SWOOP.
She vanished.
With Nearlo’s ability to swap his and Lillian’s location around with the surrounding debris, they were effectively making them unable to be damaged unless sloppy with their timing and movents!
But that’s not all...
SWIP!
Piercing through the Drowned King’s chest from behind, Lillian coated her sword in her Parasitic Elent, draining the Sea King’s mana.
Since the Drowned King was living solely on mana at this point, Lillian’s attacks were the deadliest due to her elent.
[12h: 39m: 10s]
Before Lillian joined in, the Drowned King lost about 2 hours’ worth of mana. But with Lillian now in the fray, he had already lost around an hour’s worth in the span of a few dozen seconds!
The battle continued to rage on, and by now, the Drowned King had made a discovery.
Swinging his harpoon through the air, he watched as Lillian vanished the mont after she made a gesture with her sword.
So that was it... Every ti she made that gesture, she would also vanish and appear sowhere in his blind spot.
CLANG!
Blocking a strike from Nearlo, the Drowned King turned to his right, prepared to swing his harpoon and also for the gesture Lillian would make.
Lillian flicked her black odachi and tapped the ground; that was the gesture! Or... One that was closely similar to what he had been seeing.
The mont the gesture was made, the Drowned King imdiately turned back around, unwilling to take another hit.
But the mont he turned to his blind spot...
There was no one there.
His eyes widened in a fraction of a second, then it dawned on him.
He was tricked!
Upon his discovery of the trap, it was already too late as a familiar black odachi pierced through his chest again.
[12h: 39m: 25s]
Lillian, stabbing through his chest, cackled in mockery of the Drowned King.
"You over-analyse too much, you fool!"
With her ta-knowledge of the ga and first-hand experience of the Drowned King’s nature to analyse even the slightest bit of movent, Lillian was able to make the Sea King fall into her silent plan.
She was fortunate that Nearlo was smart enough to understand her plan without her saying anything.
Vanishing again, Lillian quickly sent mana into her earring, causing them to emit a burning light.
The Drowned King, having to expend so of his mana to heal his injuries so that he wouldn’t fall apart, was t with the sight of two plasmatic leviathan heads rushing towards him.
At first, he was about to destroy them with his harpoon, just like he did before.
But.
Due to the curse of slowness from the Regular Cutlass, he had severely underestimated the speed of the heads.
With a speed higher than he had expected, they managed to bite down on him and slamd him into the ground, shortly after dragging him to the ground.
The heat from the plasmatic heads caused the coral below the Drowned King to char and lose their vibrant pink; fortunately for him, he was immune to the heat.
[12h: 40m: 00s]
"NGH!" The Drowned King groaned as he felt the terrifying bite force of the heads.
After dragging the Drowned King for 100 tres, one of the two heads suddenly shattered—destroyed by the Drowned King with a single punch.
Right as the other one was about to be destroyed, the Drowned King was left startled as it imdiately changed directions.
It made a sharp turn back to where it originated, heading towards Lillian and Nearlo, who were holding a stance.
With their swords over their heads, they prepared to unleash a combined attack.
A combined Leviathan Descent.
Nearlo began to instruct Lillian.
"Raise yar arm higher, matey! Tense yar muscles! Steady yar breathing and clench yar cheeks too!"
"W-wha—?!"
"Just do what I say!"
After listening to the careful instructions from the Captain, Lillian put what she heard into practice.
But could she really do it?
If an entity like the Jungle Lord struggled to learn this, even with its talents, how could she possibly learn it? Especially in such an intense situation?
...
That’s because she was different. She learned differently. And unlike the Jungle Lord, who could copy the base level of a technique with a single look, she had to put her life on the line to learn sothing properly.
And currently...
Her life was very much on the line.
So, she had to trust in herself and those around her.
Her skills, her friends and companions, and lastly...
"AND! TRUST IN YAR GUT, MATEY!"
The Drowned King, finally freeing himself from the plasmatic head and destroying it, skidded against the ground while watching sothing explode out in the distance.
A tall translucent sea serpent ford over Lillian, its maw wide with sharp teeth and its eyes flashing yellow as its scales quickly took on a darker and blacker shade.
The Black Maw shivered in Lillian’s hand, having t a worthy opponent after days of inactivity! And it seed to have decided to support Lillian as a reward.
Lillian, noticing the reaction, smiled wryly.
"Finally excited now, Black Maw?" But then, her smile beca broad and genuine, "Because too..."
She felt the weight of the leviathan weighing down on her arms. But with a firm stomp, she balanced herself as she prepared herself.
Nearlo did the sa and flashed his swords out, but unlike Lillian, he manifested two illusory leviathans—one for each sword.
Then, they leapt towards the Drowned King, who had already identified the incoming attack.
Intending to no longer waste any more ti, he moved into another stance.
With the current amount of mana he had, he only had an hour and a half left to live.
So, this attack... Would need to be his last so that the plan he had just created could beco a reality.
After finally coming to a stop, he planted his feet into the ground—causing cracks—and gripped his water harpoon tightly.
He then began to chant.
"O’ Drowned God..."
