Silence hung on both ends of the line for what felt like eternity after Felix finished relaying the witch’s words to Kade.

"Do you not want to?" Felix was the first to interrupt the silence. "Or do you perhaps need more ti to think about it?"

"No, no, no, I would very much want to give it a try!" Kade rushed to respond. "I was just thinking about how to arrange it... I need to talk to... a few other pack mbers first, but it’s an ergency, so I think everyone is going to agree. It would be best to do it as soon as possible, so would it be fine if we ca tomorrow in the morning?"

"Tomorrow is..." Felix hesitated. When it ca to him, any day was as good as the other, since he was still staying at ho to take care of Vivi - thanks to the witch helping him with the groceries and so on, his savings lasted longer than expected, and he could still go on for another month or two without going to work, if he kept his spendings tight - so he had ti, but... The full moon was just three days ago, so it probably wasn’t the best ti for the witch...

"Please?" Kade pleaded. "The... patient’s condition is truly critical! If we drag it for too long..."

He sounded truly desperate. Felix had never seen (or, well, heard) him that way before...

With a heavy sigh, he looked at Remi, who was resting by his side again. They exchanged glances, Felix asking him a silent question with his gaze... To which the fox nodded his head.

Well, if the fox himself said it was alright, then Felix had no reason to refuse. "Alright. Just let know when you will be arriving."

"Thank you so much! Where should we co? To the witch’s house?"

Remi nodded his head.

"Yes."

"Alright. Will... will I see you there?"

Felix paused for a mont, stroking Remi’s back. "I’ll think about it," he said. Although the real answer was probably going to be ’yes’.

"Great!" The tone of Kade’s voice lifted up a bit. "See you tomorrow, then! And thank you once again. I know I wasn’t supposed to co back to Silverfall for at least a year, but..."

"We’ll talk about that later," Felix clicked his tongue, and disconnected.

If it truly were an ergency, then naturally he wasn’t going to hold that against Kade... But if it turned out to be sothing minor, like a broken bone or the flu, then he swore he would never trust the Alpha again! Felix still had so doubts in his mind regarding that rogue Beta’s, Brian’s, incident, and now Kade was breaking their agreent... With Felix’s permission, yes, but still. Well, technically it was the witch who suggested that...

Which was another thing Felix was curious about, actually. Remi had never shown a shred of positive feelings toward Kade, so why was he willing to help him now? So that the Bloodmoon Pack would be indebted to him? Was that for Felix’s sake, or did he want sothing from the pack himself? He clung to Felix, who was a werewolf, so perhaps he had so interest in wolves... It wouldn’t be surprising if he at least knew the supre packs.

However, Felix didn’t ask. He should be able to find it out eventually. And if it was related to one of the witch’s secrets, then he probably wouldn’t get an honest answer anyway. So, he just went to play with Vivi for a bit, and then went to bed early, to be well-rested the next day. He was already asleep by the ti Kade ssaged him that he was leaving for Silverfall.

It was only when he woke up the next morning that he read the ssage. Which was fine - the road from the Bloodmoon Pack to Silverfall was quite long, so it wouldn’t be until 10 or 11 AM that Kade were to arrive. Felix still had enough ti to shower, have breakfast, and even take Vivi for a short walk before he ca. He stretched his waist and got up from the bed, scratching his neck...

...That was weird.

Felix paused, realizing what he was doing. He had been fine for the past few months, but now, all of a sudden, his neck was itchy again...

But nothing unusual ca out during the checkup, back when he had been examined by that squirrel-like doctor that Kade brought to Silverfall.

Could it perhaps be just a nervous reaction, then? He was stressed about eting Kade again, so he felt itchy. It still didn’t quite add up, though... He was nervous right now, yes, but it wasn’t all that bad. He had been stressed out plenty of tis before, and he didn’t have such a reaction.

Then... If it wasn’t a health issue or a stress response... Perhaps Felix should ask the witch for help? It seed like a bit of a stretch, to assu that there was sothing supernatural going on just because his neck was a bit itchy on one side, when there was no rash, only a bit of redness that could have very well co from his scratching... But asking wouldn’t hurt. Felix had already asked the witch for help with trivial matters, like when he had asked for a balm that would help with his pregnancy stretch marks.

For now, though, he went to the bathroom and jumped in the shower. The itchiness of his neck could wait, now he needed to get ready to start the day. He quickly refreshed himself, then went to the kitchen to make so breakfast. Only for himself, as Remi was nowhere to be seen. Perhaps he had already gone to the witch’s house to prepare, since he might be dealing with a more difficult request today. He fed Vivi and put her in the pram, going out...

He was still in the middle of his morning stroll when Kade sent him a voice ssage.

"Just arrived in Silverfall. We’ll be at the witch’s house in a minute."

...Already? It wasn’t even half past 9 yet. Kade must have rushed quite a bit to get here so quickly...

Felix let out a sigh, and turned around, heading toward the witch’s house. He might have said he’d ’think about it’, but truth be told, he was curious as to what was going on...
