Shoving Lillian up against a wall, Damien slamd his palm right beside Lillian’s held - essentially trapping her in between him and the wall.

A kabedon.

With cold indifference, Lillian looked up - locking eyes with the Hound, who gazed down at her. Damien stood at a height of 6ft4; a stature much greater than Lillian’s.

"Don’t get so cocky as to think you can disrespect people too easily." Damien frowned deeply, "Just because you work under one of the Four Pillars of the Underworld, don’t think you can ignore the most basic of courtesy."

Lillian humd, bored. Despite having been scolded, Lillian chose to show a lack of politeness or respect; her only show of politeness was expressed through hiding her yawn behind her hand.

As much as she wanted to shove Damien back, she knew such an unwarranted act would do her more harm than good if he sohow proved she attacked first.

It was better to stick with what she could expect.

Also, it’s not like her being nice would change much, after all, any decision she would make would ultimately result in Damien giving her an unfair "punishnt"; the punishnt being in the form of what the player would consider an "Unwinnable Boss Fight".

The loss of this fight would ultimately lead her into a route she would rather avoid at all costs, but fortunately, like most unwinnable ga scenarios, the player would be given a way out.

In so routes, by befriending a certain tired, blonde-haired prince, otherwise known as Reph Von Lionbright, the player would be saved by his coincidental walk to the restroom.

Either that, the player would be stumbled upon by Mizuki Von Kirisaya or Emilio Von Nightraven. However, since Reph was stronger than the two combined, he was the better option.

In all honesty, Lillian was kind of looking forward to that mont - it was rather an exciting cutscene.

Seeing as Damien’s gaze on her intensified, Lillian tensed her muscles.

What should follow next would be the offering of a pill, a common tactic Damien used to grasp control over things he wanted - simply, drugging.

The effects of the pill would include an intense sense of dizziness, followed by a haziness in the mind - the effects were comparable to soone having gone through a whole day’s worth of alcohol.

Lillian prepared herself for battle.

Damien, who had sensed the tensing of Lillian’s muscles, wickedly smirked inside his head. The cold expression she was putting on must be a facade to hide her fear!

His nose twitched, having caught a small whiff of Lillian’s pleasant sll.

’How delightful...’ Damien thought.

The young man reached his hand behind his back, as though he was going to reach for sothing. Then, he paused; Damien smiled softly.

"Say~... how about this?" The Hound muttered, "In exchange for looking over your blatant show of disrespect and even relieving the thought of punishing you...

"How about you tell so things about your mistress? I’ve been aning to get to know her a lot better and even clear up so bad air between us."

Lillian blinked, "Eh?"

What was going on? Wasn’t he just about to ask her to take a pill?

’Why is he suddenly going towards a more cooperative path?’

Still in stupor from Damien’s unexpected words, Lillian was left without ti to react to the sudden tilt of her chin upwards.

Damien gave a kind and charismatic smile.

"I would even like to know more about you, as well." His voice turned charming, "I hadn’t ever thought the Roselles’ would possess a servant as radiantly beautiful as you~..."

Lillian instantly went silent, her lips imdiately pressing together tightly.

Thump. Thump. Thump.

Lillian felt her heart rate speed up drastically. She could even feel her body growing hotter by the second due to Damien’s close proximity.

The Rabbit felt a funny feeling inside her stomach; it was like she had a large number of butterflies fluttering inside her stomach.

Was this... Was this love?

...

’Full of shit...’

If the feeling she was experiencing was actually love, then it would be directed not towards claiming Damien’s heart - but ripping it from his chest.

Her heart rate quickening?

Her body temperature rising?

These weren’t born from affection; far from it. The conditions she was experiencing were purely from a burning rage that sprouted from her heart - soon, being pumped across her entire body.

As for the butterflies she was "feeling", she was actually just feeling sick.

Being so close to Damien made her feel sicker than she had ever been.

Motion sickness from travelling on a rocky boat? This was worse. Extre vertigo from the lack of blood? This was much worse than that. Becoming ill from fear of losing her limbs? This was far worse than that.

If what she felt were truly butterflies, then they must be rotten beyond recognition - only able to fly after being magically reanimated.

Damien, unbeknownst to how sick he was making Lillian, he held Lillian’s chin in between his index finger and thumb, holding her in place.

"So~? Do we have a deal?"

When Lillian eventually returned back to reality, she hissed:

"Disgusting..."

She swiftly raised her hand to swat Damien’s hand away from her face, but then...

Lillian saw sothing that caused her to imdiately pause, dead in her tracks, wide-eyed.

Seeing Lillian’s eyes instantly shot wide open, Damien raised an eyebrow, deeply confused. Then, he noticed the atmosphere and lighting around them gradually darkened at an exceeding rate; it felt eerie and cold, but at the sa ti... burningly rageful.

The entire corridor had suddenly gone through a blackout.

Damien felt the hair on the back of his neck stand up straight.

His nose then twitched as he discovered the scent of another person using his keen sense of sll.

Who was there?

When did they get there?

With the urge to turn his head, Damien did just that, but was then pushed back a split second later by sothing cold and sharp.

’Such strength...!’ Damien thought, shocked by the force pressing against the side of his head.

If he had been a regular person, whatever that was pressed against his head would’ve pierced straight through his skull!

Even with the physique of a Tier 1 mage, he was sure he wouldn’t be left uninjured...!

Although struggling to turn his head, Damien managed to shift his gaze to the culprit; more specifically, the thing pressed against the side of his skull.

It was a long, black, jagged, and crystalline barrel of a revolver. It had six individual chambers, completely filled with bullets after the last glow of the handgun’s golden runes pulsed with mana.

His eyes shot wide open in shock before slowly narrowing. This wasn’t the first ti he had a gun to his head.

"Woah, woah, woah... What’s with the suddenness, my friend? We weren’t doing anything bad here~..." Damien smiled, slowly crawling his gaze up to the person’s face.

"How about we all just get along and—"

"I knew I should’ve a closer eye on you - you filthy dog..."

Damien froze instantly.

’A woman?’

Was he being held at gunpoint by a woman? But wait, why was it he felt such strong familiarity with her, then?

Finally reaching the woman’s face with his eyes, Damien was left in utter shock and even fear at what he saw.

The woman’s face was completely shrouded in a mask of absolute darkness; it had no gaps or flaws.

The mask held no other curve or shape except for being completely flat, making it appear two-dinsional and frighteningly alien.

And while the mask seed to refuse to reveal any of the woman’s features, it wasn’t completely successful. For where the woman’s eyes would be were two glowing red orbs that swirled with extre intensity.

The light radiating from her eyes was filled with such pure hatred that it caused even Damien to pause. In all of his years, he had yet to see a look as intense as this one, even when he had stolen countless won from their partners...

He could already feel the thick sll of bloodlust coming from the woman, which was shockingly comparable to the bloodlust he felt earlier from his Bloodhounds!

Who... Who was this person!?

Lillian, who watched as Damien locked eyes with the glowing red eyes, subconsciously thought:

’Is that... Marionette?’

Marionette, who had arrived to see Damien detestably pressing himself against Lillian, found her terrible burning itch in her hands that won’t stop!

And the itching won’t stop until...

"To think you would pull sothing like this so soon... even calling you retarded isn’t enough."

Until she used Damien’s own blood as soothing cream!

"For even those with retardation have their limits of idiocy!"

BANG!

At the sound of a gunshot, Damien moved with extre haste - managing to dodge a point-blank bullet before disappearing off into the darkness.

Lillian, having imdiately taken a step to calm the raging Marionette—

"M-marionette, hold on—!

—Watched as her girlfriend disappeared in the blink of an eye.

Following that, Lillian went blind as the darkness soon eradicated all the light within the corridor and claid the atmosphere.

Why was Marionette here!? What purpose did Marionette have in being here?! Did she co out to find her?!

Lillian didn’t know what was going on; she didn’t know what to expect anymore!

The Rabbit listened keenly to the loud sounds of gunshots and explosions, which echoed out from deeper down the corridor.

That was until she heard—

BANG!

—The sixth gunshot resound.
