Flash. Flash. Flash.

"Hm?"

Having stood up to grab another plate, Marionette felt mana within her earrings flash repeatedly.

Her earrings not only acted as a way for her to store her items, but also acted as a remote disruptor to magical phenona that tried to unconsensually pursue or figure out her location.

It was one of the main reasons why she moved so boldly.

’Fruitless effort.’

"Are you alright, Marionette?" Lillian asked as she walked beside the Assassin, holding her own plate.

Seeing that Lillian had stood up to grab another plate, Marionette nodded. Initially, she was sceptical about whether or not Damien had tampered with the dishes.

Her scepticism only led her to believe that Damien had possibly added a non-lethal type of poison, maybe one that would cause others beco supsceptible to being chard like a poison from an Evercharm flower.

Marionette then glanced at what Lillian was grabbing, "What at is that? Chicken?"

Lillian’s plate was topped with the wings and thigh from what appeared to be a chicken; the skin was cooked to a golden crisp with a subtle amber hue, drizzled with a dark red sauce resembling wine.

The only thing that was off about it was how muscular it was compared to average poultry; it also held the trace of mana.

"Hehe, it’s from a [One-legged Inferno Turkey], I believe. Then, I think this red sauce is made from Emberroot, honey, and so other things."

"Hm... you’re rather knowledgeable on this topic." Marionette muttered, not knowing her words could be taken another way.

Lillian, however, knowing that Marionette didn’t an it that way, nodded exaggeratedly, "I was a big eater back then."

"Is that so? Anyway, it sounds good."

"Mhm, I’ll gladly feed you so when we get back to our table!"

Marionette took a subtle glance at Millis, who had joyfully walked by with her towering plate of [One-legged Inferno Turkey] drizzled in [Emberroot glaze].

Overco with curiosity, Marionette nodded.

"... Please do."

After a little while, Lillian ca to notice sothing odd happening.

Much earlier, she had seen Damien leave and return a few minutes later. She didn’t recall sothing like that happening...

’Maybe I’m just overthinking this...’ Lillian sighed.

When she had discovered nobles began to disappear, she had begun to think and overanalyse little unforeseen things, feeling as though her mories weren’t as reliable as she thought they were.

Although there had been plenty of tis when her mories were shown to be flawed.

’Could’ve just been a toilet break, not a big deal...’

Currently, Lillian was having a toiletbreak of her own. For so fortunate reason, the Darkhounds had a large restroom reserved for only won, and the sa for the n.

When Lillian eventually finished her business, she was abruptly t with the sight of five noblewon walking towards what she thought to be the restroom, with one of them being more or less dragged while the others cackled.

Glittering realisation clouded Lillian’s eyes.

’Ah... I rember this.’

In the ga, there were several scenarios where the players were given choices and opportunities to expand their harem; this was one of such scenarios - a typical ’rescue the damsel in distress’.

Lillian watched as the lady was dragged inside the restroom, briefly locking eye contact with her and being reminded of the woman’s rather dashing beauty.

She stood at a height of around 5ft7 and had long, wavy, pale-gold hair - that was ticulously tied in a ribbon that was soon about to beco undone by the rough pulling of the lady’s hair.

The woman also had an incredibly beautiful dress.

’Aurelia Ker Viremont...’

Because Lillian was dressed as a servant, she was ignored, not completely, though, due to her profound beauty.

’If I rember right, this person goes to the sa school as , but scored much lower in the entrance exam...’

The woman got around a C.

While Lillian continued to delve into her mories to smooth out the details, she didn’t realise the look of realisation Aurelia had in her own eyes.

"W-wait, I know you—"

"Oh, shush and get in!" One of the noblewon said, carelessly pushing Aurelia in before quickly shutting the door.

Lillian saw this, but more or less disregarded it.

Apparently, the family that Aurelia ca from owned a highly reputable fashion company made from the silk that originated from sowhere only they knew - these bullies were going to try extract the information for themselves.

’And at this mont, Aurelia’s attendant must be busy trying to escape the attendants of these bullies, who were ordered to not let her follow after Aurelia.’

The Rabbit sighed again, this ti in a more exasperated and fed-up manner, ’Honestly, these guys are around 18 to 19 years old, bullying is such a pathetic thing to do - especially around this age.’

As Lillian was about to return to Marionette, her ears twitched at the ruckus and cries inside the restroom.

Her mind then flashed with painful and torturous mories of her past life; mories of when she was being bullied constantly.

She stopped midway through her step, her face slowly tilting down as a shadow of her hair fell over her eyes.

Lillian then unknowingly let a sharp sigh of irritation, followed by a deep groan of annoyance as she turned and entered the restroom.

Then, half a second later—

SPLASH!

—The ruckus inside the restroom was replaced with four simultaneous shocked screams.

...

"Woah, woah, woah! She’s fine, Red Eyes!" Millis said with raised hands, facing her palms towards Marionette, who was stubbornly trying to get past her.

"Lillian has been gone for far too long." Marionette stated with furrowed brows, "She isn’t the type of person who takes her ti in the restroom. And that corridor isn’t that long enough to amount to why she has been gone for so long."

Millis clicked her tongue, finding that Marionette’s worries were causing attraction, "Tch, no need to be so damn insecure! I’m sure she’s just going through sothing right now, like a big shit. So, relax~... I don’t think she would like it if ya suddenly bursted in and saw her taking a dump now, right?"

After an unknown, but long amount of ti, Millis was about to convince the concerned Assassin to grudgingly give up.

Unfortunately, this wasn’t sothing Millis wanted.

Unfortunately, this wasn’t sothing Millis wanted - she wanted Marionette to be even more stubborn in what she wants.

"Or~... She might be eting up with soone she knows really well~..."

With her arms folded, Marionette tightly gripped her slender left bicep, her jaws clenching. She would then imdiately bolt towards the door that would lead her in the direction of the restroom.

Marionette swiftly left under Millis’s amused gaze.

Was it really just so she could beco her attendant, or was there so ulterior motive in getting here?

With her arms folded, Marionette tightly gripped her slender left bicep before imdiately bolting in the direction of the restroom - swiftly leaving the dining hall under Millis’s amused eyes.

’It’s always so entertaining when I do these kinds of things.’

As Millis was about to follow the Assassin, so that she could point her in the right direction, she noticed a group of drenched ladies entering the hall - imdiately, gathering the gazes of all 35 nobles here.1

With their beautiful dresses completely soaked, their black eyeliners now appeared as inky tears as they ran to Damien, who beca shocked by their appearances.

He was then told a twisted report of what happened.

It went along the lines of "After helpfully guiding a girl to the restroom, they were suddenly attacked by a servant with white hair and blue eyes."

Damien, who analysed the report given, fell into thought as he tried to recall soone with these features, even asking about how beautiful they were to filter it down.

And after he was hatefully and grudgingly told the servant was extrely gorgeous, a wicked look flashed through his eyes for a brief mont.

Once he had soothed the noblewon’s turmoil, he imdiately left the dining hall again, leaving the atmosphere that used to be joyful and calm.

Having watched this in person, Millis decided against following after Marionette. She instead grinned widely as she couldn’t help but feel excited about when they got back.

"Ooo~!"

’This might be even more fun!’

Millis’s thoughts then were soon broken when she found that more food was brought out.

In total, there should be 40 nobles. I had decided to change what originally was 24, to 40 - mainly, because I thought it made more sense given the reputation of the event.
