Wenxin to a rest area inside the lab. He sat on the bed, ready for her instructions.
"First, get yourself into optimal condition. Bring both your body and mind to their peak state before you begin absorbing the Bloodline Crystal."
Su Ze took a deep breath and closed his eyes. He relaxed his entire body, cleared his mind, and banished all distracting thoughts.
Once his Evolutionary Power and Spiritual Power were both fully restored, he opened his eyes and looked at Liou Wenxin.
"Go ahead and start absorbing it. You should already know the thod," Liou Wenxin said.
Su Ze nodded and picked up the Bloodline Crystal beside him.
Unlike typical extracts, the Bloodline Crystal could not be taken orally. As a crystalline object, it also couldn’t be injected. Instead, it had to co into contact with one’s own flesh and blood to be absorbed.
The Bloodline Crystal was an irregularly shaped crystalline object with many sharp edges, and it was incredibly hard.
Su Ze took one of the sharp corners, aid it at his arm, and stabbed down hard.
The sharp edge pierced his skin. As soon as the purple crystal touched his blood, it imdiately began to lt, flowing into his flesh and blood bit by bit.
"Use your Evolutionary Power and Spiritual Power to make contact with the Bloodline Crystal and establish a connection!" Liou Wenxin reminded him from the side.
Su Ze’s Evolutionary Power imdiately surged toward the wound, rging with the purple energy lting from the Bloodline Crystal. At the sa ti, his Spiritual Power entered the Bloodline Crystal with ease.
Su Ze’s entire body trembled. He felt as if he were experiencing things he had never been through before as fragnted images appeared in his mind. When he focused on these images, he felt as if he were actually there.
"Kill!"
