Chapter 238: Chapter 237 Preemptive Strike

Fei Bing opened the comnts section with trepidation.

A new account had posted a video just half an hour ago, yet it had already garnered dozens of comnts.

Even the top-comnted one had attached a chat history.

Fei Bing’s Adam’s apple did an anxious bob, and he took a glance to see that the avatars on both sides were pixelated, but the content inside…

“Smack!”

Fei Bing slamd his phone down, unable to contain his rage, “Which fucker is screwing with !”

The secretary’s eyelid twitched, hastily reclaiming her own phone, thinking, My dear Mr. Fei, you can be angry, but why take it out on my phone?

Fei Bing glared at his female secretary, “Can we contact the person who posted the video?”

The secretary shook her head, “They’ve turned off private ssaging.”

“Fuck their mother!”

Fei Bing cursed again.

He was busy planning to bring down Shen Yuan’s Jingfu, so why had this suddenly popped up?

Hadn’t these issues already been suppressed? He had even paid the hush money, so how co they were being dug up again?

Who the hell took this video anyway?

His family’s company had finally beco a leading industry player in Star City, even ranking among the best in the province.

If all these things were exposed, the damage to the company’s reputation would be imasurable—his father would chop him up if he found out!

The female secretary carefully said, “Mr. Fei, it seems planned. So many comnts in such a short ti must an they’ve paid for fake engagent.”

“You think I don’t know that?”

Fei Bing said impatiently, “They didn’t expose everything directly, all pixelated, definitely trying to extort sothing, but I don’t know who’s behind it.”

After a mont’s consideration, the female secretary asked, “Mr. Fei… have you offended soone recently?”

“How could that be possible,”

Fei Bing said with displeasure, “I haven’t been fucking around in the company lately.”

“Although… if you’re talking about offending people, there is soone, but it wasn’t who offended him; he offended .”

Fei Bing pondered for a while then shook his head, “Shouldn’t be him. That son of a bitch cussed out, and I haven’t had the chance to deal with him yet, so how could he directly screw with ?”

“Wait a minute!”

Fei Bing suddenly rembered sothing, “That lackey Yu Jifeng seed to have gone to Jingfu, he’s one of the victims, that bastard hit too, and now Shen Yuan is his boss.”

“It couldn’t really be Shen Yuan…”

At this point, Fei Bing’s back broke out in cold sweat, he had just started a eting to discuss this issue, had Shen Yuan gotten wind of it so quickly? And acted so swiftly?

Plus, that son of a bitch doesn’t play by the rules. Sure, we’re all civilized, so a bit of business competition is normal, but this son of a bitch resorted to such underhanded ans?

“Motherfucker!”

Fei Bing slamd his fist on the table. This was the first ti he had encountered such a shaless person. It was he who was insulted, yet before he could act, the other side began to bite back.

What kind of bullshit is this!

On the other hand, Jin Zhifa also ca across the video. He shouldn’t have known about the dirty deeds Fei Bing did.

Yet every ti after doing such things, Fei Bing would boast in front of him—saying stuff like, “Milfs have the real flavor,” “Those company chumps dare not even fart,” “A bit of money will smooth things over.”

So the mont he saw the video, Jin Zhifa imdiately got it and with a smirk, turned to his cousin, “Your classmate’s work, isn’t it?”

Jin Kangwen replied with a noncommital smile, “Well, I wouldn’t know about that.”

Hearing his cousin’s words, Jin Zhifa felt almost certain it was him, “Your classmate moves fast, got the news in the morning and thrust the matter into the lilight by the afternoon, exposing these things is basically stabbing Fei Bing’s lifeline.”

Jin Kangwen remained silent with a smile. It was in line with Shen Yuan’s style of doing things—this guy was quite a scrapper back in middle school, quite notorious at that.

“Fei Bing has no one to bla but himself. Everyone he could’ve crossed, but he just had to pick him, now he stepped on a tough nail.”

Jin Kangwen rely smiled noncommittally, “What’s the use of having money and size? As long as Fei Bing is in soone’s grip, he’s easily controlled.”

“Interesting, really interesting.”

Jin Zhifa was intrigued, “But since your classmate pixelated the video, it shows he hasn’t gone to the extre.”

Jin Kangwen knew clearly in his heart, “If Fei Bing wants to suppress this matter, he’s definitely going to bleed a lot of money, and Shen Yuan isn’t an easy one to satisfy.”

“Truth is, quite a few people are displeased with Fei Bing. Having soone discipline him is also a good thing.”

As Jin Zhifa himself had a rather poor opinion of Fei Bing, he now rather enjoyed the schadenfreude and was not averse to watching the drama unfold.

Just then, Jin Zhifa’s phone suddenly rang. The cousins exchanged a look, understanding each other without words, then Jin Zhifa answered the call.

“Hello, Bing.”

“…”

“How could it be my cousin who snitched? I haven’t told him anything, and besides, my cousin’s relationship with Shen Yuan is pretty average.”

“…”

“I’ll ask, but whatever the result, I can’t guarantee anything.”

“…”

“Alright, alright, I’ll tell you the mont I get any answer.”

“…”

After hanging up, Jin Zhifa said with a laugh, “He still thinks it was you who snitched.”

“It was who snitched,”

Jin Kangwen shrugged, “You can just tell him; it doesn’t matter anyway, as our family has no business dealings with them.”

“Let’s not. In the end, you’re my cousin; he’ll definitely bla for it,”

Jin Zhifa waved it off and continued, “But he’s not giving up yet; he wants to invite you to dinner to try to dig up so dirt on Shen Yuan.”

“Is he an idiot?”

Jin Kangwen scoffed, “He’s still thinking of getting chips to play with, but all will be laid open tomorrow morning, giving him no ti at all.”

“Tell him in half an hour, Shen Yuan is a model of virtue with no dirt, and I’m not close to Shen Yuan, so I’m not clear on the rest.”

Jin Zhifa nodded, “Okay, that’s what I’ve been thinking, too.”

Fei Bing, in their circle, relying on his family’s large business, always thought of himself as an entitled son of heaven who could summon the wind and rain.

But without real struggle, how could he expect that the other party might preemptively attack?

People like him, if not relying on their families, probably couldn’t even adapt to social rules.

“…..”

On the other side, while Shen Yuan was in the car, he received a ssage from Jin Kangwen, saying that Fei Bing still wanted to dig up dirt on him.

Speaking of which, Shen Yuan didn’t really have any dirt. The System’s inco was legal and transparent, with traceable sources, and he was an excellent International campus student and one of the top ten university students, who might even be nad one of Star City’s top ten university students next sester.

The only dirt on him was, perhaps, that he had too many won.

But Shen Yuan didn’t go after other people’s wives like Fei Bing did, so even if Fei Bing could dig sothing up, it wouldn’t be useful.

Fei Bing was naïve; if I’m going to take you down, I certainly wouldn’t give you ti to catch your breath.

Shen Yuan found a place to pull over and stop his car, then sent a WeChat ssage to Mo Zhenwang: “Let’s release so more explosive news. The number of comnts and likes must be higher than the last one, to create a sense of escalation.”

Mo Zhenwang: “Okay, I’ll arrange it.”

While Mo Zhenwang was making the arrangents, Fei Bing paced around his office like an ant on a hot pan, agitated and uneasy.

The longer the video stayed online, the more he worried his old man would find it. For such matters, he didn’t dare reveal a thing to his family.

Finally, his phone rang, and Fei Bing hurriedly picked it up to see it was a call from Jin Zhilai.

“Hello, Old Jin, what’s the word?”

In such a short ti, Fei Bing didn’t expect Old Jin to have dug up much. Whatever he could get was enough—just sothing for the negotiation table, so he could save a bit of face and cut a little less flesh.

“…..”

“No dirt? How’s that possible!”

“…..”

“I don’t believe it. Does he not have a single piece of scandalous history?”

“…..”

“Damn!”

“…..”

“No, no, not cursing you, cursing him. Alright, got it, I’ll think of sothing.”

After hanging up, Fei Bing dejectedly slumped into his office chair. Now he was thoroughly screwed, with no useful news at all.

“Knock knock.”

There was another knock on the glass door. Fei Bing looked up and saw his secretary, her expression not looking good.

“Damn! Looks like more bad news!”

Fei Bing’s face darkened further, and he waved, “Co in!”

The female secretary walked in slowly, her brows slightly furrowed, and handed over a phone. “Mr. Fei, take a look.”

Fei Bing took a deep breath and then hit play on a video on the phone, which showed a screen recording of a string of chat records, the complete details of his flirty conversation with Yu Jifeng’s wife.

That wasn’t all; the attached text stated that they would publicly reveal the parties involved in the chat at 10 p.m. tonight.

Beneath the video, there were already over a hundred comnts and more than a thousand likes.

“Damn it!”

“This is a threat! A blatant threat!”

Fei Bing’s knuckles turned white as he clenched his fists, shaking with rage throughout his body.

Seeing this, the female secretary hastily retracted her phone, fearing that Fei Bing might smash her phone with a slap.

“Mr. Fei… shall we make peace with that person?”

The female secretary asked warily.

“Damn it! I’ll step on you one day!”

Fei Bing cursed into the air, feeling extrely stifled, with nowhere to vent but to curse soone out loud.

After verbally letting off steam, he sighed in resignation and then took out his phone to call Jin Zhilai.

“Hello, Old Jin, I need a favor.”

Jin Zhifa on the other end of the line was slightly stunned, thinking it was the first ti Fei Bing talked to him in such a tone—it was truly a rare sight.

“Bing, go ahead.”

“Help set up a eting with Shen Yuan. Tell him I’d like to invite him to dinner, in a private dining room at Nanjing Restaurant.”

“…..”

“Give it a try, thanks, Old Jin.”

“…..”

After hanging up the phone, Fei Bing continued cursing under his breath, “What a piece of work!”

On the other side, Shen Yuan had already t the class belle at St. Regis Hotel.

“Yuan Babe!”

As soon as she entered the suite, Fang Minhui joyfully jumped over, hooking her arms around Shen Yuan’s neck and her legs around his waist.

Shen Yuan, worried she might slip, had no choice but to support her by her buttocks. He smiled and said, “You’re so excited.”

“Of course, I haven’t seen you in 10 days.”

Fang Minhui pouted, “That’s 240 hours or 14,400 minutes if you calculate it by minutes.”

Shen Yuan said helplessly, “What about the two-month sumr vacation? Did you calculate that?”

“I’ve thought about the sumr vacation already. I’ll go back for a week and then co back to spend ti with you.”

Fang Minhui’s face lit up with a bright smile, showing her neat, white teeth. “How about that? Isn’t that thoughtful?”

“Good, but the place over there might not be ready to live in so soon. Even though the materials are eco-friendly, installation and entry still take ti. And rember, before moving in, have the formaldehyde company co for a test.”

“Uh-huh, I know.”
