Eryndor read through the entire contents of the practice technique before leaning back on his chair completely, and throwing his head back.

It was ntally draining alright. This practice technique was more complicated than the basic one.

Specifically, the route of ridians of Breath of Lightning God was more complex, and longer than the route of the basic practice technique.

In hindsight, it was also a good thing that he was switching his practice technique early.

The thing was, as the amount of ti one spent cultivating increased, the more they got used to their existing route of ridians of the practice technique.

At a certain point, it almost beca their instinct, to control their Qi to go through the routes they have gone through countless tis.

If one switched it later in their path of cultivation, chances were that they would instinctively manipulate the Qi into their previous route while trying to adopt the new route.

This would lead to cultivation deviation.

The amount of ti Eryndor had spent cultivating wasn’t so much that the current route had settled itself firmly in his mind to the point of being an Instinct.

Of course his passive cultivation had certainly accelerated the process, but he wasn’t at that point yet.

He first put a stop to his passive cultivation, then spent the next hour trying to morise the new route of ridians which corresponded to the Breath of Lightning God practice technique.

A little more to go.

Approximately after an additional fifteen minutes later, he had completely morized the route.

Taking a deep breath, he controlled a small amount of Qi and began trying out his new practice technique.

The more the Qi which went into the incorrect ridian, the greater the backlash one would suffer from the resulting cultivation deviation. This was the reason he was beginning with a minute amount of Qi.

A few monts later, Eryndor sighed gently.

Success

The new practice technique certainly felt better. This ti, he controlled more Qi than the previous ti and repeated the process.

I can already feel the changes.

It was an extrely faint feeling, but he did feel sothing different nonetheless.

It’s too early to pinpoint though.

Eryndor couldn’t ’distinctly’ feel what was different, just that there was a change.

Shoving aside those thoughts, he began circulating his Qi according to the new path.

After who knows how many revolutions, he finally felt significant chances.

His Qi felt more electric in nature. His storage felt more impressive than before.

The earlier phenonon of stage dropping took place again, but this ti gradually.

After each revolution, as his storage would grow more, his stage would regress a bit, but it would be imdiately offset by the increased Qi absorbed by the Breath of Lightning God.

He only got to realise this after going through a lot of revolutions.

Because even after cultivating the new practice technique for so long, his realm had only increased by a tiny bit, which was inconsistent since the new one was supposed to have an even higher quantity of Qi absorption.

That was when he rembered the phenonon which took place after consuming the ridian Expansion pill.

With that doubt cleared, Eryndor resud his practice.

A few hours later, he finally felt his progress of cultivation increasing by an amount incomparable to before.

My storage expansion seems to have stopped.

With no more Qi being sent to recover his dropped stage, all the absorbed Qi was used to progress in cultivation.

Eryndor halted his cultivation for a mont, bringing a finger in front of his eye.

He coated it with his Qi, and imdiately saw the tiny sparks of electricity going off on his finger.

This is nice.

This ti, he imbued the Qi ’into’ his finger rather than coating it.

Oh wow.

To be correct of his guess, Eryndor imbued his Qi into a large muscle mass this ti, his entire arm.

Yup, now he was sure of it.

This is like the cultivation art Lightning Infusion.

His arm felt lighter, as if it could react faster, and also more powerful compared to before.

The only difference with the actual cultivation art was, he couldn’t yet infuse his entire body with his Qi yet. His Qi wasn’t that abundant yet.

Lightning Infusion on the other hand, provided a boost to the entire body.

Eryndor reckoned that this art would only be useful till stage nine of Qi Gathering realm, because he would easily be able to infuse his entire body with the amount of Qi a Qi Condensation realm cultivator had, even at stage one.

As for the part about empowering a cultivation art? Eryndor could do it with his plain Qi as well now, since it had Lightning properties.

But he guessed that the amount of Qi he would need to empower a cultivation art would be higher than if he used Lightning Infusion cultivation art to do the sa.

One could say that Lightning Infusion was an enhanced version of what he could already do.

Was it a waste of his free slot? Well, a bit, certainly not so much.

The cultivation art used at the Qi Gathering stage was mostly not effective at the Qi Condensation realm.

Well, they could use it, but the offense, defense and other such paraters wouldn’t be able to hold their own against an opponent who would be using cultivation art of Qi Condensation realm.

Therefore, after breaking through to the Qi Condensation realm, one needed to switch to cultivation arts of the corresponding realm to not fall behind.

And matter of fact, all the skills in the Library which were provided for free were at level one.

So technically, Eryndor didn’t take much of a loss considering that Lightning Infusion would only be effective till stage nine of Qi Gathering realm, since it would’ve been the sa with any other cultivation art.

Sighing deeply, he stretched his body, which had gone stiff after being in the sa position for hours for cultivation.

I feel hungry again.

He got up and headed towards the kitchen. After taking a look at what ingredients were already there, he searched through the cookbook if there was sothing good he could make.

It took him about an hour to make fried rice and chicken gravy.

After he filled his stomach with the al he had made, he saw Paulina enter the kitchen as he was putting the utensils in the advanced dishwasher.

"Oh hello Paulina. Are you hungry as well?"

"Nope, just here to take so snacks."

As she opened a drawer to take out a packet of chips, she asked Eryndor.

"By the way, wanna go see a match tomorrow? A guy with an interesting ability would be fighting in the battle hall."

I should be done with practicing both my cultivation arts today.

He thought for a bit, and agreed to her request.

After so small talk, he bid her goodnight, even though it was a bit early for that, and left the kitchen.

Closing the door to his room behind his back, he plugged in the USB of Sky Piercing Palm.

He already had the content of Lightning Infusion in his phone.

It was ti to learn these cultivation arts before going to sleep.
