Chapter 200: Chapter 176: Big Sis, I Don’t Want to Work Hard Anymore (3)
...
「In Liou Wenxin’s laboratory.」
Su Ze lay inside the instrunt, undergoing a full-body scan.
He had just finished testing his strength, speed, and other trics. After this scan, the results would be nearly ready.
A mont later, Su Ze stepped out of the instrunt and saw Liou Wenxin staring intently at the data on the monitor, studying it carefully.
"Sister, how is it?" Su Ze asked.
Liou Wenxin closed her eyes and calculated silently for a mont before saying, "Your current physique is on par with most Butterfly Stage evolvers who haven’t absorbed a Tier-4 extract. Your bone density, in particular, surpasses that of an average evolver at the Peak of Butterfly Transformation Stage. Your success rate for absorbing a Tier-4 Grade-D extract is now as high as 91%."
"Ninety-one percent? Isn’t that a sure thing?!" Su Ze said, excited.
With his luck, he felt there was no difference between 91% and 100%.
From having no hope to it being practically in the bag, all his hard work during this ti had paid off.
But Su Ze was never one to be easily satisfied. He pressed on, "What’s the success rate for absorbing a Tier-4 Grade-C extract?"
"Eleven percent."
"That low?! What about Grade-B?"
"Zero."
"All right."
’It seems that getting it done in one go by directly absorbing a high-grade Tier-4 extract is still impossible.’
’Tier-4 Grade-C is still sothing I can strive for, but Grade-B is out of the question.’
Liou Wenxin seed to have read his mind. "So you’re not planning to absorb the Tier-4 Grade-D extract right away? You want to improve your physique more and go for a Grade-C?"
Su Ze thought for a mont before replying seriously, "First, I need to decide which Tier-4 extract I actually want to absorb, then figure out how to get it. Tier-4 extracts aren’t easy to co by. Until I obtain my target extract, I’ll continue to strengthen my body.
"If I haven’t found a suitable Tier-4 Grade-D extract by the ti my physique improves enough to absorb a Grade-C, then of course I’ll switch my target."
"That’s fine." Liou Wenxin approved of Su Ze’s plan to keep his options open. It was a very prudent strategy.
She then added, "Actually, the Dongli National Treasury has so low-grade Tier-4 extracts in stock. You could take a look."
The Dongli National Treasury didn’t have a single high-grade Tier-4 extract. This was because only by absorbing a high-grade Tier-4 extract could a Butterfly Stage evolver qualify to ascend to the Saint level, so extracts of this quality were in high demand.
Low-grade Tier-4 extracts, however, were often unwanted. After all, which evolver who reached the Butterfly Stage didn’t aspire to the Saint level? Many would rather have quality over quantity, leaving a skill slot empty rather than absorbing a low-grade Tier-4 extract and ruining their path of evolution.
Only as a last resort, after completely giving up on reaching the Saint level, would soone absorb a low-grade Tier-4 extract.
Su Ze scratched his head. "My clearance level isn’t high enough. I can’t view or buy the Tier-4 extracts in the National Treasury."
Liou Wenxin took Su Ze’s phone and logged directly into her own account.
"Use my account. If you see one you like, I’ll gift it to you."
"My sister is the best." Su Ze took the phone and glanced at Liou Wenxin’s account information.
Clearance: Grade A
Contribution Points: 9,800,000
’Holy shit!’
Su Ze was so shocked by the number of contribution points that his eyes widened.
’He’d thought he was hot stuff with his tens of billions, but compared to his sister, he was nothing!’
Although contribution points weren’t money and couldn’t be traded, they could be used to directly exchange for all sorts of Evolution Items from the Dongli National Treasury. And with Liou Wenxin’s Grade A clearance, she could freely exchange for any resource at Tier-4 or below!
Those 9.8 million contribution points alone were worth hundreds of billions.
But considering the value Liou Wenxin’s research had created for Dongli, it wasn’t surprising she had so many contribution points.
Su Ze knew that Liou Wenxin also had a long-term partnership with Life Pharmaceutical Company. Her account there held at least a million points, and it was constantly increasing.
’He was struck by a profound realization: research was seriously lucrative!’
Liou Wenxin was only a Cocoon Stage evolver, yet she possessed wealth that many in the Butterfly Stage could only dream of.
’Sister, I don’t want to work hard anymore...’
Su Ze scrolled through the Tier-4 extracts in the Dongli National Treasury on the phone. There were over fifty vials of Tier-4 Grade-D extracts in stock!
That was quite a lot.
Furthermore, the exchange price was generally between 100,000 and 150,000 contribution points, which was surprisingly cheaper than a Tier-3 Grade-S extract.
But demand dictated the market. Tier-3 Grade-S extracts were sought after by all Cocoon Stage evolvers, while Tier-4 Grade-D extracts were disdained by those in the Butterfly Stage.
As Su Ze looked through them one by one, he noticed that the skills attached to Tier-4 extracts were a huge step up from those of Tier-3 extracts!
This was a qualitative leap. Tier-4 skills already belonged to the higher Saint level.
Only humans were uniquely blessed to be able to master Saint-level skills while still in the Butterfly Stage.
After looking through everything, Su Ze found himself in a dilemma. It wasn’t that there was nothing he liked; he was just spoiled for choice.
’Most of the skills seem pretty strong.’
After a brief thought, he filtered the list to show the Tier-4 Grade-C extracts and started browsing.
He only glanced at a few before putting the phone down.
He suddenly realized he could no longer bring himself to consider the Tier-4 Grade-D extracts he had just been browsing.
"It feels like the Tier-4 Grade-C extracts are a lot stronger than the Grade-D ones," he said, looking at Liou Wenxin.
Liou Wenxin gave him an "I-saw-that-coming" look and deliberately asked, "And so?"
"So... maybe I should try a little harder and aim for a Tier-4 Grade-C extract after all."
"I knew it." Liou Wenxin wasn’t surprised by his choice at all. "Check the shopping cart. There are two vials in there that I picked out for you a while ago."
Su Ze picked up the phone, opened the shopping cart, and sure enough, two vials of Tier-4 Grade-C extract were sitting quietly inside.
So Liou Wenxin had anticipated his choice all along.
"No one knows
better than you, sister!"
Su Ze began to carefully examine the information on the two extracts.
