Those three unusual orbs of the red, green and blue color respectively were what caught his attention the most.
They stood out from the rest simply because he didn't know what exactly they were.
Could they be the treasures which those three disciples were using?
As Eryndor narrowed his eyes, he picked up the red orb.
Weighing it for a few seconds, he calculated that it was roughly equal to the weight of a tennis ball. Its size was that of a table tennis or a ping pong ball.
He picked the other two with his left hand and concluded that they weighed the sa.
Putting them down, he continued examining the red one.
The surface was even from all sides, there wasn't any irregularity whatsoever. He also couldn't really look on the 'inside', as the color was opaque, sa with the other colors.
Eryndor thought back to the Energy of Consciousness which he sensed and his eyes widened.
Wait, how did I not think of that?
On a second hand, it wasn't Eryndor's mistake; he forgot to include that in his guesses, because he had never actually used it.
A Mystical Artifact.
Fluctuations of Energy of Consciousness didn't only happen while using innate abilities. They also took place if soone was using the Mystical Artifacts they weren't familiar with.
It was the sa with innate abilities, where if soone reached a high enough level of control, they wouldn't leak any aura of Energy of Consciousness.
In Mystical Artifacts, if you had a high enough experience, control, and rapport with the Mystical Artifact, you would eventually reach the stage of not leaking your aura of Energy of Consciousness.
Yes, rapport. Because Mystical Artifacts were equally as strange as the anomalies.
He narrowed his eyes, and imdiately controlled his Energy of Consciousness and tried to input it into the red orb.
As expected, the orb began glowing brightly, before its radiance dimd. That wasn't the end though, as the very next mont, he witnessed the red orb turning into a flash of light and shooting for the skin of his hand.
However, before he could even grasp what was happening, he felt his Energy of Consciousness being siphoned off by the Sovereign's Cloak.
Huh?
He finally caught up on what happened in that fraction of a second.
The red orb had transford into a red light after he put his Energy of Consciousness into it, then it tried to enter his body, only to be blocked off by the Sovereign's Cloak.
Did it attack ? Or is it trying to recognize as the new master?
He had heard of so Mystical Treasures which didn't need to stay in their physical form.
So entered the user's body upon activation and engraved themselves as tattoos, while so even entered the mind space or the bloodstream.
Of course, the conditions for recognizing the person as a master varied from Mystical Artifacts to Mystical Artifacts, with so even having the condition to kill certain people or carry out a certain mission like performing a concert.
In short, the conditions were as varied as the Mystical Artifacts themselves.
Was its condition simply to get Energy of Consciousness of the user?
Or is it because my origin is of an eldritch entity that it obediently recognised as the master?
It could also be that it wasn't recognising as the master but attacking .
Of course, a person could still use a Mystical Artifact even if it didn't recognise them as the master. In fact, so Mystical Artifacts didn't even have the function of making a user their master.
The red light had reverted to red orb. Eryndor was hesitant as he picked up the other colors.
The sa thing repeated themselves twice.
Eryndor was really reluctant to let anything foreign enter his body, because he didn't have any ans of defending himself if that happened.
What if these orbs were really hostile and not acknowledging him as the master?
Can I not use them otherwise?
As ntioned before, one could still use a Mystical Artifact even if it didn't acknowledge the user as the master as plenty of Mystical Artifacts existed which didn't even have that function.
Being recognised as the master simply ant one would have to pay a lesser or no price to use the item, bring about greater effects, and even a leeway on so conditions to activate if any.
Eryndor once again tried to activate these orbs, but the situation kept repeating itself.
After a certain point, he stopped.
It was because his Energy of Consciousness dropped below fifty percent between using it on these orbs and then being consud by the Sovereign's Cloak to defend against them.
He could feel frustration well up inside him as he gazed at those orbs.
Should I take the risk?
There was a silence as Eryndor thought about what to do when he abruptly realised sothing.
Oh wait, I can switch to my eldritch form?
Maybe my eldritch subconscious knows sothing?
He imdiately switched to his eldritch form.
The next mont, he once again poured Energy of Consciousness into the red orb, and then he watched himself willingly deactivate the Sovereign's Cloak and receive the red light which the red orb had transford into.
A mont later, a small red dot appeared on his arm near the shoulder area.
Did the eldritch form let the red orb enter because it sohow knew it wasn't malicious, or because it had confidence in itself to deal with it if things went south?
Eryndor sadly couldn't know. He controlled the eldritch form, sure, being the main consciousness which drove it, but sotis things happened which were beyond his control.
The most prominent example was battle efficiency.
Eryndor himself had pitiful battle efficiency when compared to his eldritch form, but he still exhibited terrifying control and battle style while in his second form despite being fully in control of his body.
Due to this, it sotis felt like it wasn't him in control when he was in his second form.
Alright, I can think about that later.
While still in his second form, he tried to do the sa and poured Energy of Consciousness over the other two orbs.
However, nothing happened this ti.
Suddenly, he heard whispers in his mind.
