A few minutes later, Liliana left the room and Hellen was called in.
Eryndor only had to wait for a few more minutes before his na was called in as well.
Taking a deep breath, he stood up and entered the room.
It was a normal room, with white walls, a table in the center with two chairs on the opposite sides. A lady was already sitting on one of those.
Without saying anything, he took a seat on the chair opposite to her.
"Molina, pleased to be your acquaintance."
The lady extended her hand, which Eryndor shook while introducing himself.
"Eryndor."
"So, Eryndor, I’ll be your guide during this short duration.
"As we speak, both of us are being scanned, which is going to take a few minutes. Before you ask why I am getting scanned as well, it’s because I am sitting alongside you.
"So during those few minutes, you can ask questions or go through the catalogue of things you can exchange for with your contribution points.
"Do you want to exchange it here at the headquarters?"
Oh. So I don’t need to do anything during the scan? This is convenient.
He answered her question. "I’ll exchange it here itself, and I have a few questions as well."
Molina pointed to his pocket where his phone was. "The catalogue for rewards has been sent to your device. The contribution points you’ve gotten as mission rewards will be displayed on top right of the catalogue."
Eryndor took out his phone and began browsing through all the stuff. It took him about five minutes to go through all the stuff which he could buy in detail.
There were a few which stood out, those he had shortlisted to choose from.
"Can I see them before making the choice?"
So of the options he had chosen need to be inspected personally so that he could make a choice.
"You want to try them?"
Molina chuckled.
"It’s allowed, right?"
"Yes, just don’t damage them. Although I doubt you can."
Eryndor gave her a look but refused to elaborate.
"By the way, about those questions."
He asked hesitantly.
Molina replied with a smile and a welcoming gesture.
"Oh yea, ask away."
Eryndor ntally debated with himself before deciding it truly wouldn’t be suspicious.
"Has the Human Federation ever sealed an Eldritch Entity?"
He finally asked the question which had been brewing within his mind. It was the most basic, but still important.
Molina chuckled.
"Oh, no wonder you’d ask that after eting one.
"Well, we did indeed successfully seal an Eldritch Entity ten years ago.
"It’s common knowledge among the agents and also a source of our pride.
"The Federation still suffers from lack of resources due to that mission though."
Eryndor tried his hardest not to show any expression apart from the shock which should be normal after hearing the answer.
A storm was raging in his heart.
Ten years ago. Isn’t that when I was handed to my parents?
Isn’t that when their mories were sealed, and then modified so that they would assu I was their lost child?
Eryndor was now hundred percent sure that he was indeed an Eldritch Entity.
With a deliberate expression of surprise and awe on his face, he further asked.
"Who all participated in that mission? How did they even seal it?"
Maybe he could get more information on himself. Wouldn’t it at least be good to know how he was sealed so that he could take precautions?
He would also be able to have so information on his current condition, of how the Mind Palace appeared, and what the doors inside signified.
Molina patiently answered.
"The information released said that it was through items traded with other Eldritch Entities.
"Don’t ask what it was we traded, that the Eldritch Entities were willing to trade items capable of sealing one as powerful as them. Even I don’t know about that.
"Also, don’t ask about how items powerful enough to seal Eldritch Entities were able to be brought out from the Forbidden Void and still maintained their existence under the Cosmic Limit.
"I am confused about it myself. After all, the Cosmic Limit also applies to items of extraordinary power."
Eryndor knew about this. For example, a pill at level three couldn’t be made at the current Cosmic Limit of level two no matter how talented the alchemist was.
Molina continued.
"As for your question about who all participated, unfortunately every mber of the Human Federation had their mories modified after that mission.
"Now, no one knows who had participated in it back then.
Eryndor’s brows furrowed.
"That high of a secrecy? Soone must’ve still made a mission report though right? You’d need a complete mory of how the mission went after all.
"Not to ntion you’ll also need to keep updating it. No?"
Eryndor had seen how reports about truly powerful entities were constantly updated to monitor how the containnt was holding up, or what actions the entity was taking incase it couldn’t be contained.
Molina smiled.
"Of course, it was Dr. Kirchoff. He was the one who made the mission report and updated it throughout the years.
"Well, to be honest, being the President, no one would’ve known even if he didn’t do anything.
"Anyway, he was the one who modified everyone’s mory.
"You’d imagine there would be so who wouldn’t agree to have their mories be accessed by soone else.
"There were indeed a few people like that, but Dr. Kirchoff was, well, discreet about it.
"Only after he had already modified the mories did people realize what had happened.
"If not for the support he still had among the majority, he wouldn’t have been able to keep his post of President."
Eryndor nodded after he got the answer.
So I wouldn’t be able to get any further answers unless I et the President.
Eryndor then thought of sothing.
Can I take a look at that mission report?
No, not to ntion if it was even possible, just the fact that he was asking this question was suspicious. It didn’t matter if he had his recent mission as a base.
"That was surprising to hear." That was all he replied with.
Molina echoed with his answer.
"Indeed. I wonder how Dr. Kirchoff did it. He was the one who headed the mission by the way.
"It cented his position at the top when it ca to dealing with anomalies."
All the more reason to want to et the man.
Eryndor silently thought but nodded at her words.
The door to their room opened, with a man carrying the rewards he had asked for.
It was ti to check those.
