In the Allied Shinobi Forces’ camp, Kurotsuchi couldn’t help but cover her mouth in shock as she watched her grandfather Ōnoki’s strongest technique, the Dust Release, being effortlessly blocked.
"How are we supposed to defeat sothing like that?!"
"Have faith in the old man and the others."
Her father, Tsuchi, stood beside her, his voice steady and composed.
"Those shinobi have survived countless battles—they won’t surrender so easily!"
Sure enough, the battlefield soon saw a shift in montum.
"Water Release: Water Wall!"
"Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet!"
Mizukage unleashed a series of massive Water Release techniques, their power amplified by the rainy environnt of the Land of Rain. The situation quickly stabilized.
Imdiately after, Jiraiya slamd his palms onto the ground.
"Earth Release: Swamp of the Underworld!"
Just as the Gedo Statue shattered the massive hemispherical rock formation created by Ōnoki’s Earth Release: Mountain Sandwich Technique, the ground beneath its feet transford into a churning swamp.
"ROOOAR!!"
The towering Gedo Statue, its colossal fra stretching toward the heavens, slowly began to sink. In response, it unleashed another barrage of multi-natured chakra spheres from its mouth—many of which bore the sa elental properties as the tailed beasts it had absorbed.
"Dodge!"
A grabbed the still-panting Ōnoki and flung him onto his back as the five Kage scattered.
"Work with , old man!"
Ōnoki, now perched on A’s back, swiftly ford hand seals.
"Earth Release: Light-Weight Rock Technique!"
As the jutsu took effect, A’s body suddenly beca lighter, and his speed increased several tis over.
Like a bolt of lightning splitting the sky, A shot forward, closing the distance to Nagato—who stood atop the Gedo Statue’s head—in an instant. His fist, crackling with lightning, aid a devastating blow straight at Nagato’s face.
At the sa ti, Ōnoki, clinging to A’s shoulder, altered the technique affecting him.
"Earth Release: Heavy-Weight Rock Technique!"
Faced with the terrifying force behind the incoming punch, Nagato rely cast a disdainful glance at the two.
In that sa mont, enormous vines suddenly burst from the Gedo Statue’s shoulders, lashing out and striking A with brutal force.
THUD!
A dull impact echoed as A and Ōnoki were sent flying through the air.
"Boil Release: Skilled Mist Technique!!"
Unnoticed until now, i had ridden atop a platform of sand controlled by Gaara, closing in on the Gedo Statue. From her mouth, she spewed an endless stream of corrosive mist.
"Wind Release: Great Breakthrough!"
Gaara followed up with a powerful wind technique, dispersing the acidic mist across the Gedo Statue’s body.
However, the sand platform beneath their feet, weakened by the constant rain, began to crumble, sending them into a rapid descent.
"Summoning Jutsu!!"
Jiraiya’s voice rang out, and in a puff of smoke, the giant toad Gamabunta appeared.
With a flick of his massive tongue, he snatched i and Gaara out of the air, depositing them safely onto his head.
"Oi oi oi!" Gamabunta took a deep drag from his pipe. "Jiraiya! You trying to get killed by summoning against that thing?!"
As if to emphasize his point, the Gedo Statue let out an earth-shaking roar. Enormous vines erupted from the ground, lifting it free from the swamp, and it began charging toward Gamabunta with thunderous steps.
Though its body stead from the corrosive mist eating away at its outer layer, its flesh was already rapidly regenerating.
"I ain’t fighting that thing!!! No way!!" Gamabunta had no intention of engaging. He imdiately leaped away.
"Earth Release: Rock Golem!!"
At the critical mont, Ōnoki summoned a colossal rock golem of the sa size as the Gedo Statue, intercepting its advance.
"Gamabunta!" Jiraiya shouted. "Use this chance to disperse the storm clouds above us!!"
"Damn it!! You always give the worst jobs!!"
Despite his complaints, Gamabunta stowed his pipe and leaped high into the air. At the peak of his jump, he puffed out his cheeks and aid skyward.
"Water Release: Iron Bullet!"
Several massive water spheres shot from his mouth, piercing holes through the dark storm clouds overhead. Beams of golden sunlight imdiately spilled through the gaps.
"Again!!" Jiraiya roared.
"Bastard!! You’re pushing your luck, Jiraiya!!"
Gamabunta prepared for another leap.
"I’ll help!"
Gaara, still standing atop Gamabunta’s head, manipulated a massive wave of sand to form a temporary platform midair.
"That’s more like it!!"
Gamabunta kicked off the sand with his hind legs, launching himself even higher.
"This ti, we’ll do it together."
Jiraiya rapidly ford hand seals.
"Fire Release: Toad Oil Fla Bullet!!"
A combination of fire and oil erupted from his mouth, forming a massive torrent of flas that scorched the sky, clearing away another large portion of the storm clouds.
Sunlight poured down, and the battlefield was suddenly free of wind and rain.
"We’re falling, kid from the Sand!!"
Gamabunta spread his limbs wide, descending rapidly.
"Understood. Thank you."
Gaara and i rode a platform of sand away from Gamabunta’s head, forming another midair foothold.
"The Tsuchikage and Raikage won’t hold out much longer!"
i’s warning prompted Gaara to redirect their flight toward the other battlefront.
anwhile, Jiraiya and Gamabunta coordinated once more.
"Fire Release: Toad Oil Fla Bullet!!"
Another searing wave of flas engulfed the ground beneath the two golems, drying the muddy terrain completely.
"Rise!!"
Gaara, now flying forward, raised his hands. The earth trembled as a tsunami of sand erupted, forming a towering barrier in front of the heavily damaged rock golem.
A and Ōnoki, standing on the rock golem’s shoulder, seized the opportunity to retreat.
"Sand Burial!!"
Gaara continued forming hand seals.
"Desert Funeral!!"
The sand surged again, transforming the ground beneath the Gedo Statue into a swirling vortex of quicksand.
Simultaneously, two gigantic hands ford from sand shot forward, gripping the Gedo Statue’s arms and dragging it deeper into the sinking earth.
"Well done!" i imdiately followed up. "Lava Release: Quickli Congealing Technique!"
A stream of viscous, yellow acid spewed from her mouth, raining down onto the trapped Gedo Statue.
"Shinra Tensei."
Nagato floated upward, using the repulsive force to deflect the acid around himself, allowing the rest to pour over the Gedo Statue.
"AAAAAAARRRGHHH—!!"
The Gedo Statue howled in agony as its body sizzled and smoked under the corrosive assault.
"It’s working!"
i’s face lit up with triumph, and she pressed the attack.
"Boil Release: Skilled Mist Technique!!"
Another wave of acidic mist enveloped both Nagato and the Gedo Statue.
Gaara guided their sand platform to the ground, while the other three Kage flickered into position beside them. The five stood together once more.
"Did we get them?" Gaara frowned, listening to the Gedo Statue’s agonized cries within the mist.
"It’s not that simple." Jiraiya’s voice was grave. "Rember, Nagato can absorb ninjutsu."
Ōnoki nodded. "Indeed. Even my Dust Release was absorbed by him earlier."
"If this is all you have to offer," Nagato’s voice echoed from within the dissipating mist, "then this war ends here."
The acidic fog visibly thinned as it was rapidly absorbed.
"Just as I thought. The Mizukage’s techniques were nullified," A muttered grimly.
"The Gedo Statue!"
i’s alard cry drew their attention upward.
There, atop the Gedo Statue’s head, its nine previously closed eyes were now—slowly opening.
