The day started like any other.

Felix woke up to his new alarm clock - that is, his pup’s joyous kicking - and pulled the clingy fox off himself, which was a task more difficult than it might have seed, as Remi tirelessly defended his spot on the Oga’s chest. Once he finally succeeded in freeing himself from endless cuddles, Felix got up, drank one of the tonics from the witch, did so stretches, and then made a healthy breakfast for himself (and Remi. Ever since the fox introduced him to the rmaid, Felix decided to fully ’adopt’ him as his ’pet’). And after that, he sat down by the pottery wheel, since he had ti before his shift.

A peaceful, calm morning. Just as Felix wanted his life to be. It’s been over a month since he regained his freedom after a certain annoying Alpha had left the town, and Felix has never felt better. Finally, he could breathe out with relief.

He spun the wheel, shaping the clay under his hands. Having co to an agreent with his boss at work, he was no longer under pressure, and while he still wanted to turn pottery into a source of inco, it was more than just that now. It was such a ditative, calming activity, that it helped Felix relax a lot.

But that day was different. Just as the clay started taking the desired form, his hands faltered, ruining his creation. Because all of a sudden, Felix felt an unwanted presence... Still far away for now, but approaching quickly.

He shot up from his seat, and glanced at his stomach, sticking out in a very obvious way. Although he knew that day had to co eventually, he wasn’t ready for it, not at all!

What was he doing here, even?! They had talked on the phone only two days ago, as per their earlier agreent, and Kade didn’t ntion he was planning to visit Silverfall!

Regardless, now wasn’t the ti to think about Kade’s reasons. Rather, it was ti to act. FAST.

Felix quickly washed his hands, abandoning his ruined creation on the wheel, and got changed, putting on the most loose clothes he could find. When the car pulled over in front of his house, he was just putting on his shoes. A mont later, the knocking ca. Felix quickly put on his new spring jacket, bought at the local second-hand store, at least two sizes too big, and opened the door, slouching his shoulders in a desperate attempt to conceal his stomach.

"What are you doing here?" he snapped, before Kade could so much as utter a word in greeting.

"Huh? I thought you might have missed , so I-"

"I don’t," Felix interrupted, not even letting the Alpha finish the sentence. Why would he? It was just so nonsense, as always.

But Kade wasn’t deterred in the slightest, already used to Felix’s antics. He only grinned in response, "But I did!"

...Of course. Even if Felix interrupted one nonsense, Kade would only respond with another!

"Well, that’s your problem," he sighed, rubbing his forehead. "If that’s all, then can you leave now? I’m a busy person, I don’t have ti to entertain your bull... To entertain you."

"That’s not ’all’, though? Naturally, since I’m here, I want to spend ti with you! I need to recharge myself with so Felix!"

"...Ugh." Felix’s face twisted with disgust. How could Kade say such embarrassing things with a straight face? If it were Felix, then those words would even make it past his throat!

Not wanting to engage in this conversation any longer, he stepped out onto the porch, and closed the door behind himself, turning the lock. Then, he dove under Kade’s arm, and walked onto the street, heading toward the town.

"Hey, where are you going?" Kade chased after him.

Felix didn’t answer, for two reasons. First, saying anything back to Kade would only encourage the Alpha, which was the last thing he needed. Second... Because he actually didn’t know himself. He wasn’t planning to go anywhere besides work that day, and there was still a lot of ti before his shift. He had only left the house because he thought it would be easier to hide his stomach under the jacket...

With Kade following him closely, though, he had to do sothing. First, he went to the park, wandering around the trees, but since he was supposed to be a ’busy person’, he couldn’t exactly spend hours on just this, now could he? So, he decided to go get so shopping done next. There wasn’t anything he needed, actually - he had just got his groceries the day before - but he still did his best to fill his basket.

Oh well. He made sure to watch the expiration dates, so it wouldn’t go to waste. He just wouldn’t have to make the trip the following week, that’s all.

And then, carrying the bags - which a certain Alpha tried to take away from him, but failed - he made his way back ho. Accompanied by the background noise... That is, Kade chattering his tongue away, and getting stubbornly ignored. By the ti he arrived, it was almost ti to head to work.

Just like that, Felix had wasted a good chunk of his day. But what could he do? He really didn’t want to reveal his pregnancy to Kade, not now, not yet... Not ever, actually. His life had been going so well recently, that he wasn’t ready for the stressful tis to return.

But things just wouldn’t go his way. Even as he finished his work a few hours later, Kade was still around. Waiting for him in front of Crossroads.

"You must be tired," he grinned. "Let drive you ho!"

"...No thanks." Felix passed him by. "I would like to get so fresh air!"

"Well, alright, we can walk, then!"

Felix stopped in his steps, and turned around with a sigh. "Can you just leave alone? It’s only been a month!"

"A month and five days."

"Sa difference!"

"Alright, alright. I get it, you want so space," Kade backed down a bit. "But I have sothing important to talk about."

"...Go on, then!"

"In private."

Seeing the change in Felix’s expression at his words, Kade quickly added, "It concerns the thing you gave last ti... You know, when we made the deal."

The rmaid blood?

Felix pressed his lips, hesitating for a mont. Eventually, though, he agreed. "Fine. Let’s go then."

"Nice! Let drive-"

"We’re walking. Or at least I am," Felix cut Kade off, and started walking back ho. He wouldn’t dare sit down in front of the Alpha, not with his protruding stomach! It was already a miracle that Kade hadn’t noticed anything...

Because he didn’t, right? Right?

He couldn’t have, since he wasn’t saying anything!

His internal self-reassurance didn’t do much in terms of relieving Felix’s anxiety though. The Oga was stressing about it the whole way, and the first thing he did after opening the door, was to sniff around to confirm that Remi was in the house. Then, he let Kade in, and without bothering to take off his shoes - would bending down expose his stomach? Felix didn’t know, and didn’t dare to check! - he turned to face Kade.

"Alright. You can talk now."

But Kade remained quiet. He just eyed Felix’s torso...

"Are you not going to take off your jacket?"
