Chapter 235: Chapter 234 Damn, he’s faking it again!

The next morning, as sunlight filtered through the gaps in the curtains and into the bedroom, Shen Yuan was awakened by the brightness, his eyes opening groggily.

Out of habit, he reached out his hand to the right, but last night’s plumpness was gone.

Oh no!

Suddenly, Shen Yuan realized sothing was off and sat up in a hurry.

He looked around, assured himself that it was Teacher Lih’s bedroom, and then let out a heavy sigh of relief.

Phew!

That was close.

Last night, after the rain had abated and the winds cald, Shen Yuan left Teacher Lih’s room and went to Lih ng’s room. The mont he had gotten up, he thought he was still in Lih ng’s room.

Even with Teacher Lih’s understanding nature, if she knew about this, it wouldn’t need saying that everything with Shen Yuan would be completely over, not to ntion the relationship between the two sisters would break down imdiately.

“Knock, knock”

A knocking ca from outside the room, and Lih Xiao, dressed in comfortable ho clothes, stood at the door with a charming smile,

“Awake, are you? Co out for breakfast.”

Teacher Lih’s complexion was rosy, and her black hair hung naturally down her delicate shoulders. She looked like a succulent blossom; who would guess the storm she weathered last night?

Half-jokingly, Shen Yuan slapped the bedside, “Isn’t breakfast just you? Co here and let have a taste.”

Lih Xiao’s cheeks imdiately flushed red, and she said shyly, “If you don’t co out soon, breakfast will get cold.”

After saying this, Lih Xiao ran off, and Shen Yuan rubbed his temples before getting up from the bed.

After brushing his teeth and washing his face, he ca to the dining table, where the Lih sisters were already enjoying their breakfast.

There was millet porridge, stead buns, at-filled baozi, and so pickled vegetables.

The breakfast was relatively light, but for Shen Yuan, who hadn’t skimped on the at and fish lately, it was particularly appetizing.

Shen Yuan slurped the porridge, bit into a stead bun, and downed it with a bit of pickled vegetables, feeling very comfortable in his stomach.

During the al, he took the opportunity to look at the two sisters, both of whom were visibly uneasy, avoiding eye contact.

Lih Xiao was worried her sister would learn of last night’s events, while Lih ng feared her sister would discover what had happened.

Interesting.

Shen Yuan smirked, his mind entertaining mischievous thoughts, as he surreptitiously stepped on Lih ng’s instep with his left foot and rubbed Lih Xiao’s calf with his right.

The two sisters blushed almost simultaneously, and Lih ng even shot Shen Yuan an angry glance, the word “rascal” forming on her lips.

Shen Yuan smiled and raised his eyebrows at her, signaling she had no way to get back at him.

Teacher Lih sipped her porridge with her head down, desperately hoping her sister wouldn’t notice her embarrassnt.

Not satisfied with the level of excitent, Shen Yuan sent a WeChat ssage to Lih Xiao: “Teacher Lih, not only is your teaching superb, but your nurturing is spot-on. I’ll co over another day to learn.”

After sending it, he imdiately followed up with a ssage to Lih ng: “Did my brother-in-law hurt you last night? If it hurt, blink once, if it really hurt, blink twice.”

Lih Xiao’s phone chid, she picked it up and her face reddened even more, like an apple.

The word “nurture” had always been serious in her mind, but since Shen Yuan’s remark last night, she could no longer face it the sa way.

She set down her phone, her head lowered in embarrassnt as she continued to drink her porridge, her peripheral vision hoping Lih ng hadn’t seen it.

anwhile, Lih ng was reading the WeChat ssage and, after understanding it, stomped heavily on Shen Yuan’s foot under the table.

Shen Yuan imdiately let out a pained “ah,” prompting Lih Xiao to glance over in confusion, “What’s wrong?”

Suppressing the pain, Shen Yuan responded with a polite smile, “It’s nothing, just bit my tongue while eating a baozi.”

Lih ng huffed, thinking to herself, let’s see if you dare send such ssages again.

After being stomped on, Shen Yuan didn’t further tease the sisters and instead turned to Lih Xiao, “Teacher Lih, how about I buy you a car?”

Lih Xiao was sipping her porridge and nearly choked. She quickly shook her head frantically like a pecking hen, “No need, no need, I don’t need a car.”

“Get one. It’s a 20-minute walk from here to school, but with a car, it would take less than 10 minutes,” Shen Yuan said, glancing at Lih ng before adding with a smile, “Besides, your skin is so fair that walking too much will make you tan.”

“Really, there’s no need. Walking is good exercise,” said Lih Xiao, feeling the price of a car was too extravagant, and already feeling uneasy about Shen Yuan paying for dinner the night before.

“Sis, just accept it if Shen Yuan wants to give you one,” Lih ng urged, poking the bottom of her bowl with a spoon, looking sour, “Anyway, it’s not like he’s short of money.”

“I can’t,” Lih Xiao remained adamant, looking seriously at Shen Yuan, “I know you have the money, Shen Yuan, but you can’t just spend it any old way, and I don’t need a car.”

“You think you don’t need one because you’re not used to driving,” said Shen Yuan as he gently brushed her hair back behind her ear, “Once you get used to it, you’ll find you can’t do without a car.”

The unexpected intimate gesture startled Lih Xiao so much that she forgot to refuse, and with her sister present, she grew suddenly flushed.

Lih ng poked even harder, the bottom of the bowl clanging loudly, ntally noting Shen Yuan was definitely trying to rile her up. She was the type to hold grudges, and stomped down hard again, but Shen Yuan, having anticipated it, quickly withdrew his foot, causing her to miss.

Frustrated and unable to vent, Lih ng said, “Sis, you have to buy it, and it can’t be too cheap. He drives a 3-million yuan Benz G-Class, so you have to get at least a 1-million yuan car.”

Lih ng thought Shen Yuan would at most offer to buy her sister a car worth a few hundred thousand yuan, so she suggested 1 million yuan to make him bleed a little.

“No, no…” Lih Xiao was firmly shaking her head again, but Shen Yuan playfully retorted, “Don’t say 1 million, 2 million is no issue.”

Lih Xiao was stunned for a mont, not quite able to respond, while Lih ng stomped her foot in frustration, cursing that she had let him show off again!

Lih Xiao took Shen Yuan’s hand under the table, her voice filled with emotion, “Shen Yuan, I really don’t need a car.”

“It’s fine, let’s buy one. I’m free today, I’ll accompany you to pick one out.”

Shen Yuan was indeed free that day, and he wasn’t just buying the car for Teacher Lih, but also to show off his wealth.

“Great, I’m off today too. Let’s go together!”

Lih ng, not waiting for her sister to refuse again, said stubbornly.

Shen Yuan glanced at her and thought to himself that won’s possessiveness could be quite strong. Even towards her own sister, Lih ng still got jealous.

Lih Xiao wanted to decline again, but was coaxed further by Shen Yuan. Finally, she reluctantly agreed on the condition that it wasn’t too expensive – 200,000 yuan would suffice.

But it took so smooth talking from Shen Yuan before she accepted the idea of a car worth between 500,000 to 1 million yuan.

Shen Yuan thought to himself how difficult it was to spend money on Teacher Lih; the 1 million spent would at most co back as 2 million, which wasn’t even enough to cover the change that Liew nglu and Fang Minhui had returned last night.

If it weren’t for the fact that his relationship with Lih ng needed to stay private, Shen Yuan would have bought a car for her too.

He looked at the 73 on her Feel-good Index and thought that, with her personality, she would definitely not go easy and would at least choose a car worth 3 million yuan.

As Lih ng was washing dishes, Teacher Lih brought out a gift box tied with a ribbon from the bedroom and handed it to Shen Yuan.

“What’s this?”

Shen Yuan was puzzled.

“Shen Yuan, happy birthday.”

Lih Xiao said with a captivating smile, revealing her enchantingly beautiful face, “I actually wanted to give it to you last night, but I didn’t have the chance to take it out.”

“Teacher Lih, you even rember my birthday.”

Shen Yuan was a little moved, as he had not ntioned his birthday to Teacher Lih before.

“Don’t you rember? I am your monitor, and all of your IDs are on the roster.”

Lih Xiao smiled playfully and extended her slender finger, “Go ahead, open it.”

“Alright, I’ll open it now.”

Shen Yuan untied the ribbon and then lifted the lid of the gift box to find several items lying on the paper stuffing inside.

He looked and saw not only a razor but also a skincare set, as well as an electric toothbrush and a sports watch.

They were all small items, but all were things that would be used in daily life.

Not expensive, but for Teacher Lih, who earned less than 10,000 yuan a month, they were not cheap either.

“I know you work out often, so I bought you a sports watch.”

Lih Xiao went on, “There’s the electric toothbrush too, because your teeth have so yellow stains, and it’ll clean them better; and there’s this n’s skincare set… Speaking of which, I did ask Lih ng for so advice in choosing these.”

“Thank you, Teacher Lih.”

Shen Yuan showed a content smile and then playfully pinched Lih Xiao’s delicate nose.

Lih Xiao hastily dodged shyly, just as Lih ng walked out and saw this scene. She snorted coldly and then went into the bedroom.

She pulled out a drawer from beneath the desk, took out an AJ shoebox, and placed it on the desk. Her fingers gently caressed the surface of the shoebox as she gazed at it blankly.

Should I give it to him?

On the other hand, in a villa in Kaifu, Fei Bing was woken by the ringtone of his phone, groggily tugging out his cell from under the pillow and pressed the answer button with annoyance, “Hello?”

“Bing, I’ve found out.”

“Found out what?”

Fei Bing mumbled, dissatisfied.

“The thing you asked to inquire about yesterday, Luo Bingying’s first love.”

The male voice said from the other end of the phone.

Fei Bing suddenly beca more alert, rubbing his eyes and sitting up, “Go on.”

“His na is Shen Yuan, a junior at the International campus. His family used to run an overseas travel agency, and now he manages a health managent company by himself.”

“A health managent company?”

Fei Bing’s sleepiness vanished instantly, “Isn’t that just like my family’s business? What’s the na of the company?”

“Jingfu.”

Jingfu?

Fei Bing suddenly burst into laughter, “The original owner of Jingfu, Shih Wenkuan, I know him. That company was going to be sold to us initially, but then soone interfered. I was wondering who ended up buying it; so it was that bastard.”

There was silence on the other end of the phone before Fei Bing could only hear the sound of friction on the phone, followed by a different voice.

“Brother Bing, it’s , Jin Kangwen, Jin Zhifa’s cousin.”

Fei Bing responded indifferently, “What’s up?”

The voice on the other end sounded cheerful, “Shen Yuan is my classmate, and I was the one who told all that stuff to my cousin. I’m just curious to know what’s happened?”

“Not much, just asking around.”

Fei Bing replied impatiently. Last night’s incident was embarrassing enough, and he didn’t want others to know, so he quickly ended the call, “Hanging up, going back to sleep.”

After hanging up, Fei Bing snorted, “Bought a second-rate company and tries to act big in front of . I’ll make sure he’s finished!”

On the other end, Jin Kangwen awkwardly handed the phone back to his cousin Jin Zhifa, “He hung up.”

“That’s just the way he is.”

Jin Zhifa scratched his head, “He’s never been polite to anyone. If it were not for my dad counting on his family’s business, I wouldn’t bother with him.”

“But you better warn your classmate. Fei Bing holds grudges, and he’s ruthless when it cos to getting revenge. Moreover, your classmate should know that Leji is the largest health managent company in Star City.”

Jin Kangwen said with a naive laugh, “Sure, I’ll tell him. But my classmate isn’t soone easy to provoke either.”

“How so?” Jin Zhifa inquired curiously.

Jin Kangwen responded with a grin, “His family’s travel agency went bankrupt a long ti ago, so his assets have nothing to do with his family, it’s all earned by himself. Strictly speaking, my classmate is self-made, but Fei Bing can only be considered a second-generation.”
